This review is long overdue. When I was in town visiting my sister, I wanted to find someone who was trustworthy and also gave great quality patient care when it came to all things acupuncture. I've had treatment done in the past and it was through Kaiser NoCal so when I came here to my surprise my plan also helped cover some sessions here. However, if you do not health insurance does cover these kinds of specialty services, Dr. Won can let you know of the per session cost. I don't think it was anything outrageous though. He was also able to check if I was eligible to be covered pretty quick (in a few minutes or less at the beginning of our first session - and I was eternally grateful). He not only provided traditional acupuncture and cupping (not fire cupping FYI, it was suction based) for me that I was used to, but also added in some new therapies like electrostimulation, ultrasound, and red light therapy. Also added bonus since I came in with a tight back and shoulders that really added to my wrist and finger pains he also taught me some exercises to help loosen up the tension! Also, if you are a little nervous about needles like I have been I thought he was pretty gentle when placing them on the necessary points for your treatment plan! I am super grateful and when I'm back in town I plan to schedule another appointment with him - which is quick and easy to do! I have been going to Dr Won Park since summer of 2023. I walked in (barely)... I wasn't walking nor standing straight, electricity up and down my legs and toes constantly. Every morning I woke up, I was in pain and couldn't function. This has been happening since COVID working from home and didn't have a proper ergonomic office chair. After 3 sessions, I was able to straighten up, walk with no pain or electricity, and didn't dread waking up in the morning in pain! Amazing! After 3 years of this pain, Dr. Park fixed me! An overall wonderful acupuncture experience. Dr. Won is very kind and makes sure you are comfortable, I appreciate the cold pack on the neck and the pillow below the knees. When inserting and removing the needles he is very gentle, which I appreciate. I've had 4 acupuncturists and he is the most gentle. Dr. Won is one of the best acupuncturist I have been to. I have been going once a week, to try and help with my recurring menstrual pain. I experience very debilitating periods almost once a month. I started acupuncture to help my body recover from sleeping incorrectly (I'm a side sleeper that shrugs my shoulders throughout the night which causes tightness in my neck and shoulders) and to recover from physical activity faster and more effectively (I overuse my hips and they get sore from strength training). I got sciatic nerve pain about 2 months ago. I got to go to urgent care for an examination because I could not lay down or sit down. They referred me to an orthopaedic doctor for surgery. Highly recommended. My wife came to Dr Won shortly after our first born child because she started having sciatica issues. Only one visit of acupuncture and my wife felt immediate relief. While my wife was pregnant with our 2nd child, she started to feel her sciatica come back and Dr Won was able to do a much more minor session of acupuncture but just after a couple visits, my wife felt some relief. I was in a severe car accident and began feeling extreme pressure headaches I had never felt before. The doctors found the trigger point in my neck but after 3 MONTHS of physical therapy at Kaiser and little to no improvement, I thought of Dr Won. I immediately got an appointment and with a few mobility tests with my neck, Dr Won went straight to work. After only 2 weeks (4 acupuncture, cupping, and electric stimulation sessions), my headaches went away. Mind you, these were headaches that would last anywhere from 24-48 hours straight!
