I have to say that they have an excellent selection and they stand by their products. In the past, I have purchased living room sets, dining room sets, and miscellaneous items from the store. All the times that I have entered this location. All the staff seems to be very helpful and polite, not pushy. don't let you roam around. Sit on everything lay down on the couch, etc. and enjoy your visit. They also provide snacks down in the back. There's ice cream and candy does come in handy if not alone. I would like to state one story about their warrantees, which I highly suggest you purchase. One of my purchases was a white leather living room set.. It was a rather large expensive set. it included a large sectional and I added to living room cheers and three Ottomans as I had a huge living room. I had this furniture for approximately four years and to my surprise the sectional on the backside started to peel. I was very surprised about this and I contacted them about replacement as I did purchase the warranty. I spent almost $400 on the warranty which most of my friends thought I was crazy. I'm a big fan of extended plans. Anyway, while I was speaking to Bob's customer service on the phone and requesting someone coming and take a look at my furniture as I wanted to put in a warranty claim to either repair it or replace it. I was informed that they no longer had this leather living room available and that they were not doing repairs on that model any longer. I found myself in a funny position when I asked what can you do for me? They said we can give you a refund so I readily agreed. When my refund came in the mail now mind you I still had all the furniture they didn't want to come get it. They didn't even come in inspect it which I couldn't believe. I thought they were gonna be sending me a partial refund of some sort however they sent me a refund in the form of store credit for over $4000.. yes they refunded me for my entire purchase the cheers the Ottomans and the warranty. Unless I fall in love with a piece of furniture somewhere else, I will always drop at Bob's. Now back to the basic review they have a very very large parking area so you will always get a spot. It's directly on route one so it's. And they have a great selection of furniture for any room or decor. Now when you go in if you like a couch or chair, they actually have different colors. You can order them in even though you don't see it displayed so make sure you speak to the sales person. They have a finance program positive, but I see it advertised when I walk around. Definitely consider Furniture.

I bought a sectional on September 7, 2020 to be delivered in 8-10 weeks. It was delayed from a November delivery to January 2021, and now again to March 2021. That will be 7 months. And I would not be surprised if it was delayed again. The COVID manufacturing delays are killing me so much that I ended up just buying a cheap couch from Wayfair because I was tired of having nothing to sit on in my living room. It arrived in literally 3 business days. It is taking everything in my willpower to not cancel the couch delivery altogether. I wish there was more they could do. I would recommend that anyone who wants major furniture pieces right away to not plan on B&P delivering quickly.

Since we had purchased the protection plan ($265), we reached out to Bernie & Phyl's, who was able to send someone by about a week later. The service tech came out, took photos and pointed out a giant knot in the wood where it broke. He also pointed out that the electric recliner for another section was open about 3/4" (not closing flat), and that springs on the third section (chaise lounge) appeared to be raised. I told him those were not real issues, we were concerned with the collapsed, unsafe section where someone could have been hurt. He let me know we would hear from the service department "within 3-5 days." Given we were on the verge of a holiday weekend, I gave it a few extra days, and then called them. The response I got was, "Oh, yeah, well, you have multiple issues going on with the furniture, so nothing is covered." I said that is unacceptable, this is a serious flaw as pointed out by your service technician. She said, "well you never called about the other 'issues' so that voids your warranty." In our view, those were not issues at all. However, a snapped frame that could have seriously hurt someone is. I asked for a supervisor and was told to talk to Shelly. Long story short, Shelly offered, then un-offered to refund the warranty cost, stating, "well I was trying to be nice but I don't have to be! I'm done!" and hung up the phone in my face. This was after I asked her for her supervisor's name, to which she replied "Kevin {and his last name which I don't want to post here}." I got in touch with Kevin. In fact, he called me back, stating that he was confused as to why Shelly would have given me his name, as he deals with sales. However, he stated that he would get my information over to Sonia, the customer service manager, who would call me. I waited several days and did not receive a call. I filled out the online contact form, explaining the situation, and asking for Sonia to please give me a call to discuss a solution to the sofa issue, and to discuss Shelly's treatement of me. I got a form response electronically signed by Sonia that sounds very much like others' experience here. Here's her response: Hi Heather, Thank you for your email, and I am sorry for the frustration and inconvenience this situation has caused. I certainly understand how difficult it is to be without comfortable seating in your living room, and I appreciate your patience while we reviewed your concerns. I have reviewed the service findings and warranty determination. While I understand this is not the outcome you were hoping for, the damage noted on the inspection was determined to be the result of accumulated wear and damage over time. Unfortunately, conditions resulting from accumulated damage are not covered under either the manufacturer's warranty or the protection plan. I know this is disappointing, particularly given your loyalty as a customer and the investment you made in your furniture. Please know that we carefully reviewed the information available before reaching this decision, and based on the findings, we are unable to approve warranty coverage for the reported concerns. If you would like to discuss the service findings in greater detail, I would be happy to speak with you directly. Sincerely, Sonia [****] Customer Care Department Bernie & Phyl's Furniture I responded saying that yes, I would greatly appreciate a call back. That was on July 8th. Yesterday, I called the corporate office and was transferred to someone named Hannah. She listened to the whole story, said she would run it by her boss and call me back. She didn't. Today, I called the corporate office again, and spoke to someone who did/would not identify themselves by name. After 18 minutes, she said she would "see if Sonia is available to talk to you." I sat on hold a bit more, was transferred and hung up on. Assuming positive intent, I called back. Four times. Each time, I was hung up on upon pressing 3 to speak to the operator. I have spent thousands of dollars in this store. The sales team in Saugus, MA, is actually really kind and easy to work with. It is a shame that the customer service department is not willing to help customers or to treat others with dignity, as we would have been more than happy and willing to continue shopping there as we did when we purchased an entire bedroom set as well. All this to say, not only is the "warranty" misleading and full of weird loopholes, the customer service department is not a group of people looking to help others. They are straight up unkind and start the conversation with a negative attitude. Kevin (sales manager) was kind and actually said to me, "this is unfortunate. I actually side with you based on what you told me happened," but he has also disappeared from the situation. Shop in another furniture store!

After showing him pictures of our living room and explaining what we seemed to like, David showed me about 10-12 rugs and was very helpful explaining the differences between the styles/patterns, manufacture and quality, as well as appropriate sizing. With his guidance, I boiled it down to four and arranged to have them delivered to the house so we could see what they looked like with our furniture & colors (btw, I highly recommend doing this). My wife and I were so blown away, by how the rugs transformed the room, that we decided to buy one for our dining room as well. Both are hand-woven, tribal patterns from Afghanistan. Since then, I've taken four older rugs in for cleaning and one fringe repair....they look great! David and his team are exceptional at what they do. I could not be happier to have found and worked with a business like this - great experience all around!!

I understand you sign a waiver that states they can't guarantee spots will be removed but in my case they removed the dye from the rug, briefly mentioned it to me when I picked up my rug, never showed me what happened, and still charged me for the full cleaning despite damaging my rug. It seems like whoever was doing the cleaning didn't have enough expertise to know how to treat or clean my rug and irreparably damaged it. The fact that I was still charged the full amount for the cleaning felt disingenuous. They clearly knew they had damaged the rug as they mentioned it to me upon pick up. Not showing me the area affected when I was there felt like they were trying to hide their mistake. Be very cautious when you bring rugs here to be cleaned.
