I had been suffering with upper back, shoulder and neck pain for over 10 years. I had seen doctors and physical therapists and had regular massages to get to the point of functioning again but I was never able to get even close to "normal". I had limited range of motion in my neck and wasn't even able to turn my head far enough to check my blind spot when driving. The fear of moving wrong and making anything worse was always with me. When I recently woke up one morning in agonizing pain barely able to get off my bed I was desperate to find someone to help me. I spent all day on the phone trying to find an appointment somewhere local. I stumbled across Dr. Martin's number that afternoon and crossed my fingers and called. I spoke to Dr. Martin personally on the phone. He listened patiently and said they would get me in to see him right away. I was able to get an appointment for first thing the next morning. The staff in his office couldn't be more friendly and accommodating and will do whatever they can to make sure you get the help you need as soon as possible. On my first visit I was so scared to let Dr. Martin adjust my back and neck. The fear of anything becoming worse was overwhelming. Dr. Martin talked me through all of it and put me at ease. He answered all of my questions and gave me his full attention. I never once felt rushed and I knew after one meeting with him that he truly cared about helping me. After just one adjustment I had increased range of motion in my neck! There was light at the end of the tunnel... I have been seeing Dr. Martin regularly for about 6 months or more now and I can tell you that I never imagined I could feel this good again. I am no longer in constant pain. I am no longer in constant fear of "moving wrong". I'm not afraid it will hurt my neck if people hug me now and I have full range of motion in my neck again which I never thought I would have for the rest of my life. I see Dr. Martin on a regular basis and have regular massages with one of the on site massage therapists there as well. When Dr. Martin told me a few months back that things would get better and better I was hopeful but now I have experienced it for myself and I am so grateful! I'm still a work in progress but I'm so happy with where I'm at right now. I tell people all the time that Dr. Martin changed my life! read more

I've had back trouble on and off for decades, but it's always gotten better by itself. This time it didn't, so I went to see Dr. Martin. When I walked in I was unable to stand upright and was in significant discomfort. A week later I was almost completely back to my old self; running, backpacking, speedskating, and enjoying life. I can't recommend him highly enough - and a special shout-out to Paige in the front office, who is always friendly, helpful, and professional. read more

Last week, I went to see Dr. Martin for my first time. He came highly recommended, and I can see why. He is kind, compassionate but most importantly very knowledgeable. I had been suffering with shoulder and neck pain for awhile. Dr. Martin discovered that I was not an alignment, and my pain was from a pinch nerve. After 3 visits, I am pain free. All thanks to Dr. Martin. His office is in a great location with plenty of parking, his staff is very friendly. He takes insurance!! My previous chiropractor did not so what a plus. If you have pain, make an appointment right away as there is no reason to suffer. You will be in healing hands with Dr. Martin. read more

I came here with some major back pain & stiff neck two months ago. After getting the neck X-Ray & exam done, Dr. Martin did some adjustments on me and I started feeling absolutely great & relaxed a day after. I could say I had no neck & shoulder pain for about 3 weeks. Since then I have been going there every 3 weeks for adjustment and I am loving it more every time. Thank you Dr. Martin!! read more

I was never a regular at the chiropractors office but when I needed one and found Dr. martin I became a big fan and have gone back many times, not always for a specific issue, just for general well-being. Dr. Martin's knowledge and ability to explain why adjustments are so good for the body made total sense. I've been back many times, the practice really puts in the effort to schedule an appointment we Hen needed - I would highly recommend Dr. Martin! read more

I have been going to Dr. Martin since I was 15 years old. When I was younger, my ribbed popped out and Dr. Martin was able to reset me and I felt like new again. Every once in a while, I tweak my rib again, and he is always able to make me feel 100% within just a week. Now that I'm older, I found out I have spinal issues (genetic unfortunately) and Dr. Martin helps me with the pain. I went to another chiropractor for a little while because she was closer to my home, and while she was good, she never could make me feel as relieved as Dr. Martin. So I came back!! Seriously, Dr. Martin is amazing. I trust him 100% with my back! read more

