Parked on the street and since I didn't have change, the server was good enough to let me borrow a parking permit so I didn't need to feed the meter. Server was great and willing to explain the various dishes. Ordered the tripe stew, German raviolis and schnitzel. While my kids didn't enjoy it as much, I thought it was great. Really liked their potato salad. While food and service was definitely a solid four, the ambiance/weather (especially when it's hot) and credit card is why I held out to 3.5. If the food is the same the next time, I'll bump up to a to a 4.

Service was a touch slow, but nothing to complain about. The food was where I was not impressed. I ordered a schnitzel with a side of fries. The schnitzel had not enough seasoning to it which rendered it good at best. The fries had zero flavor and the texture was off. The beer I had was good though. I'd pass the next time I was here unless I was in a jiffy in which case it is serviceable.

It was a really lovely beer - my only complaint is that others at the table got twice the amount of foam on top that I got. For food, they have a main menu of all the typical Swabian biergarten foods and but there are also seasonal specials. Right now it's asparagus and strawberries in season, so they were featured prominently. I had a dish of asparagus with crepes and hollandaise, which was very memorable! The asparagus was cooked to this almost creamy consistency while still maintaining the brightness of fresh vegetables. The crepes were buttery and very good. I don't get why it was so expensive though - it was €22 which was more expensive than most of the meat dishes on the menu and it was just a normal-sized dinner. We were in a huge group that reserved the whole restaurant, and for the most part the staff sufficiently managed the big group. There wasn't too long a wait to order and our food came out in a reasonable time.

The meals served to us were plentiful and overwhelmingly tasty- truly authentic German cuisine. The waitress was extremely friendly, we told her we were enjoying ourselves and Stuttgart so much that she even tried to convince us to move there. The whole experience dining outside was perfect; the restaurant is located in a popular but tucked away square with several other restaurants. The food was great, for a fair price, and the waitress brought us out some complimentary biscuits and jam afterwards, which was really nice. Well worth the visit if you're ever exploring downtown Stuttgart. Get an outside table!
