Reading the German reviews for this spot is hilarious! Did we eat at the same place? Do you know…read morewhat a 3-star place is? Craziness! I had a superb meal here. First, great vibes. Quiet, dark, classic (ceramic stove and wood paneling), but also clean and modern. Very helpful staff. The set menu looked nice, but I really wanted rustic. Thus, I started with the pumpkin cream soup. It is served with a full bread service, including butter and chives. It was exactly what I wanted: rich, creamy, full. The show-stopper was the main, where I had veal cheeks in a parsnip puree with red wine sauce. This meat was some of the most tender I've ever eaten. I just wish I had saved some bread because every last fleck of the puree and wine sauce deserved to be consumed. I closed out with the baked apple tiramisu. I'm not really a huge tiramisu guy, but this one didn't go crazy and was subtle. I didn't even realize I was getting black cherry ice cream (my German isn't top class), but it almost outdone the tiramisu. Such a peaceful, quiet night with a lot of other people having their own delicious meals.