I was highly skeptical of chiropractors, but Dr. Martin changed my mind entirely after I was in a car collision a few years ago. PT and icing was not addressing my chronic pain, but Dr. Martin had me walking upright within no time. Since that initial collision, Dr. Martin has also helped me with aches and pains during pregnancy and even a post pregnancy tailbone injury. In addition to his chiropractic services, he has addressed my pain with laser therapy and massages (shout out to Santa!). Dr. Gary Martin cracked my rib on chest, even though he did use laser tool to help me to recover. The lady responsible billing is greedy. My family has been going to DR Gary for the past 6 months, and he's been an amazing chiropractor for us. My son has had allergies growing up and after finding out Zyrtec and other allergy meds can stunt growth, we reached out to our friend who practices holistic healings. She then referred us over to DR Gary. I was apprehensive at first, but after taking him weekly for 2 months, his allergies has definitely subdued. Our whole family goes there now and we couldn't be happier... We highly recommend this place for a holistic approach and overall wellness. read more

I just moved here about a month ago, and was looking for a chiro. I had really bad lower back pain, and have had it for a while. My previous chiro wasn't getting the job done, and I was moving. The minute I stepped in the office, I felt relaxed. Dr. Martin explained the chiropractic process to me, and always asked me if I had any questions with the process. Out of four chiros I've been to, he's the first that has told me why he decided to enter the practice. He took X-rays, and he adjusted me in the places that needed adjusting, right after he analyzed them. I've been going there for about three weeks now, and my back is feeling pretty good. The pain that I once had is now gone, now it's just the soreness that I feel from being able to workout again. Hah. I will continue to see Dr. Martin. Cool guy, always making me/you feel important, and really, he does an excellent job attending to where the pain is. And a shoutout to his staff! They're all really friendly and cool! I recommend Dr. to anybody! read more

I first came to Dr. Martin a year ago -- I was experiencing severe, blinding pain in my lower back for months. It got so bad that the pain left me paralyzed and unable to move a few times in my home, something that was so scary for someone my age. After a trip to urgent care that did nothing, I went and saw Dr. Martin. He had same-day availability, got x-rays done in no time, and did a visual examination of my alignment. It was no wonder I was experiencing such intense pain, my spine had multiple areas that were completely out of normal alignment. I've been seeing Dr. Martin every week for the last year, and the difference is incredible. I have no pain. I can go to work, do chores around the house, and exercise without any back pain. I'd recommend Dr. Martin to anyone who needs an experienced chiropractor to get their life back on track. I'm so thankful to Dr. Martin and his team for being there for me to give me my quality of life back. Thank you, Dr. Martin! read more

I tried Dr. Martin based on Yelp reviews, which were on the money! I'd had an open abdominal surgery that had put me on the couch for almost 2 months and my back was killing me- on my first visit I couldn't even sit down without falling down. Seriously, a LOT of pain. My first adjustment really took the edge off the pain and after 3 visits the pain wasn't nearly as debilitating. I've also started getting massage therapy in Dr. Martin's office from Stephanie, which has really helped before the adjustment. I also like that there's a room off reception where you can ice your back after the adjustment. Dr. Martin runs on time, in my experience, and is very engaging. Staff is very friendly and capable. Highly recommend! read more

Dr. Gary Martin is an excellent, caring and communicative chiropractor. He first did x-rays and took my medical background and quickly diagnosed my problem areas. I appreciate his outstanding expertise and many years of experience. He explained exercises I can do at home to decrease my neck and lower back pain. He does quick, painless but great adjustments which are covered by Medicare. My symptoms have greatly improved over the last few months I have been seeing him. I have recently also enjoyed laser treatments on my lower back which have helped decrease my inflammation. His office staff is very friendly and efficient, they help make convenient appointments for my schedule. I go to his Stonecreek Plaza office in Irvine but he also has an office in Newport Beach. read more

