Perfectly crispy! Not too much breading and the chicken was super juicy. Will be back!

This is based on a delivery order on chicken strips w/ rice box and some chicken wings. It was delivered quick. i'm not so sure why this place has such a great rating. it's very average. I have had amazing Korean Fried chicken from other places. This place doesn't come close to anything i have had in the past. it was not crispy enough and it was very salty.

Korean fried chicken is one of my favorite food, so I was super happy to find this spot right here in Ridgewood. We ordered sweet chili and soy wings. Both were flavorful! My favorite was the soy wings! They are currently open for delivery and takeout.

This usually comes separately but I like to mix it all up with the rice

Delicious Korean food You get to choose from small portions to large, sometimes the dude is nice enough to throw in some kimchi or put your order in a bento box. He already knows my usual order: 6 piece chicken sweet spicy/cheese with spicy dumplings and white rice

The fries are amazing. Service was quick as well. Came with sauces that were the perfect size. Highly recommend

Cozy and a nice Korean fried chicken place if you're around the area ! There isn't much KFC places around in the Ridgewood/Glendale area. You have to drive out to Flushing for some good Korean fried chicken spots. But if you're around this area, garlic to the chicken is def a spot you don't want to miss. They give a good amount of everything for a good price. They don't skimp out on the sauces, utensils, and ketchup. Food was ready for pick up just like the 20 minutes he said it would take. Parking is easy around the area and there is also a few bus stops nearby! Flavor wise is pretty solid, they packed it well and to be honest, I'm pretty sure I had more than 6 piece wings in my 6 piece wings order !

Ordered takeout from this spot the other day. I got the bulgogi beef box. The meat was really good. Everything else was just okay. I ordered the soy and cheesling wings. I only received soy. They must have run out of the other. I ordered 6 wings and got like 7 or 8 so perhaps that was done to make up for it. The wings were crispy and saucy. I also got fries, which were okay. Takeout fries are always hit or miss. Overall, the food was good and I'd order from there again.

Tried garlic to the chicken today for the first time. Drove 20 min to do take out. The staff ( not sure if it was owner) went above and beyond to make sure the order is right and offered two free Korean drinks. The drinks were very good. Their garlic taste is on point! And good size drums. Yummm Wish their wings are bigger , i would definitely pay extra for bigger size. Biting into a mouth of meat is definitely satisfying .

Are the wings crunchy? Some stores make them soft tho. Me against that.

It usually has a satisfying crunch but I wouldn't describe it as crunchy like a southern fried chicken due to the sauces. Also, choice of sauce will affect the crunchiness - soy garlic, spicy and cheesling should give you a crunch. The one other… Read more

    Is this place good lol?

Yes it is. Now I have had only the sweet chili wings n the season fries but they were delicious. Ordered them several times. A friend had the teriyaki n said it was great. So I say give it a go at least try it. Hope u enjoy it as much as I did.

Is there a menu online as I don't see them on grub hub or eat24 so I don't know the extent of the menu?

They just opened so no they dont have an online menu. Grubhub and eat24 are food delievery services I believe, which they dont do. Theres pictures of the menu if you check but no online menu. Hope that answers ur question

