Dr. Saul Marcus is a true healer…read more I lost trust in conventional medicine years ago and have largely relied on holistic practitioners ever since, including naturopaths and Traditional Chinese Medicine doctors. I had been searching for a new naturopath closer to home and came across Dr. Marcus after finding his website and resonating with his philosophy and approach to health. Another thing that intrigued me was that he incorporates kinesiology (muscle testing) into his practice--a technique that uses the body's muscle responses to help identify imbalances, sensitivities, and areas that may need support. I had recently heard about muscle testing and was curious to try it, but had never seen it offered by another naturopath before. What stood out to me most is that he takes a truly integrative approach to healing. Rather than focusing on symptoms alone or relying heavily on supplements, he considers the whole person, including diet, emotional factors, lifestyle, and even Ayurvedic principles. I appreciate that he focuses on identifying and addressing the root cause rather than piling on supplement after supplement or ordering a bunch of costly lab tests (we've spent THOUSANDS on them with the previous ND). He's also an herbalist and homeopath, both modalities that my body has responded well to in the past. For as long as I can remember, I've struggled with chronic stomach aches. Over the years I've tried countless approaches--specialized diets, food eliminations, acupuncture, tinctures, supplements, topical remedies, aromatherapy, and more. Some things provided temporary relief, but nothing created lasting change. I actually arrived at Dr. Marcus's office with a stomach ache and left without one. After following his protocol, I've now gone three days without stomach pain, which is remarkable considering I had been experiencing discomfort every single day for the previous two months. I even ate a slice of pizza last night (dairy+grains came up as something that weakens my body in the muscle test) and I shockingly didn't have a stomach ache! My husband also became a patient and saw impressive results. He suffers from severe migraines that typically last all day and sometimes even two days. After following Dr. Marcus's recommendations, his migraines were nearly gone within a couple of hours. If you've tried everything and still aren't getting answers, if you're dealing with chronic health issues, or if you're looking for a practitioner who takes a more holistic approach to healing, I highly recommend Dr. Marcus. He is thoughtful, knowledgeable, and genuinely committed to helping his patients heal. In my experience, he's the kind of doctor that's become increasingly rare--someone who treats the whole person rather than simply managing symptoms.

I had little to no expectations but knew I was afraid of needles so I did my best to communicate that in between my breaths. Naika was very good about soothing my nerves as she explained what she would be doing and offered that if at any point I was nervous or uncomfortable to let her know and we could stop. Though this could be taken for granted as standard practice, she has a way of being so present with her assessments and observations, that you can tell it goes beyond the acupuncture. Our session was a quick one, yet the healing went beyond. I felt relaxed and held in ways that I hadn't in a very long time. I've gone to Naika for quite some time now and I am so constantly humbled at knowing and being graced by such a gentle and thoughtful healer. When in her care you can tell that she is so genuine and passionate about her work, that you are inherently safe. You know she is taking the time to hear all of your concerns, and you know that you will be treated promptly. Even the way she actively listens during initial check-ins with her infamous and nonintrusive, "Mms!" About eight years ago I got in a serious car accident, which really messed up my arm and my body…read more It was hard for me to get up and do things without excruciating pain, which really hindered my ability to work and even do other, simple things like using the bathroom or take a shower. First I tried a bunch of things with my regular doctor - shots, pain medications; but none of them really worked, and the pain would keep coming back. Finally I tried this place because it was recommended by somebody I knew from work. I'm so glad I did. They started me out gently with some therapeutic treatments to temporarily relieve my pain, and eventually, when they began working on my real problems, like my arm, it felt like I was really making progress in my recovery. I haven't felt any serious pain since I've finished treatment with them, and I'm hoping it'll stay that way. I would highly recommend these doctors; not just because they helped me get rid of my pain but also because of how they treat their patients. They're very people-oriented, and they really treat their patients with respect (and dogs too! They take care of this aging dog who needs a lot of attention and honestly, it's pretty cute). If you've tried conventional methods of treatments for body injuries and even body aches, and they haven't worked, I would definitely try this place out. It's pretty awesome.
