However, once I got checked in which was less than 5 minutes, Dr. Bosetti came out to the waiting room and said he would be right with me...and, he was. I was taken in the back office and had 3 eye exams by the assistants before Dr. Bosetti came in. The care I received by all the staff was efficient, yet thorough. My mother has age-related macular degeneration, so I keep up with my annual eye exams. When I was filling out the required office paperwork, it said be prepared for an hour and a half to two hours for your appointment. Wow! That's unheard of unless an office isn't efficient. Not the case here. Dr. Bosetti is kind, professional and empathetic. He actually listens and is very thorough. I left with two prescriptions for an eye infection that I thought was allergy related and recommendations for supplements and drops. I felt very well taken care of and have a better understanding of my eye health. Glad I found Dr. John Bosetti.

Other ophthalmologists only offered prescriptions for stronger eyeglass lenses and only made passing remarks about early signs of cataract growth. The stronger eyeglasses offered no improvement in my distance vision. Eventually, I could no longer read street name signs while driving. In addition, I barely passed my DMV eye test (yes, even with my glasses!). Luckily, Dr. David Simon opened his office in Napa. After, a series of office visits, eye examinations, and listening to my accounts of diminishing distance vision, Dr. Simon scheduled my lens replacement surgery. Immediately, I knew I was in good hands because Dr. Simon offers thorough, comprehensive eye exams and eye tests using the latest optical equipment. He always maintains a hands-on approach in fulfilling his patient's needs. I'm still amazed at the improvement in my distance vision! By the way, please dismiss any anxiety you may have regarding pain during cataract surgery. He is an excellent and caring provider, explaining all the options and giving his expert opinion. The measurements he obtained, not only for my significantly bad myopia (-13 diopters) and near vision, but also for my astigmatism, were perfect as I can now see all distances without contacts or glasses of any kind. After 61 years without being able to see without them, I am amazed and very happy. The surgeries proceeded exactly as he had explained they would, and I really appreciated being able to do them only one day apart so I had only the one week of recovery rather than two. I give him very high marks!!
