Here for 3 years now with no issues other than a bully mentality the staff often provides when you…read moreneed help but that's expected by now (aware this is backwards) you risk eviction. Isn't EVEN an issue compared to being placed into a lot# that gets directly attacked by a ARMY of rats the auto shop generously provides that's connected to this land during winter because they are in need of shelter. I report it and they attempted to stop it with bate stations. I hired my OWN pest control with absolutely no chance like you against a thousand rats with Chuck the Manager telling you to plug more holes and if you keep bringing attention to this matter you'll be evicted, mom was explained the same. Chuck believes I can't handle business (that guy is so close to being senile if he TRULY thinks this) typical response when you give him all the reasons he is wrong. Only this lot# because it's one trash can the rats occupy directly from the shop to the trash can and then they go to the nearest shelter, which is unfortunately MY place like a sacrificial lamb for the rest of the Park others nearby are at risk as well. Why now I don't know? Complained for 8 1/2 months explaining I would rather live in a homeless shelter (still paying rent btw) other times checking myself into the psyche hospital going crazy hearing rats in my walls and watching my trailer get demolished daily. If you're thinking, why didn't he just switch lot# I tried Chuck said I would be taking the rats the park itself gave to another lot (I know it's SO FRUSTRATING!). Changing parks would be a huge problem for I rely only on myself with disability and no help. 8 1/2 months later with 20+holes an unbelievably huge ARMY of rats taking OVER half of my fifth wheel (probably most of my faith in humanity, for SURE Chuck/OWNERS!) moving here to this PARK I've lost my housing, sanity, health, and now I guess Chuck is going for my SOUL as he has no ANSWERS for my trailer HE himself, this PARK along with an ARMY OF RATS occupying the auto shop DESTROYED with no insurance. Just got the trailer and immediately moved in that spot the next day! NOW I'm listening to him NOW tell me I must move because WELL THE TRAILER IS DONE... (ALL RATS... I LOST OBVIOUSLY, ITS COMPROMISED) while timidly trying to (GASLIGHT) me into thinking this is ALL my fault. Tossing me UNDER the bus so he looks good with Corporate other than doing the RIGHT THING (what is he gonna say to corporate I messed up!). Btw Corporate/Chuck and the Owners do nothing to help! It's all about business for THEM. I LOST what was supposed to be a trailer for the next 20 years in 8 1/2 months. Enjoy the "SUNNY SIDE" I must've took a wrong turn (PORTAL TO HELL). Where's that lady that corrects these complaints and tries to somehow convince you it is the tenants problem always to the reader? Good luck on that one lady let's see you make sense outta this?!? Another day in HELL staying outside as much as possible for the aroma of dead rats is overwhelming my trailer contemplating how a cat would've been better than my toy fox terrier right now (concerned with VET BILLS when RATS are eating my dogs food). Beginning to believe this is biblical myself being David with this whole Organization combined with Chuck being Goliath. In NO way do I think this was planned but the PARK along with Chuck couldn't do MORE to try to DESTROY one person I don't get it! Chuck says I can't handle my problems with securing the trailer from rats, OK that's fine! Why am I spending all my time over here in this lot# doing all of this anyway? Can I just move and try to ENJOY my stay when did I sign up for a bootcamp on how to stop an INVASION OF RATS? Chuck is worse than a slum lord because at least they devalue their property, you suffer than leave. In this case HE devalues their property destroying your housing then subtly tries to blame it on YOU while simultaneously kicking you out! Dear god it's raining RIGHT NOW and they (RATS) are just chilling eating my food right in front of me. Therapy is NOW on my list of things to do as well. Owners told me they treat people how they want to be treated. Did you lose your housing? Watch it get destroyed in front of you for 8 1/2 months? Told you are a liar for calling out the RATS! Sent into circles with corporate? Then kicked out on the streets with nothing?!? NO! THIS "RESORT" HAS DONE EVERYTHING BUT KILL ME AND WHO KNOWS 8 1/2 MONTHS OF INHALING RAT SHIT MIGHT PULL THAT OFF TOO ALONG WITH THE DOG. BIGGEST NIGHTMARE OTHER THAN IMAGINING YOUR GOING TO HELL. IN FACT THIS RIGHT HERE IS GREAT PREPARATION FOR IN CASE YOU DO. LOST EVERYTHING.... Whether it's them LYING about the RATS invading your trailer at lot# 17 (surrounding areas) and not letting you transfer to another. Turning the community against you for speaking up! Or Chuck saying you have the ONLY TRAILER that isn't equipped to repel rodents in THE WHOLE PARK! The whole EXPERIENCE was CUTTHROAT!

