Customer Service is zero at best I have a 2023 Bronco Wildtrak I have had a continuous driver side seat issue. It keeps tearing out at the seems and they did replace it and now it has done it again. Today 2025/09/08 they did a patch job without my consent and looks even worse than before, they do not want to do the right thing and fix it properly. My 2013 Escape was acting up so I called to ask about their shop's availability. I asked if they could look at it that day and the guy on the other end got annoyed because he thought I demanded that the repairs be completed that day (I wasn't). He said he would have had availability if I brought it in first-thing that day, but if I brought it in today, they could get to it tomorrow. Good enough, I brought it in. The guy at the counter was annoyed that I didn't have an appointment scheduled, said they were swamped with other jobs, and couldn't get to my car for 4-5 days. I told him the guy on the phone said otherwise, but it did nothing to change the situation. It's as if all the employees there are trying to pick a fight with you. I took the car to Fred Beans on Rt 3 instead. They had people there who were actually pleasant and cooperative. read more

I don't think i could say enough good things about this place!! my salesmen, Chris made me feel extremely comfortable. it was my first time buying a car, and when i came in for a test drive i didn't have my dad with me (the past few months of looking at cars he always came with me because he knows a lot more about buying cars than i do) but chris made me feel like i didn't need him, very patient with me, and all the silly questions i had. when they ran my credit Chris came back with a rate that was better than any other dealer i had been to, and then came back with an even better rate! the warranty they gave me is also amazing for a used car (certified) which was another one of my big concerns, which Chris kept in mind the whole time. My 2002 T Bird was towed in from my storage garage clean as a whistle when I picked it up it was dirty, disgusting, and the convertible top was not even closed properly and it should have never been opened. I asked for repair's to the power steering pump and hoses as well as checking for a misfire in the engine. The cost of repair was well over industry standard's and the misfire was never resolved and to add insult to injury I smelled the burning of power steering fluid all the way home. Absolutely awful. I took my car here for wheel bearings and some electrical work. Over $2000 later I'm out the door....the paperwork they gave me states I received a "free alignment". When my car went in it was on 4 brand new tires. Today my two front tires are on cords. How in 5 months do brand new tires turn to cords?? Now I have to buy 2 new tires because of this place. Even though their electric vehicle charger is listed as free and open 24/7 on PlugShare and there are no signs posted saying otherwise, one of their service people rudely kicked me off early one morning before they were even open. This weekend I noticed the power to the charger was turned off. Compare this to Otto's BMW where one of the salespeople noticed I was looking to charge and moved his vehicle out of the way and when I couldn't find my card he used his own. They even offered me coffee. They've since updated from being free to charging a small, reasonable fee, but they were clear and upfront about it. read more

As my wife says "Clean, helpful, and pushy salespeople just like you would expect." We bought a brand new car from Garnet and they were able to give us a great deal on it. The only issue is that you will need to do your research before going in order to make sure that you are getting that deal because they are not very forthcoming with lowering the price. I was given a price for a new vehicle with numbers that were purposefully difficult to follow, they were handwritten and tough to read. Upon doing the math, my salesman Nick was charging me an extra $500 and reasoned that "the sales manager must have just made a mistake." They were clearly trying to pull a fast one here and I was fortunate enough to call them out on it. Speaking of the sales manager, once I told my salesman I wasn't willing to pay his price that had proper math he came over to tell me that the car and trim level I was looking at were not affordable for me. I went here on a recommendation from a friend. I have never been more pleased in a new car purchase situation than I was here. I dealt directly with the manager who even shared with me the capital cost of the automobile I was interested in, and I ended up buying it knowing I was getting a good deal. There were no pushy sales people - no "vultures", I never felt pressured. About a day or two later after my new car purchase, I had noticed something strange on the windshield of my new car. It was an anomaly that looked like ice crystals. I took it back to them and Garnet replaced my windshield free of charge, no questions asked. They even lent me a loaner car to get to work that day while my car was in the shop. I've been to this dealer a few times, to mount and balance tires, to fix a vacuum leak on my a/c system, and for a warranty claim on truck batteries. I'm not sure if it's incompetence, lack of attention to detail, or the red tape from management but they haven't provided any service whatsoever. They wouldn't warranty the batteries, and they couldn't mount and balance the tires. I recommend going elsewhere. The customer service is lacking as well. read more

I bought a 2008 Ford F150 FX4 CPO a month ago and the sales service was fantastic at Garnet Ford. It was a Certified Preowned, which is "supposed" to undergo a 169 point inspection. I drove 2 hours each way to pick it up since it was the only black CPO FX4 within 200 miles. I drove it all through the holiday season. However, about 2 weeks after I bought it a noticeable squeak started coming from the front of the truck. Finally, the holiday season was over and I made an appointment with a Ford dealership closer to home in Hanover, PA thinking it would be under their 3 month/3,000 mile warranty. Keep in mind I put 1,500 miles on it so it's well under warranty. They inspected the noise and it wound up being a scored rotor and heavy rust lip. Both front rotors and pads had to be replaced and it was NOT under warranty. During the CPO inspection the rotors "should have been" checked for scoring, etc. per the Ford documentation. The techs at the Ford in Hanover said this rotor should have never passed the CPO inspection. Well, I paid the $491.87 and thought Garnet Ford would step up and reimburse me for their shoddy inspection...and well......no they would not. Garnet told me I was SOL because I didn't drive to their dealership 2 hours each way for them to inspect the brakes themselves at which point they MAY or MAY NOT do something about them. Keep in mind I have the rotors and pads that were removed, but "Chris" said they had to be on the vehicle in order for him to do something. Either calling me or the Ford dealership in Hanover liars. So "Chris" wanted me to drive all that way like I don't have a job or anything else to do when there is a dealership right up the street from me. Moral of the story is DO NOT buy a Certified Preowned vehicle from Garnet Ford in Chadds Ford, PA. I was singing the praises of this dealership to everyone I knew for a month and now I can only think about how I needed a front brake job a month after purchasing a CPO. If you want no peace of mind and lots of aggravation then go ahead and let Garnet Ford take care of that for you. They are more than willing. read more

