As a non-profit, we rely on the support of our community to keep the program running. Yesterday I stopped into Bigfoot to ask for donations for an upcoming auction/fund raiser. Anyone who has had to do this sort of thing will tell you that it can be rather uncomfortable, and I was, but Bigfoots open handed generosity left me amazed. After I stammered out what we were asking, the shop owner asked what age or skill level we needed and then just started pulling kits of the shelf. "Got any cars, what about armour? How about something for kids? And some tools..." Needless to say, I fairly floated out of the shop, arms full and smiling. When I got home, I told my wife that I am spending ALL my money at Bigfoot Hobbies from now on! Good people, who support their community, deserve the support OF their community. My favorite are the last several aisles flush with seasonal items and decor. The secret to shopping here is to wait until whole categories of items go on sale. Today at 10:55 AM Friday, October 10, I experienced some of the worst "customer service" I've ever received. The "manager" seemed to not care that customers were waiting to be served as he socialized with the cashiers. My cashier never greeted me in any way. When I asked her how her day was going she just mumbled something in response. I purchased several sparkly items for Christmas. She just laid them all before me on the counter and expected me to carry them out in my arms. In times past the cashiers would ask if I needed a bag, and if I needed anything wrapped. When I asked her if she was going to bag my items, she said "oh you want me to bag them for you? You're supposed to ask for that". She started to cram some glass items down inside the bag with scratchy things. I asked if they could be wrapped and put in another bag. She said "that bag will cost you another nine cents". Then she refused to give me my receipt until I paid my nine cents for said bag. I didn't have nine cents cash. But fortunately, the lady behind me did. The cashier was then rude to the lady behind me making sure she paid the nine cents before I got my receipt. I may have to find another hobby lobby to shop at. The customer service at this one seems to have died. Very disappointing.

They are swindling the casual buyers by charging obscene amounts of money for unauthentic and cheap items. Specifically with the Anime Statues. Avoid this business at all cost and spend your money elsewhere. I've been unfortunate enough to get two such items being displayed as "new" and authentic. When opened, they were re-packaged and missing all identifying markers of the real items, things such as seals of approval and stickers. When bringing the items back and telling them these are fake I was told "I dont know anything about these things" and only offered an exchange. This should have been my clue as to the disgusting business practices, any store that wont do a return is selling you something that is garbage or fake.

I'm a little disappointed with myself that I was not aware of this shop in all this time I've resided in Tacoma. They have a neat interesting variety of toys and video games. This review is going to focus on my interaction with Alex and Alex from a seller's standpoint. I have a fair amount of collectibles and there were a couple action figures I was looking to (reluctantly) unload (a 1983 Inspector Gadget doll and a NECA Ada Wong to be exact). I had looked online and consulted various other stores in the area and the few offers I had received were far from fair. I'm happy to report that Alex and Andy knew the market and what my items were going for online. We even looked them up together. We had some obligatory endearing haggling and in the end they offered me a fair price for my beloved items. They were the only store that I had spoken with in the local area that were not only fair in their evaluation but even in the same league as the market value. They even appreciated the items as much as I did so I knew they would end up in a good home. Again, I only wished I knew about them sooner. They even straight up said best buy is better to get something simmilar. (I was going to buy an AV to hdmi adapter for the n64). Honestly, this store is very good and the selection of games may be a little tight for most people. Employees did say they get good consoles and games often, but sell out fast.