Our experience with this RV park was extremely disappointing…read more We reached out about staying for one to two months with our 35‑foot motorhome and our pets (one dog and two cats). Instead of a welcoming response, we were told: "Get a smaller RV and less pets." This was not only rude, but dismissive of the RV lifestyle itself. A 35‑foot rig is standard, and pets are part of many travelers' families. For a park to suggest we change our home and give up our companions just to fit their narrow idea of who belongs is unacceptable. RV parks should provide space and hospitality, not judgment. If you value respect, inclusivity, and customer service, this is not the place to stay. We will not be recommending it to fellow travelers.

As soon as I arrived a helpful attendant helped back me in just where I needed to be. Check in was easy and friendly. This is what I was looking for.

Both he, and manager Donovan, were the perfect blend of highly responsive, and easy going. The park is clean, aesthetically pleasing, and the neighbors are awesome. It's both a dog friendly, and tiny home friendly place. There is a neighborhood market store just around the corner, that makes picking up essentials super convenient. Internet was a little tricky, but the other utilities worked great. As a single woman, I felt safe the whole time, and if I were to ever move back to Austin, Evergreen RV park would be my first choice!

I never felt out of place. We arrived to a clean site. Didn't find anything to complain about. We stayed here for 3 nights and it made life easier while exploring the city of Austin and San Antonio. Our dogs were also happy as they enjoyed the walks around the park. Too bad we missed the Halloween pet parade.

This place has serious billing and management problems…read more Not only was I double charged, but after I left the property I continued receiving invoices for months as if I were still staying there. Repeated attempts to correct the issue were either ignored or met with vague responses and no resolution. Trying to get a straight answer felt like chasing smoke. A business that cannot keep basic records of who is onsite and who has already paid should not be handling customers' credit cards. The experience left me feeling frustrated, disrespected, and concerned about how many other guests are dealing with the same mess. Until they fix their accounting practices and learn how to properly close out an account when a guest departs, I would strongly recommend staying somewhere else.