What a neighborhood GEM!! Kuku Korean was fantastic! Fresh, tasty food at reasonable prices!…read more We (6 of us) were in the neighborhood for a Valentine's Day celebration and searched Yelp for a good ethnic restaurant in the area. We came across Kuku Korean and said YESSS, this is the place to go! The only wrench in our plans was that Kuku Korean doesn't take reservations; not even on Valentine's Day! They warned us that they expected to be very busy that evening, and to expect a wait. Ok, we made plans to go, but also made a Resy with another restaurant close by, as a backup plan in case there was a long wait for a table. But really, Kuku Korean was our preferred first choice. After our V Day event, we rushed over to Kuku Korean to see what the wait time was for a table for 6. It was just after 6pm, and the stars were aligned for us, because we got the last large table available! Woo Hoooo! Happy Valentine's Day to us!! We quickly cancelled our Resy with the other restaurant (sorry!) and perused Kuku Korean's fabulous menu. Our MENU (shared by 6ppl): ~ Seafood Pajeon ($24/large): Crispy battered pancake made with green onions & seafood (mussels, clams, squid, and shrimp). This was phenomenal! So much seafood and such a comforting dish...get this! ~ Veg Japche ($21): Stir-fried Korean vermicelli with Kuku soy-garlic Japchae sauce and assorted veggies. This dish was also available with various proteins but we opted for Veg since we were ordering other meat dishes. This dish was so flavorful and delicious. ~ Kuku Bibimbap ($24): Seasoned vegetables over rice, topped with a fried egg. Served with Kuku spicy bibim sauce. Again, you have the option of adding protein to this dish but we kept it veg. Another great dish! ~ Pork Galbi ($28): Char-grilled Pork ribs marinated in Kuku sauce, served with sauteed onions. Served with kimachi, daily banchan & purple rice. The pork was cut in thick slices, which was surprising, but wow, this was phenomenal! So tasty and lean, and just delicious. ~ Beef Bulgogi ($33): Sauteed thinly sliced beef rib-eye marinated in Kuku sauce with mushroom, Served with kimachi, daily banchan & purple rice. Another phenomenal dish. Bursting with flavor. -- Spicy Squid ($28): Stir-fried squid in spicy Kuku gochujang sauce, onions, hot pepper and carrot. Served with kimachi, daily banchan & purple rice. This squid was prepared perfectly; not over cooked nor rubbery! Great dish. - Ban Chan: generous unlimited servings; fresh & delicious. These 6 dishes, plus Ban Chan was perfect for 6 ppl to share. We finished everything and were fully satisfied. Every single dish was delicious and we ALL said we wanted to return to Kuku Korean to repeat some dishes and try new dishes. Customer service and atmosphere were great. The busser staff did an amazing job and were even more attentive than our server (who we only saw twice)...kudos to the bussers! They were so hard working, with a smiling, friendly attitude! Give them a raise! Looking forward to a return visit to Kuku Korean...hopefully SOON!!

The army stew was not only flavorful but also had a bunch of toppings inside. The servers were super attentive and even asked us if we wanted our hot pot to be reheated once it sat for a while as we chatted. That being said, I do want to point out that I believe this place is more suited for a bigger group of people. My friend and I enjoyed everything about the meal however, the hot pot was huge and we finished only like 1/4 of it and ordering the meats was a little weird. I am use to going to KBBQ where they tell me that the minimum meat orders is 2 but here, you must at least have two orders of any meat you choose. We both wanted the marinated short ribs with pork belly but ended up with two orders of the marinated short ribs because we were more in the mood for something marinated. We ended up ordering the Kimchi Pancake with seafood, the spicy bulkoki udon and the jeyuk udon. The kimchi seafood pancake was super crispy and filled with squid and shrimp! It also came with a semi sweet dipping sauce that paired nicely. Both udons came out piping hot and fresh! Udon had a nice chew to it, was loaded with vegetables as well as meat for each dish. The egg was fried and did not have a runny yolk. For sides, they gave us 4 things- a tomato salad, kimchi cucumbers, braised string beans, and bean sprouts. The tomato salad came in this cute apple shaped dish but neither of us really cared for it- this is completely biased though since we're not really fans of tomato. What we really did love was the kimchi cucumbers! Also at the end, they served us 3 pieces of cantaloupe which were very sweet. Overall, yummy food, cute shop, and friendly/nice staff! It is an all you can eat setup for a flat fee of around $30, with roughly 90 minutes to work through as much as you want. I will be honest -- I have mixed feelings about the time limit format. At that point it is not really all you can eat, it is all you can eat within a window. The other consideration is that the meats cook at their own pace in the BBQ pit, which naturally slows things down regardless of how hungry you are. That said, my wife and I were both satisfied by the end of the meal. We ate our fill and left happy, which is ultimately the goal. The food was genuinely good -- good enough that I actually enjoyed this meal more than some of the higher end Korean BBQ spots I have visited. That says something. I will be back.
