There were some things that needed to be fixed but it looked like they were in progress and after meeting one of the maintenance guys i'm sure he's on it. The only reason we're giving this a 4-star and not a 5 is because of a noise issue. Pretty much everything was fine but right after we checked in and got setup, construction workers pulled into the next space with their trailer and a couple work trucks. One was a typical work truck and the other was a larger truck with what looked like a crane/bucket on top. The guys themselves were not a problem but they'd leave very early in the morning and it was annoying to get woken up to the sound of diesel trucks firing up at 6am and idling for 15-20 minutes 20 feet from my bed. I guess contractors/construction workers staying there is a pretty regular thing. There is "overflow" parking over near the office and I think it would be nice if Hope Hill required work trucks to park over there out of courtesy for the other guests. I work hard and get up early every day. The last thing i want to do on my vacation is get woken up even earlier by loud trucks. Overall it was a good experience. If we ever find ourselves in that neck of the woods I'd stay here again. Maybe they'll have designated contractor/work truck parking by then

We streamed Netflix on our Roku, did a zoom call on my laptop, scrolled through Instagram on my best. Seriously, it never skipped a beat. The grounds are so peaceful and beautiful. We enjoyed evening walks in the field and quiet sunsets. It's a great little park and was perfect for our weekend getaway. We'll be back!

Driving in, of course we passed it by because instead of a Blue Bell Bed & Breakfast RV park sign there is a James Burke attorney sign. We should have known that, only makes sense to NOT have an RV/Bed & Breakfast sign in front. I have posted pictures to show you what you are driving into. I swear the Deliverance theme song was playing and I got chills. Thank goodness I'm armed & trained!! There is TRASH everywhere!! Then I get to where we are supposed to park the RV and there is a 3 foot deep by 4 foot wide hole in the ground in the knee high weeds. I am told to avoid the hole. Like I was going to intentionally run my 30 foot RV into a hole in the ground. Patty was very nice but her husband, the attorney on the other hand..... let me say this, if I need to be defended on a criminal case I will not call him. He has a certain way he wants the hole filled which my husband proceeds to do as we don't want to spend our vacay filling holes. Then his employee comes out of a nearby trailer, with a softball size hole in the crotch of his jeans. He is wearing no underwear and his man dangles are freely dangling out of the hole at times. DO YOU NOT FEEL THE BREEZE ON YOUR BAWLS?!?!? Oh My God, don't you know I'm on the phone & maps desperately trying to find a different RV spot now. No success, I'm stuck. We are pretty "go with the flow" but dayum! The photos will speak for themselves. Oh, yeah, the bed & breakfast is in the airplane hangar downstairs, they (along with 3 huge dogs) live upstairs except for the kitchen which is downstairs and if you have to do laundry you have to go into their bedroom. A horse lives in the front yard. Another resident gave me that morsel of info as well as telling me that he originally had the place full of alcoholics and drug addicts which was in evidence from the meth baggies we found in the weeds. They stole him blind it so didn't work out for him. All of the campers you see except two are vacant. So by all means, stay here if you don't mind wading through dog and horse crap, calf high weeds, trash &meth baggies, flies, and a crusty attorney who starts up the mower just to mow 2 swaths and baptise your butt with dust & weeds. I wish I could post the video I took of the kangaroo dog!!

If you like off leash RV parks with dogs free to roam, you'll love it here…read more I really wanted to love this place but my experience has been terrible. This place has zero integrity & hospitality. You can't trust anything they advertise. They do not enforce the leash rules, causing leashed dogs to be ambushed by off leash dogs which is a huge safety issue, as it creates a fight or flight response in dogs. I was blown off for days in my request that they enforce the leash rule they advertise. I simply asked that I am able to choose if I want to introduce my dog to other dogs, but at Austonia you do not have that right. In my persistence in requesting that they enforce this leash rule, I was threatened and bullied. The manager Tiffany was as confrontational and rude as they come. In response to my complaint, she threatened to kick me out because of my senior dogs breed, when really it's because I'm asking them to enforce their own leash rules. So basically they are going to enforce a breed rule on me because I am complaining about them not enforcing the leash rule on others. They also do not guarantee your location, even if you pay extra to lock it in. They moved me on arrival and said they would refund the lock fee but didn't. Shame on you Austonia.

The host was lovely, came up to greet us and then led us to our RV site. From a pups perspective this place was 's (4paws). The RV sites are a great size. Concrete pads so no muddy paws here! The RV site was long enough for our 42' RV and longbed truck with room to spare! A good size grass area on each side of the RV, a shade tree for us to lay under! There was also an amazing meadow filled with grass, trees, a doggie bag / trash section and a path! The humans also liked that there was 50 amp power! And let's not forget sewer and water hookups!! Water pressure was great. RV sites are level! Oh and we mention this again cause it was important, enough room between you and your neighbor where you can have your curtains/ blinds up and not feel like you are in the neighbors living room nor hear them or their TV. There is no pool, playground or dog park, but they are enhancing their RV park so not sure what the future holds. None of that held us back from enjoying our stay. Did I mention the roads around the park? Nice and spacious, no tight turns, easy to get into your space and nice and wide for dog walking.... Oh and for driving Their motto is 'keep Austin weird' so we knew we'd fit in . Thankfully it was a very short drive to downtown Austin, 10-20 mins depending on traffic. Anyway a few pix, while it doesn't have all the bells and whistles of some of the other parks, we really, really loved the feel and the space between RV sites as well as that meadow. We would have given one more if there was an enclosed dog park and or if the patios had tables / fire pits. Other than that, it was perfect. We would definitely stay here again. Oh and a tip. There is a nice park, Barkley Green Meadows, about a 5min drive ( you can take back roads or highway) that has a playground for your kids and plenty of walking paths to walk your pups