Went for gas tank recall on 2010 Edge( purchased there) and an transaxle leak at inner seal. Had private shop perform service and they advised the dealer should do axle seal. Dropped of car night before and Brian called me just after noon with estimate. $600.00 for seal. WOW! My regular guys already looked up the labor for me and it is a 2.2 hr job. Brian told me it was a big job, very labor intensive. Three return phone calls from him later, blaming the error on other people(technician) he agreed to do the job for $200. Yeah thats all good right, BUT, what if he wasn't questioned. $600 it is. All I'm saying is do your homework these guys are slick. read more

The service is excellent. The people are friendly and they always do what they say they will do. I like that they will call me before doing any work and never try to talk me into work that is unnecessary. They take safety seriously and make sure that there are no recalls that need to be addressed and if there are, they discuss those with me at each service visit. Overall buying process was relatively easy and not pressured at all. Very satisfied with my salesman and the dealership in general - UNTIL I took my truck in for a check engine light visit (at my local dealer). My local dealer told my that my check engine light was on due to improper programming of the engine's computer. As it turns out, my truck had been in for warranty work (at another Philly area dealer) and had its engine replaced with a REMANUFACTURED engine two months before I bought it. After digging around a little I found that my truck had over $9,000 worth of work done in May 2013 (I bought it in July). This did not show up on the carfax report, nor did anyone at Garnet mention it during the sale. I have sent three emails to different people at Garnet, including my salesman (Tony) and the manager and have gotten no response whatsoever. With the process vehicles go through to be Ford Certified, I would have a lot of trouble believing that no one at Garnet knew about this. I live 125 miles from this dealer, but I wouldn't buy another car from them if they were right across the street from me. They are very quick to respond to you when they want you to buy a vehicle, but when something isn't right, like this, they do not respond at all. I have been going to Garnet Ford for 15+ years and have never had any problem with the service department. They assist me immediately when it comes to scheduling service on my vehicle and explain everything that was done in the vehicle and it's costs. My vehicle was in on 8/25/16 and I dropped it off with the intentions of using their shuttle service as I had to go to work. This is where I encountered a problem. I told Rich that I was done work at 1:30 and would need to be picked up. At 2:00 I called service and asked if they knew where Rich was as he didn't show at 1:30. Rich was out in the phone and it was like he didn't even know who I was. He picked me up around 2:30 and while driving back to the shop he received another call. I showed him where he could pull off to answer the phone. He than informed me it was to pick up another customer and that wasn't a problem as it was on the way back. When we picked up the other customer he repeatedly apologized to her for being late. I made the comment that he was an hour late picking me up to which he said nothing. I don't know whether this customer was someone special or not but even as we were getting dropped off he apologized again. He needs to keep track of his rides better than just taking their name and telephone number. He needs to list where he dropped them off and the time he was supposed to pick them up. In January 2017 I purchased a 2015 Mustang Ecoboost Premium from Garnet ford. The car was advertised on cargurus.com. The car was listed as "CPO" After extensive negotiations via emails and telephone a final price was agreed on with Christopher M. who introduced himself as 'Sales Manager" I also agreed to travel from my home in Maryland to dealership located near Philadelphia, PA to test drive and finalize the sale. I arrived at scheduled time of 3pm on January 31. The car was parked on a side lot and appeared very dirty on the outside (Not good! A good dealership would've had the car washed and SHOWROOM READY!) Because of my long travel, I decided to proceed with test drive and make the purchase. The car was ready for pick-up after 6pm, which was after dark. It was parked in a dimly lighted space in front of dealership. My wife, my son and I drove the car straight to our home in Maryland and parked car in garage. Next day I inspected it thoroughly and discovered that the left side had body damage. I contacted Garnet Ford thru emails and certified mail, they totally denied that the car was damaged and REFUSED TO ACCEPT responsibility for selling me a Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) with body damage when it left dealership. I will never do business with THIS dealership again. Not ALL car dealership are dishonest...But there are a FEW! BEWARE... read more

The buy-back process for a lease was not fully explained, as Ford did not buy it at all. I thought it was off my hands. I felt pressure to drive the new vehicle off the lot, because I thought I no longer owned it. The sales person did not mention that he would be returning it to Toyota. The next I hear from Toyota is that they are charging me $250 to repair a dent! What dent? And because I was smoothed into taking the Ford, and leaving the Toyota behind, I omitted to include a third key, which cost me another $250. And I had to return to the dealership next day because paperwork had been wrongly filed out. I drove to the dealership to correct this. When I went to register it, part of the Power of Attorney had been whited out, so was not acceptable. Again I was expected to drive to the dealership to correct this, but he agreed to UPS it to me. When I went to register it again, according to the figures from you, I would have paid $175. But the clerk noticed errors and it came to $119! There is also a rattle in the car, but that is nor sustained, so I can't take it in and reliably know it will be there. I thought long and hard about getting an American car, as I usually go with Honda or Toyota, but now I regret it. read more
