If you rely on professionals to help you navigate confusing home repairs, like myself, these aren't your guys. I think this situation came down to a lack of communication that unfortunately left me in a difficult position. About 90% of what Adam said in his response is true, but none of it directly addresses my actual concern. The real issue is whether the company made sure I fully understood the scope of work. Perhaps Adam thought... what idiot would not see it was obvious that the entire built-ins would need to be removed? Hi... it's me, I'm the idiot and truly I had no idea. I thought only a portion of my ceiling would be affected. Given the huge difference between what I understood and what actually happened, I believe the company should have explained this much more clearly. Like many homeowners, I rely on professionals to explain the scope of work in plain terms. I think that's a reasonable expectation. Adam is correct with my quote below but he left out the part where I explained that my issue was solely that I didn't know the built-ins were being removed. This was never clearly communicated to me, nor was I given the opportunity to remove them properly myself. Because of that, I feel my ability to make informed decisions was taken away. I only reached out to Adam directly later, after another contractor told me the closet could have been saved and that the removal was "unnecessarily destructive." Whether that's true or not, I'll never know. because I wasn't given the chance to find out. To clarify, the note about the built-ins wasn't hidden in "fine print," but it was only mentioned once in the "Other Notes" section. It was never discussed verbally, by email, or over the phone, and it wasn't included in the detailed action items. I don't think a single mention buried in a notes section qualifies as meaningful disclosure, especially when no one pointed it out or explained its implications. Perhaps Adam does. Lastly, the other points raised, like the quality of the closet materials, water damage, or insurance support, are not relevant to my concern. But the RRR crew was great to work with, patient with my questions, and accommodating to requests (including wearing masks as I had a 2-week old newborn at home). I contacted a few different people, but Mark was the first to be willing to make it out to us that same day. After checking out the damage, he put my mind at ease and gave us the rundown of his plan of running a few fans and dehumidifiers in our utility closest and in the crawlspace. I asked him a bunch of questions I had, and he answered each one with ease and helped me understand what was going on. Save yourself a headache and find a more reputable company to replace your roof…read more Following a hail storm, PACC Solutions came to inspect the roof and stated there was damage and that insurance would likely cover a whole roof replacement. Kostas was the one who was going door-to-door. I had inquired about my $2K deductible and Kostas told me not to worry about it, they will cover my deductible for me. With that information, which I should've gotten in writing, I signed an agreement to have PACC Solutions contact my house insurance and start the process for a roof replacement. In the meantime, I was given contact information for Claudia who would be managing my roof project. It became almost impossible to get an update or receive a text back from Claudia. Would have to send texts, copy & pasted, multiple times a day for many days to get an answer. Then came time to decide on shingle colors and gutters. Wydler, part of the design team, came to show me the options and told me I owe my first half of my deductible now. I was confused and let him know Kostas had said they will cover my deductible for me and it wasn't something I should worry about. Wydler said it is illegal to offer to cover a deductible and that Kostas has been told multiple times in the past that he isn't supposed to promise that. Wydler said he has had many people tell him Kostas has promised to cover the deductible despite knowing it's illegal. I ended up paying my first half of my deductible that day. Roof was completed on 6/8/2026, there were lifted shingles through the entire back of the house and nails sticking out underneath them, so I reached out on 6/12/26 with my concerns. They scheduled for repairs to be completed on 6/16/26, sent over a confirmation which I agreed to. The weather continued with storms and rain throughout the summer. On 7/31/26, during a rainstorm, I woke up to the sound of dripping water in my kitchen. Water was coming through my kitchen cabinets, the ceiling, and onto the floor. They sent another technician, Anthony, on 8/4/26 who got up on the roof and discovered the issue. He pointed out a roof hook that has cables running from the power lines to my house, and said that's where the water is coming through. He stated the old bolt holes were not filled in prior to re-shingling my roof and that's why water was coming in. He said this is a common issue that they often miss. I asked why this doesn't get checked if they commonly miss this issue but did not get a direct answer, only an apology. Following this, the kitchen in my ceiling began ripping open until the drywall underneath was exposed.They sent their interior team on 8/19/26 with Felipe who then told me that this is such a simple fix, they will scrape the paint, sand it down, and repaint that area. PACC Solutions professional opinion to fix my ceiling after all that rain through the roof, through the attic, through the kitchen ceiling was to scrape & paint. I'm not sure if they thought because I am a woman, I wouldn't know better, it certainly felt like it. Thankfully, prior to this conversation and Felipe's solution, I had my uncle check out the damage. I had picture evidence of wet joists in the attic and wet insulation. I stood my ground and told Felipe this needs to have the drywall cut out & replaced, then sanding and painting, and finally replacing the insulation in the attic. He was very surprised when I asked for more than his solution. He finally agreed and we set a date. The kitchen ceiling repair started on 8/25/26 and on 8/27/26 another worker was to come and finish sanding, paint the ceiling, and replace the insulation. I knew not to trust PACC Solutions anymore, so when he said he was done, I went up to the attic myself to ensure insulation was added. It was not added. I used google translate to communicate with the worker that insulation was not added, he was adamant that it was. He got on the phone and called Felipe, who was not on site, who then tried to convince me that they added insulation, but I won't be able to tell because they used identical insulation. He would not listen to me saying that there are empty spots where insulation was removed but not replaced. He insisted I just can't tell the difference. After work, when I had more time, I went back up to the attic, into the spot and took pictures of the lack of insulation. Felipe then texts me saying, he sees it now, that previous worker must've had a heat stroke and didn't realize the insulation wasn't replaced. It seemed that they weren't expecting a woman to stand up for herself and tried to make excuses until they were presented with physical evidence.
