The service is great! The food is great! The parking is easy. The inside is big, spacious, and clean. Lots of people order to-go, but eating here is easy too. The food is made to order, and is made very well using very fresh ingredients. Definitely worth the try!

I am not particularly picky when it comes to eatting. Outside of seafood I have tried to broaden my horizons when it comes to eating. In this case I never really restrict myself to a vegetarian diet but at the same time I realize I need to at times so I can come across locations with such a fantastic menu as Garden Wok. Garden Wok has been on my list for a while and I finally had a chance to sit down and try their food and they did not disappoint. In fact they really impressed me. I've had occasion to try vegetarian versions of dishes at other places that have left me feeling "meh". This was NOT the case with Garden Wok. Every item I tried was delicious and had a great flavor! Their "chicken" drumettes were phenomenal and are a must have when I return. While the rest of their sampler platter didn't blow me away, do not think the spring rolls or wontons were less, they each had a wonderful complexity and taste. The Orange "Chicken" I tried was fantastic as well. I usually dislike having the sauce on the top but here the sauce was fantstic. Not overpowering at all and really complimented the perfectly fried "chicken" to provide a fantastic meal. Whether you are on a vegetarian diet or just want a fantastic meal, Garden Wok has you covered.

The place is clean. I came here in the late afternoon after work. I have been wanting to visit Garden Wok for a long time and it was bookmarked for like over a couple of years now. I finally got the opportunity to come here and tried their food. I got lettuce wrap and shrimp chow mein. The dish and appetizer are both fantastic top quality cook. I absolutely love the flavor of chow mein. Not too sweet or salty, perfectly seasoned, enough flavor, not too plain or watery down. I can't believe I didn't come earlier until now. I am glad to say I will definitely return here to try more dishes. I would say Garden Wok is one of the best Chinese Vegan food places. The woman was ready to accomodate with a Deaf person like me, gave me the order slip to write on, and they did brought exactly what I ordered. Even though Yelp app has photos I can see, the only thing I would like that is for their menu to include pictures of some popular dishes or appetizers but it doesn't stop me from giving 5 full stars. ^^

Lots of parking available! The food here is so good! The orange chicken is so crispy! The sauce is runny and really coats every morsel! The broccoli beef resembles beef so well! It has a chew to it and the "meat" absorbed the sweet soy sauce like a sponge! The fried rice was the sleeping winner for me! Didn't look special but full of flavor not spicy at all! Definitely getting the orange chicken and the fried rice again! Inside has a lot of things to look at especially if you like Chinese zodiacs! Very good conversation starter! Water is tap maybe bring your own water Go veggies!

Its been a bit since we last came here. This time we got the Golden Tofu Squares, the Basil Eggplant, bok choi and mushrooms, and lastly, the kung pao chicken. Overall, everything was good, but there wasn't as much seasoning as I would have liked. But, being that this is a healthy restaurant, it probably was better for me :-). Also, my wife asked for no spice on the kung pao as it didn't have any spice. Our mistake The atmosphere is comfortable. The server was alone handling 3 tables and take out orders. Things took slightly longer than normal, but not too long. Next time I'll remember to include spice on the kung pao. Despite that, its worth the trip here.

Tried this place today and couldn't believe how good it was! Tried the platter as well as the sweet and sour chicken. Also the place is so cute on the inside. Would be a great place to go on a date. Also the lady working was really kind and helpful. The sweet and sour chicken was mushroom and fried very lightly, just delicious. The fake chicken drumettes on the sampler were soooo good. I want to come back just for those. I will be back and I'm not a vegetarian

Updating my review! I've been coming here for over 20 years, I just realized. Same delicious food, comfortable and casual atmosphere, same wonderful human answering the phone. I love this place. I recently got the vegan orange chicken. It was crispy, flavorful. It comes with crisp, fresh broccoli. I was really into Panda Express Beyond orange chicken for a while (when it was available). Garden Wok's orange chicken blows away it tho, TBH! One of my top 5 fave vegan places in SoCal.

