When I came for dinner, I wasn't aware of the buffet that was going on and ended up ordering my samosa and lamb curry. Don't think they had lamb curry, but they still had a number of decent dishes. My waiter gave me naan, which I didn't realize was a separate charge. Really think naan should be part of the meal. I was also given tea, which I didn't order, and told the owner which she didn't charge me for after I brought it up. Since I was told the buffet was on Sunday, I came back for lunch only to find out the buffet is Sunday dinner only. Course, the buffet was only for dinner, so ended up paying the menu price. Expensive lunch. The buffet information is not on their Web site. Found that very annoying.

You're amazing! The staff is very kind and knowledgeable, plus they speak English. Our waitress was attentive and sweet so huge props on customer service, since it's a bit different in Germany compared to states. The atmosphere in Hiami Sushi Bar is very cozy and warm, we sat by the window and watched the rain, so it was truly perfect date mood. It's a fairly small place, with intimate setting, so that's something to consider before coming there. We ordered salmon miso soup and in a weather like we had that day it hit the spot. Maybe it was a warm sake that we had, which is perfect pairing for sushi all time any time. We ordered chef special, it was a way to go since we were happy with every piece of sushi that we had. So highly recommend if you don't know what to order, yet feel super hungry. Chefs special is great choice for two in case you're having a date. Also I have to add that I'm not big on tempura, but oh boy the roll I had was scrumptious! Just the right amount of crunch and fresh combination. Defines you going to order tempura again. He shrugs it off with the words "we don't force anybody to order food, if you want food you have to tell me". Every interaction with the owner made him seem very arrogant and presumptuous. The owner has been in the food service industry for over 20 years, but the service is absurd. After googling I came across an interview where he said "You have to have this profession in your blood", which clearly he doesn't. Needles to say, while reading other reviews this isn't because he has had a bad day, but rather a reoccurring behavior. The food was good and the premise looks good.
