The Christian music playing over their sound system relaxes me often to the point I find myself singing hymnals in the middle of the store. This location recently went through a clean-up and reset, so the store looks great. I enjoy walking each aisle to see new inventory. My favorite are the last several aisles flush with seasonal items and decor. The secret to shopping here is to wait until whole categories of items go on sale. Shop smartly and you'll save yourself upwards of 50% off regular prices. The staff are always kind, and they enjoy Sundays off as this is a Christian owned store that recognizes even employees go to church! Thanks Hobby Lobby!

Today at 10:55 AM Friday, October 10, I experienced some of the worst "customer service" I've ever received. The "manager" seemed to not care that customers were waiting to be served as he socialized with the cashiers. My cashier never greeted me in any way. When I asked her how her day was going she just mumbled something in response. I purchased several sparkly items for Christmas. She just laid them all before me on the counter and expected me to carry them out in my arms. In times past the cashiers would ask if I needed a bag, and if I needed anything wrapped. When I asked her if she was going to bag my items, she said "oh you want me to bag them for you? You're supposed to ask for that". She started to cram some glass items down inside the bag with scratchy things. I asked if they could be wrapped and put in another bag. She said "that bag will cost you another nine cents". Then she refused to give me my receipt until I paid my nine cents for said bag. I didn't have nine cents cash. But fortunately, the lady behind me did. The cashier was then rude to the lady behind me making sure she paid the nine cents before I got my receipt. I may have to find another hobby lobby to shop at. The customer service at this one seems to have died. Very disappointing.

As a non-profit, we rely on the support of our community to keep the program running. Yesterday I stopped into Bigfoot to ask for donations for an upcoming auction/fund raiser. Anyone who has had to do this sort of thing will tell you that it can be rather uncomfortable, and I was, but Bigfoots open handed generosity left me amazed. After I stammered out what we were asking, the shop owner asked what age or skill level we needed and then just started pulling kits of the shelf. "Got any cars, what about armour? How about something for kids? And some tools..." Needless to say, I fairly floated out of the shop, arms full and smiling. When I got home, I told my wife that I am spending ALL my money at Bigfoot Hobbies from now on! Good people, who support their community, deserve the support OF their community. This is a great shop, staffed by great people. Go there and check it out, you won't be dissapointed!

But super smash games was one of those good ones. We bought an N64 from there today (box included) and the empoyees were very respectful by answering every random question I had about the console. In stores, if you need something that goes perfect with what your buying, they will always have it in stock for you to buy (most of the time its pricy) but they were respective of their price and made me feel better about declining their suggestion. They even straight up said best buy is better to get something simmilar. (I was going to buy an AV to hdmi adapter for the n64). Honestly, this store is very good and the selection of games may be a little tight for most people. Employees did say they get good consoles and games often, but sell out fast. But if you find something thats popular and you like it, I would say try to snag it. Though it was very near the holidays so maybe that can vary. (They even included a memory card as we got a game that needed one. Thanks)

There was a little model shop short from the 7-11 and it had gas powered tethered bi-planes and tri planes. Even Snoopys 049 red Barron teather. I used to live in Skyway. Its was a nice place for kids and youth to grow. My favorite thing was working to make money to buy models. AND build. The cost in the 60s was about 3$ a model. That was about as cheap as you can get. Now they are not. However, this store has a lot to choose from and not just one but two or more. Paint galore. Try to get one bottle on Ebay for less than 10. The prices are really nice here and I was in a hurry. But I was happy to see the rare models you cant buy from the REVELLE company on line. It sure is nice to have a model company like this. It looks like they will be around for a while. The workers are awesome, they help you the best they can and provide helpful information on paints you can use on models and what you cant. Their paint brushes are in good taste, they have small bottles of thinner. I forgot to look for the spray paint that hardens paper covered wings that is fuel proof. It dont melt. Thanks you Skyway Model shop for being around. You are rare. Now, I ask you to build a small rail road to show off G, H, and N scale, to stock slot cars and tracks, as well as balsa kits and sky rockets to assemble. I bet Estes would be happy with ya. Best wishes in sales!!!