such a great vegetarian restaurant in the valley! service is always friendly, and doesn't take long considering it's a one woman show. i have to recommend the orange chicken! so crispy and delicious, and the fake meat seemed mushroom based. the spicy tofu fried rice wasn't spicy imo, but had great flavor to it and i will definitely be getting those two again. the beef and broccoli is pretty standard, the beef is a pretty good imitation and has a similar bite to real beef. we also got the appetizer sampler, and the highlight was the chicken drumsticks for sure! parking is easy in the lot, and it never seems too busy, so i definitely recommend to anyone looking for authentic chinese veg food in the valley :)

Every aspect from the dark walls and wooden bar, down to the music and bathroom is well thought out. You can tell they truly value their space and the customers that support the restaurant. Don't get me started on the food ~ We tried the Bincho Egg Black Tonkatsu Ramen. The broth was silky and creamy, not oily or heavy at all. The black garlic added a very interesting earthy and almost scorched taste to it. The egg was sweet, and I've never had a sweet ramen egg before but it went well with the rest of the umami flavors in the dish. The green onions and wood ear mushrooms had a fresh crunch to them and there was enough to get a good amount in every bite. The charsiu was tender + savory sweet, kinda tasted like cheese to me but that's also a positive lol! The noodles were slightly chewy and the portion was just right for the amount of broth you get. I have nothing bad to say about this ramen, it's truly one of those spots where your heart desires seconds or even thirds lowkey. I'll be back again to try a different option on the menu. That spicy karaage looked pretty fire so I may need to come back to try that too... Thank you Bincho! Y'all killed the ramen game.

The pork and crab dumplings would have been a hit, but the dumpling shell had a "soapy" smell. The meat inside was soft and tasted good, but I couldn't get over the smell of the shell. He knows I love hot pot and instead of our usual 626 hot pot spots, he wanted to choose something new and hip that we've never tried before. He heard from a friend that Tabu Shabu was a good hot pot place so we decided to try it out. The restaurant is located in the corner in a huge plaza, we came on a Friday night and although the plaza was busy, we were able to find a parking spot. Inside the restaurant, you'll either be seated the few tables that they or in the center circular "bar" style seating. It was my first time being at a hot pot place with this style seating, but it was a unique experience. Once seated, we were given menus and quickly asked what we wanted to drink. After the waitress took our order, it took us about 15 minutes for our appetizer to arrive. We ordered spicy edamame and a cucumber salad. The menu was very basic and I wasn't impressed with the broth selection. The standard broth was traditional kombu (literally water with a huge piece of seaweed), miso for additional $1, sukiyaki, for additional $3, and tonkotsu for additional $4. Sounds a bit absurd to me that they would charge extra for the different options when at much better tasting Hot Pot places, the options would all be included in the price. After 20 minutes, one of the waiters noticed that we didn't receive our broth or food and asked us if we ordered yet. We told him that a waitress took our order already but we haven't received our food. Turns out, the waitress took our order but didn't place it in the system yet. I'm hangry at this point, we came to our reservation at 7:30, it's 8:20 at this point and we had plans at 9pm-- so I was a bit annoyed that we had to wait so long. Things were turned around once we received our order though, the broth and food came quickly after she placed our order and the veggie platter section was OK. I'm not the biggest fan of hot pot places that have preselected veggie plates. The veggie plate had a small handful of spinach, a few pieces of napa cabbage, 3 pieces of broccoli, two slices of kabocha pumpkin, a small bunch of enoki mushroom, two pieces of tofu, and some onion slices. It's a nice "variety" but I only like broccoli and mushroom, but because I don't eat rice I had no choice but to eat the veggies to fill me up. I'm happy they offered Shirataki noodles! I chose the large portion and did half chicken half chuck roll. The chuck roll I was given was chewy and fatty. I spat out the chewy parts which was basically majority of the portion I was given. Would I come back here? No, but being from the 626, I have higher expectations for hot pot because I've grown up eating it. This is a good hot pot place for beginner hot pot goers.

I even drove a bit out of my way to come here, only to find a "closed" sign on the door. I truly hope everything is okay with the owners and staff, but it was disappointing that there wasn't any notice or backup plan for unexpected closures. From what I could see through the window, the restaurant looked very clean and well-kept. I'll definitely want to try again another time but will certainly call first!!!!

