It's a big Freddy's, with plenty of pretty much everything. Forgot sunscreen? They've got it. Want to stock your coastal Airbnb with frozen pizza, snacks, and beer? Yep, they've got that too. And you'll be very glad you stopped here when you see what some of those things cost closer to the beach. The gas station lines can get long, but they tend to move quickly, and the prices are usually great. Plus: BATHROOMS! Woo hoo! Extremely important when you've got a kiddo in the car and you're nearing the end of a long drive. Basically, this is our gas + groceries + bathroom + "what did we forget?" stop before heading the rest of the way to the coast.

We stopped by here twice to pick up the fixing for root beer floats and of course browsed around. The prices are reasonable and it's big enough that the ambience is pleasant - you've got space to move around even if it's crowded. They play country music over the speakers. The new owners of Joe's have truly revitalized the place! Incredibly welcoming with comfortable…read morechairs to lounge in. Joe's has a wide selection of drinks for here or to go. My husband and I like to play cards while drinking inexpensive beers during happy hour. Then my husband asks me for $20 to go play video lottery in the back while I watch football on the TV. In the mornings while walking my dog, I stop in for a fresh coffee. Even though Joe's looks like a small convenient store, it's a great community space where we enjoy hanging out when in town.

This individual was loudly cursing and violently punching the air while I and another customer attempted to shop peacefully. This continued for several minutes, while I apprehensively approached the counter. The female working with this individual rang me up. I told her that I was offended by the other individual's behavior, and she just shrugged. I paid for my gas, and asked for the corporate phone number. she gave me the store phone number. I reached corporate anyway. Hopefully nobody else will encounter this individual, and be scared to simply buy gas, like I was.