Doc Martin is THE BEST! I have know Dr. Martin and have been treated with his excellent chiropractic care since 1998! I originally sought out chiropractic care because I had been in a little fender-bender and my neck and back were feeling the affects of the trauma. Within a few months of consistent care from Dr. Martin, I was back up and feeling superb. In fact, I felt SO great that I have continued to see Doc M throughout all these years! I am a chiropractic junkie! I tell everyone that asks, that there is no other way to express how much better I feel after an adjustment than for them to experience it themselves and after a few visits, they know what I am talking about. My children have been seen by Dr. Martin to keep them in alignment during their sports seasons. There's nothing like football, lacrosse and competitive horseback riding that can kick your back and neck out of whack on a regular basis. Dr. Martin is there to help! My husband is now a chiropractic lover as well! He has suffered most of his adult life with lower back pain and I have to say that basically, Dr. Martin is a miracle worker!! Dr. Gary Martin's office staff is very helpful. There is RARELY a problem making an appointment, they will always fit you in. The massage therapist team is WONDERFUL. I love a good massage and have never been able to find a place that knows the body as well as the massage therapists at Dr. Martin's office - truly an experience! It is time to update my review. Dr. Martin has treated me after two serious car accidents in the last 10 years. This is a doctor you will look forward to seeing. He is kind, caring, gentle and is a great chiropractor. Today, I went in with my neck, lower back and sciatica killing me. Yes, I waited too long. I walked out like a new person. He reminded me of the importance of being seen regularly, rather than come in when you are hurting. We let our busy lifestyles get in the way of taking care of our bodies. We take care of our cars, our homes and our appearance..but put chiropractic care way down on the list. I highly recommend giving Dr. Gary Martin a try..he can change your health! Cherie read more

I came to see Dr. Martin because of my back and neck hurting. The pain had kept me from sleeping a full nights rest as well as being in chronic pain that had been inescapable. Since seeing Dr. Martin I have had the level of my pain reduced. The neck pain is gone and the back pain has dropped dramatically. I am currently receiving massages once a week as well as being adjusted weekly. This has given me back a surprising amount of mobility to and to state the obvious, a large reduction in pain. I am able to get appointments that are convenient for ME and even if a time is taken, they almost always have a time that works for me. The staff is extremely nice and helpful to and their office is Extremely clean and orderly. As for Dr. Martin's knowledge about spinal health, I personally have 2 slipped disks. Before he worked on me he took xrays to see what he was working with and adjusted his methods for me and how to adjust me. He is no stranger to pre-existing conditions and goes out of his way to work with you. My masseuse is named Sharon (Not sure on the spelling, sorry) She is extremely knowledgeable about what she does and customizes every clients visit to address their personal issue. Mine is my back and she does the back, true... But she also does the hips, legs, neck and I forgot the rest but it's all to address the issue in my back. And it isn't just "do is once and expect the same thing forever" (unless that's what you need) she asks each visit what is wrong so she can customize your massage. All in all, this is one hell of a good office and everyone there knows what they're doing. Thank you Dr. Martin and everyone at your practice for helping me so much over the years. read more

My wife and son both recommended Dr. Martin to me. I was experiencing excruciating lower back pain and was able to secure an appointment shortly after calling the office. Dr. Martin spent a couple of minutes gathering information from me; the location of pain, the amount of pain and the mobility loss I had because of the pain. He both described and showed me a model of his diagnosis. Soon after, he adjusted my neck, back and hips. After just 2 weeks of adjustments, my condition had noticeable improvements, to the point where I was able to jog and walk with my dogs again. Along with the adjustments, I was given stretching exercises and had an amazing massage by Dr. Martins staff massage therapist. The 3 things have been a winning combination for me (I'M BACK). The receptionist is always upbeat and friendly, getting appointments is easy, getting seen and adjusted is timely, and the massages are amazing. I highly recommend Dr. Martin and his staff for your chiropractic healthcare. Thank you Dr. Martin and staff for all that you have done for my family. read more

I met Dr. Martin many years ago, when I was desperate for some pain relief after my car accident. I saw him regularly and shortly after felt many improvements with the treatment plan he came up for me. Years later I'm a firm believer in Chiropractic. I'm pain free, my back is strong again. All thanks to Dr. Martin. I'm still a loyal client many years later. I now unfortunately live over an hr away, but I still gladly make that drive to see him. He keeps my migraines in check, helps my back feel lose and strong and less tense, so all worth the drive, Most of all I appreciate how nice of a person he is. You are not just a client, he genuinely cares for his patients, and goes above and beyond to make sure they get the best treatment possible. I had a chronic left chest sharp pain continuously for the last 4 years and it was affecting my quality of life dramatically, I couldn't workout, play, drive, sleep or even take a deep breath without pain in my chest, I couldn't hold my little daughter or carry my groceries without the pain, I checked so many doctors over the past years including heart specialist and none of them where able to identify the problem, I tried so many medications and anti inflammatory to reduce the pain but nothing was able to cure that sharp pain in my chest till I visited Dr Martin and after diagnosis he was so knowledgeable to identify the true cause of my chest pain, I was having rib and spinal misalignment "rib subluxation" that's causing a pressure on the nerve underneath the rib (due to misalignment of the rip with the spine) and causing the sharp pain in my chest. Dr Martin started right away the alignment of rib an spine and after a few sessions I felt the pain is gone and for the first time in years I'm able to breathe, sit and sleep without the sharp unbearable pain in my chest. I would like to thank Dr. Martin for all the efforts he have done to take care of my health and I would like to thank his office team and specially his receptionist who are very friendly and easy to work with. read more

