    They have nothing but friendly staff and a very good selection of f cards mostly all graded cards!

    This is perhaps my favorite store to walk around and check out the inventory. There is always…read moresomething new and exciting, almost all with a Christian slant or direct quote on it or in it. The Christian music playing over their sound system relaxes me often to the point I find myself singing hymnals in the middle of the store. This location recently went through a clean-up and reset, so the store looks great. I enjoy walking each aisle to see new inventory. My favorite are the last several aisles flush with seasonal items and decor. The secret to shopping here is to wait until whole categories of items go on sale. Shop smartly and you'll save yourself upwards of 50% off regular prices. The staff are always kind, and they enjoy Sundays off as this is a Christian owned store that recognizes even employees go to church! Thanks Hobby Lobby!

Today at 10:55 AM Friday, October 10, I experienced some of the worst "customer service" I've ever received. The "manager" seemed to not care that customers were waiting to be served as he socialized with the cashiers. My cashier never greeted me in any way. When I asked her how her day was going she just mumbled something in response. I purchased several sparkly items for Christmas. She just laid them all before me on the counter and expected me to carry them out in my arms. In times past the cashiers would ask if I needed a bag, and if I needed anything wrapped. When I asked her if she was going to bag my items, she said "oh you want me to bag them for you? You're supposed to ask for that". She started to cram some glass items down inside the bag with scratchy things. I asked if they could be wrapped and put in another bag. She said "that bag will cost you another nine cents". Then she refused to give me my receipt until I paid my nine cents for said bag. I didn't have nine cents cash. But fortunately, the lady behind me did. The cashier was then rude to the lady behind me making sure she paid the nine cents before I got my receipt. I may have to find another hobby lobby to shop at. The customer service at this one seems to have died. Very disappointing.

You see I live over 2 hours away and I work up there sometimes every few weeks. I usually go in and spend 200-300 bucks usually. There are 2 1/32 Scale Kitty Hawk F-5E Tiger II model kits. One had been there for awhile and had a price tag of 129. The other was alot newer and had a much newer price tag if 129. One new one old, same price. I grabbed the older one because I preferred the markings. It rang up at 179. So the nice red haired fella behind the counter asked for a hand, enter BLAKE EMPLOYEE BADASS OF THE YEAR! Well thats been there a few years we havent updated the tag to the new price. Well Blake there is a newer one with a new tag that also says 129. Well we havent updated the tags and they've been there for a few years, can't do anything about it. Well it can stay for a few more years Blake, Ill pass. This is after I had bought a 65 dollar kit earlier, and was buying another kit and a ton of weathering supplies. I paid for my other kit and weathering supplies, but BIG BADASS BLAKE EMPLOYEE OF THE YEAR, made sure I will NEVER step foot into this store again. You see Blake, dishonorable actions have consequences. You decided not to honor the price displayed, and had not one slight willy of an F to give about your customer. Well Blake, what did that cost the store? How about a customer who spends several hundred dollars each visit. Who's wife was getting ready to. My a 300+ Dollar Gundam as a Christmas gift for our son. A customers son who was getting ready to buy a 500 dollar RV Tank for his mom. Another son that wanted a ride up to buy a 300 dollar RC and 300 bucks worth of kits. I sure hope you learn your lesson before you open your own business, or you wont be open very long treating customers like that. Further I hope you learn your lesson before you drive all the rest of your bosses customers away. Oh yes I have been a loyal hobbytown customer for over 30 years, From Portland to Bremeerton, and in other states. Been a long time shopper and have spent tens of thousands of dollars in Portland. Again, SUPERB job Blake. You won the drive the customer away forever award today by not honoring a price and telling a customer too bad.
