Dr Wetreich is an amazing practitioner! Far above a mere dentist yet even the impressive title of prosthodontist seems not quite enough to describe him either. He is on a whole other level. I am grateful that he is passing his high level of skill along to dental students in his capacity as Professor at Harvard School of Dental Medicine. Dr Wetreich's expertise and artistry are unmatched. He listens and takes great care to deliver upon a patient's expectations. Unfortunately, my experience with Dr. Wetreich was very disappointing. I returned to his care expecting quality treatment but instead received treatment that led to ongoing dental problems and related issues which remain very difficult to resolve. I regret following his advice to remove a crowned, root-canal-treated wisdom tooth that two prior dentists had advised me to keep, as well as agreeing to a bite adjustment in January 2025. Afterward, I developed tooth sensitivity, lingering toothaches, and what I perceived as changes in my lower face and lips -- including sagging, a sunken appearance, and an aged look. From my perspective, these issues only began after the bite adjustment, and the treatment options I've been offered have been complex, costly, and not reassuring. I deeply regret these decisions and strongly urge others to seek multiple opinions before agreeing to any similar treatments. It was a fortunate day when one of our friends referred Gary Wetrieich to be our dentist. My husband and I came to him with many issues that needed upgrades in order to stand the test of time and comfort. What was clear from the beginning is that Gary is a great dentist. Among the best of dentists, he stands out as the best. Why do I say this? He oversees your oral health. Good oral health makes your overall health vastly better. Quality of life is true quality when your mouth, teeth and gums are comfortable. Heart issues, digestion issues all are improved with good oral health. He is meticulous about your care. He knows how to get the details right. The color of a crown matters. The fit of a filling and/or crown. The height of your teeth that makes chewing more efficient.
