Auto body shop wanted north of $600 to repair. I had heard of Paintless Dent Removal but never tried it. So I called the Dent Eraser and Jason Hill, the owner, told me to meet him at 8 AM the next day. I drove in, he told me he could get it 97% out and quoted me a price. In 45 minutes he had done his magic on the fender and sanded and polished the scrapes out. The only tell tale is where the clear coat got chipped by the bus. Jason did a fantastic job, is very friendly and obviously highly skilled. He will tell you what the limits of his methods are. Try his service.

Several years ago, I took my Chrysler Town and Country to Fletcher Automotive for its annual NC…read moreinspection and was told it failed inspection due to a leaking rack and pinion, plus a claim that I had a warped and leaking oil pan. When I asked why the oil and power steering fluids were not low and there were no signs of leakage on my garage floor, I was told it doesn't always show up like that and was advised the repairs required to pass inspection would cost more than a thousand dollars for a new rack and pinion and over $300 for a new oil pan. I asked to talk to the technician and see the leaks, and after claiming it would violate their insurance laws to do so they reluctantly lifted the van, where I saw nothing dripping with only a light oil film on the oil pan and nothing that clearly indicated the rack was leaking. I declined the repairs and took it to F&R Automotive, for a second opinion where its owner Fred Vacok (who recently passed away) reported that he found no rack and pinion leak and merely snugged the bolts on the oil pan to fix its minor leak at no charge. I then took the van to another inspection station, where it passed inspection and confirmed both the rack and oil pan were not leaking and later ran that van for an additional 20,000+ more miles before giving it to my granddaughter. It served her well in her last year of High School and into her college years. I've never gone back to Fletcher Automotive and would caution others to be wary.
