Our hotel on the Reichenau Island - mein inselglück
Hotel "mein inselglück" on the Reichenau Island welcomes you with 32 double rooms and suites. All rooms are available with comfortable facilities and balconies, with wonderful views over the "Untersee", the Swiss lakeside or across to the Hegau volcanoes.
Our restaurant offers you uncomplicated gastronomy with specialities of the area. We serve a healthy and hearty breakfast from our buffet, snacks in the afternoon prepared with fresh vegetables grown on the Reichenau Island and sweet temptation deserts. For the evening meal we invite you to take a seat at the large dining table.
Up to now the hotel "mein inselglück" does not hold a star. However, we aim to pursue the Categorie 3-Star Superior. Our beautiful hotel on the Reichenau Island is open all the year round. On cooler days we invite you to enjoy our book corner next to the open fire. Relax in our "Wellness Area" with sauna, sanarium, steam bath, infra red cabin, rest room and outdoor area with sunbathing lawn. Indulge in our massage treatments. With our package deals for couples, romantic and sportive people you are guaranteed to experience the Reichenau Island in a very special way. You have access to WLAN and internet for in all areas of the hotel. The car park is situated directly in front of the building or you can park in the underground car park garage.
History
Established in 2014.
From a small farm to a hotel
It all began years ago with a small agricultural business and several cows, pigs and hens. In the 1960s a small greenhouse was built on this farm.
The greenhouse was expanded in the year 1977. At this time Grandad Ruf exchanged larger land properties with smaller plots of land and purchased further land in order to centralize the estate. This is where vegetables were cultivated over years.
Over the course of time, however, the area became too small to be economically viable and therefore other considerations were made of how the future of the following generations could look like. As no current family member could pursue the business of growing vegetables it was decided that the daughter who was working in the tourist industry would establish a hotel on the land. After 7 years of careful planning and one whole year of building we opened the hotel "mein inselglück" on 26th April 2014 welcoming guests from near and far.