I have had regular debilitating back pain for more than 40 years. I went to Dr. Martin for treatment of an emergency episode of extreme back pain. After about 10 days of his treatment I had no pain and was completely comfortable doing any normal activity. Since then I go for regular adjustments. My episodes severe of back severe back pain have decreased from about once every month or six weeks to not even once a year. Recently I slipped on a tennis court and severely injured my knee. Dr. Martin recommended laser treatment and physio therapy. After each treatment I was significantly and noticeably better. Now I am back playing tennis. I am back playing far sooner than I ever would have been without his care and the severity and duration of my pain was much reduced. Dr. Martin has a jolly pleasant manner and has an obvious interest in making his patients better. I am very pleased with every aspect of his care and I have recommended him to several of my friends. I am a fervent believer in science and when it comes to issues with your personal health, you go see your regular Dr. (so I thought). So one morning I woke up with an excruciating lower back pain and I could not get out of bed. Soon I realized I could not go to work and decided to visit the local urgent care. While there, X-ray done, "everything looks normal, do some stretches to untangle your lower back muscles, this will help to alleviate your pain" the Dr. said. I left the urgent care after receiving an injection for my back pain and shortly after I started feeling like the million dollar man again. My pain was gone... while the effect of injection lasted. Within a few hours, my pain had returned and worse. Next morning I did a quick search for a local Chiropractor and Google gave me a few around the area I live in. For whatever reason, I picked Dr. Martin's office phone number and called in. The receptionist who answered the phone was so understandable of the pain I was in, that she immediately set an appointment for me. I have never had chiropractic work done before so I was not really sure what to expect when I first went in to see Dr. Martin. I was suffering from a chronic lower back pain to the point where sitting was painful and going to work felt impossible. Thru adjustments and massages, my condition has improved. I am not 100% yet, but I have regained most of the activities I was doing before. Furthermore, the fact I stopped taking pain killers within days of seeing Dr. Martin was a big plus for me. Outstanding and friendly personal, and the girls at the front desk are always willing to accommodate your appointments when you require them. I would definitely recommend them for any chiropractic need. read more

Dr. Gary Martin is amazing! I've been experiencing lower back pain for many years. Although, recently the pain has been unsustainable. After much research, I decided to call Dr. Martin because of the great reviews I've read. Best part was, he let me visit his office the same day!!!! I have never been treated by a chiropractor before so let me tell you I WAS SOOOOOOOOOO NERVOUS!!! During our consultation, he was so calm and knowledgeable, reassuring me of his practice. He offered me and my boyfriend some nice cold water to relax me. It was finally time to be adjusted!!! I told him how nervous I was.. again it made me very comfortable seeing as he took his time explaining the anatomy to me before adjusting anything which made me feel a little more at ease. The adjustment was great! Not at all as scary as I thought! My back pain was MUCH more tolerable! My back didn't get "stuck" again! If I would not have gone to this appointment, I would not have been able to keep up all the chores in my home I had another appointment scheduled the following week but due to a medical emergency, I had to cancel absolutely LAST minute I felt horrible for calling such last minute BUT all was okay and they simply rescheduled my appointment which was a huge relief! Even the secretaries are amazing! I met a woman named Paige and she was just awesome when greeting me today! The waiting area and rooms are all very clean too! All in all, Dr. Gary Martin has truly changed my view of chiropractic for the better. He doesn't rush you to get to the next client and is truly passionate about his field of work! He's very down to earth and I truly don't think I'd ever go see a different chiropractor! THANK YOU DR. GARY MARTIN read more

I came back another time that week after work and once more the week after and the pain was gone! Dr. Martin is very warm and professional and makes you feel totally comfortable during treatment. I told him that the treatment felt so good that I would give him 1 hour to stop it.