A+ Vibes, Community Feels & Solid Amenities at The Old El Camino Motocourt RV Resort…read more We rolled into The Old El Camino Motocourt RV Resort not knowing exactly what to expect, but it didn't take long to realize we found a gem. From the first warm "hello" at check-in to the ease of our departure, the experience felt like staying with good friends--who just happen to run an RV resort. Management That's Present and Personable What stood out immediately? Access to management. Whether face-to-face or via email, they were available and responsive. Emails with event updates and maintenance schedules kept us in the loop, which we appreciated--especially when planning cookouts or karaoke nights! Better yet, the staff weren't just employees--they were also guests, which made the whole vibe feel more down-to-earth and welcoming. They knew the area well (BBQ lovers: Lockhart is just 20 minutes away), and they were always happy to share tips. Amenities: Thoughtfully Designed and Genuinely Fun The resort checks the boxes and then some. Full hookups, well-maintained restrooms with showers, a large pool and an even larger hot tub (we once fit 12 people with room to spare!), and a killer community space next to the pool that played host to potlucks and karaoke nights. There's a massive double fireplace in that communal space, ideal for gatherings when the temps drop. And behind the building? A bonfire area and smaller fire pits surrounded by comfy seating. Bonus: free firewood during our stay! The gym is small (fits two people max) but clean and efficient with a weight machine, treadmill, and bike. There's also a super-clean laundry room with big washers and dryers that made doing laundry less of a chore. Other nice touches: a covered stage (no live shows during our stay, but it's clearly ready for action), and a dog area that was tidy and respected by both staff and fellow guests. Only things we missed? An ice machine and propane refill station--but both were a short drive away. Grounds & Sites: Clean, Sleek, and Spacious This place is sharp. Roads and sites were freshly paved, level, and easy to navigate. The grounds were neatly mowed and edged, and each RV site was thoughtfully laid out with plenty of room to back in--or pull through if you preferred. Being a newer resort, there's not much shade yet. There are young trees that'll eventually grow up, but for now, bring your own coverage if you're sun-sensitive. One notable gripe (shared by multiple guests): the bright parking-lot-style lights scattered throughout the resort. While we get the need for security, they were way too intense. Our humble suggestion? Dimmers, warmer bulbs, or better yet--low ground lighting. Let guests light their own areas for comfort and better stargazing. Location: Central and Convenient Located right off Texas Highway 21, you're close to everything without feeling crowded. Traffic wasn't bad, though you might hear a few semis braking at the nearby stoplight--nothing major. In 20-25 minutes, you can reach Kyle, Lockhart, or San Marcos, and those drives are easy and scenic. Kyle has all the basics (Walmart, H-E-B, Lowe's, etc.). Lockhart is BBQ heaven, and San Marcos is packed with chill spots and river fun. That spring-fed river runs 72° year-round--perfect for floating or paddleboarding. If you're heading into Austin, budget 45+ minutes depending on I-35 traffic. A Place to Party or Chill--Your Pick The overall vibe of The Old El Camino? A sweet mix of family-friendly and fun-loving. Whether you want to keep it quiet, socialize, or sing your heart out, it works. We made new friends quickly--thanks to the welcoming staff and well-planned community events. As for pricing, it felt more than fair. There's a refundable deposit and electric usage on top, but even with our AC running constantly, the bill wasn't shocking. Final Thoughts: We'll Be Back We felt safe, seen, and satisfied. Cleanliness was top-notch, staff were friendly and invested, and the sense of community was refreshing. If you're passing through Central Texas--or just want to escape for a few days--The Old El Camino Motocourt RV Resort is well worth your time. Sing a few songs, light a bonfire, make a new friend or two... and when you check in, tell 'em Lu and Brandi sent you!

The Nest looks exactly like it does on the website, and the location is great as well. It is literally adjacent to a shopping center (the back parking lot of Sears is like 20 feet away) but surprisingly this isn't a negative because it's still very quiet. Seriously, the owners thought of everything! All I brought with me was some wine, snacks, comfy clothes, and my sewing supplies. I had my own personal Sewing Retreat for the weekend and it was fantastic! =) As far as nearby attractions, I only ventured out once when I took the 25 minute drive to Llano, Texas. It was a super cute town with several boutiques, gift shops, restaurants, and 2 quilt stores (which were my main motivator for leaving the cottage). There's also a Family Dollar. There are also nearby wineries and a Country Store with plenty of basics plus made to order pizza, salads, and sandwiches. I personally recommend bringing some food, some wine and comfy clothes and just hanging out to enjoy the scenery. Be sure to do some star gazing at night and get up for the sunrise - it's AMAZING!

The bed was comfortable and it had a great shower and running water! The only couple of things that we noted we wish were "better" was the lake itself was HOT! It's a cooling reservoir for the nearby power plant so we weren't able to actually enjoy the water and with a Texas summer cold water = best scenario. SO, would recommend lake activities in the fall/winter for that reason! And also, the doors are beautiful on the cabin but since we are in nature bugs will come inside. We turned on ambiance lighting the last night we were there and the bugs had a party. With the doors being slider doors they aren't flush to the wall and have much easier ways for the bugs to come inside, so be aware of that!