It is not Frankensteins intention to be negative here today. But wholly Yelp hype Batman! Yes,…read moreFrankenstein can buy into a good hype every so often which the Bride of Frankenstein enjoys pointing out. Especially when Frankenstein is wrong. Frankenstein enjoys braised beef noodle soup. A lot. Frankenstein's heart was yanked out of his huge body and crushed when Mandarin Deli went out of business during Covid. A pain he still feels even today. They had the best Braised Beef Noodle Soup ever! Frankenstein went hook, line, and sinker when he read the Yelp hype about this place. Bottom line, nice people, not as awesome as was described. Braised Beef Noodle Soup- Sorry Noodles Kitchen but it's too chili hot. About a 8.5 to 9 on Frankensteins too hot scale. Beef was okay, not great. Noodles were good. Bride of Frankenstein had one taste and pushed it away. "Mucho Caliente" Orange Chicken, fine. Let's not go overboard everyone. Pan Fried Dumplings, good. Check it out for yourself. 10/11/2025 Update- It saddens Frankenstein to see so many fake reviews over and over again. Really Noodles Kitchen? Please.

Very honest opinion: Not sure if I'm eating the same food as everyone else leaving reviews here,…read morebut I got the signature beef (Lanzhou) noodle soup combo and it was incredibly disappointing~mediocre. Server guy was chill. The food is served in a paper bowl, unlike the nice bowls you see in their pics. Tl;dr: if you're curious, don't waste your time, bafang is open 5min away Preface: I KNOW it's mall food, but for a restaurant that continuously pops up as #1 on Yelp whenever I search for food around the northridge/chatsworth area, I'm going to treat it as if it were a #1 spot. Beef noodle soup: to be very blunt, this was quite flavorless. The beef was dry as bones and looked like it was sliced with a mandoline. The noodles seemed undercooked and it felt like I was eating al dente spaghetti noodles. I got a medium spice level which didn't even seem that spicy, just a lot of cough inducing chili oil with no burn. Pan fried dumplings were ok. It honestly tasted like it was deep fried and not pan fried. Unsweetened black tea: hands down the best of the 3 things in the combo, which is quite telling. Honestly you get a decent amount of food for $15. But to constantly take the top 5 for recommended on Yelp in this area and waste my time to even look at it, it definitely doesn't belong remotely close to top 10.

Finally popped in after constantly seeing it on my FYP and it did not disappoint. I ordered the…read morespicy beef noodle soup combo which came with 4 dumplings and a beverage. The service was friendly and the wait was reasonable. Its located in the mall which means that you don't really get much of a vibe from this place alone but of everything surrounding. The soup was not spicy imo, I have a high tolerance, but it did have a good flavor. The noodles were thick and soft but they lacked a bit of flavor. The beef was soft and flavorful with the smaller bits of beef, which resembled ground beef, were very tasty. The soup was good overall but felt a bit too oily. The dumplings had a light crunchy exterior and the inside was juicy but it felt just a bit too mushy for me. Overall a good place and I would return to try something else.

I grabbed the Taiwanese spicy noodle soup and some regular dumplings to go. Not the cheapest, but the soup? Honestly a solid win. The broth was flavorful with all the fixings, definitely hit the spot. The dumplings were a little on the blander side (kinda giving Costco frozen dumpling vibesl), but i drop them straight into that spicy noodle broth. Trust me, it completely levels them up and makes the whole meal so much better Overall a really solid meal, I'd definitely come back to try more of the menu!

The options seem similar to Chubby Dumpling and Tigawok. I ordered the #4 Combo, with the Signature Dumplings and the Signature Noodles. Both dishes were good. The Signature Noodles were nicely done and had some good flavor, I just wish that there was a protein option to add to it. The Signature Dumplings were fine. I've also tried the Spicy Wontons, which were small but tasty. The big sell here is the Taiwanese Beef Noodle Soup, for $17.95. This is the only dish that's served in a big ceramic bowl, and not a to-go container. It also comes with a proper Ramen soup spoon. This is a meal on it's own. Filled with broth, noodles, chunks of tender, but fatty beef, daikon radishes and bok choy. The dish is good for the price, but the broth was a bit underwhelming for my taste. Fortunately, they have plenty of condiments to add more spice and heat. Over all, Bafang Dumpling was better than expected.
