Sizzling Chicken Tandoori

My go-to spot for Indian food! Probably the closest to authentic flavors I've had in the U.S. The vibe and interior are warm and inviting, and we were greeted with a big smile by Salim--service was excellent throughout. The Tikka Masala and Butter Chicken were rich and flavorful, and the sizzling Tandoori was a standout.

Just made an order from Indian Masala House via DoorDash today! I ordered mild lamb curry and Chicken Sag: both dished came with a super basmati rice container. The lamb curry was super delish, and the sauce so good and tasty. The chicken saag also was scrumptious; both portions were normal size But I appreciate that the dishes prices included their fluffy basmati rice

This is today's review. Love the new look of this restaurant. It's has a bright, modern, upscale look. Our server MK gave such great customer service. We had a great talk about history. The food was amazing! Loved the thin garbanzo appetizer. The soup was so delicious and boiling hot. I will order the lamb vandaloo medium spicy again. The ambiance is nice and peaceful. Will definitely recommend this place. I'll be back again. This review is a late post....Love that they are open late. The ambience is nice. Loved the music. Parking on Ventura no need to feed the meter at night Saleen's service was exceptional. Everything looks so clean. Plates were served hot. There are real fabric napkins and real utensils. Started with the papadun crunchy like tortilla, healthy, made of lentils) served with the two sauces one green and one red. They are both so delicious had to get a few refills. Had the lentil soup with veges & a squeeze of lemon. Lamb Sag and Eggplant Barta with the rice and naan. Everything was so good. Saleen kept checking to see if everything was ok. About to take off and heard everyone talking about dessert so got some. Strawberry ice cream and pistachio ice cream with gulab jamun (rose water) served hot so good and sweet for those with a sweet tooth...oh

Food 10/10 Service 10/10 Ambiance 10/10 Khairal is one of my favorite people here he always welcomes us with the outmost respect and at this point he knows what we like so he always puts our order in before we talk lol. This is one of the best Indian food and you can't disagree with me after you try it. Many good spots around but this is the authentic as real as is gets to home.

Been craving Indian food and decided to try this place out with my friends. We started off with veg samosas and ordered the chicken tikka masala, chicken saag, and chicken korma and some garlic naan. We told them mild as we don't like too spicy. We got our food and it was great! All the food was wonderful and tasty. The garlic nan was amazing, good amount of rice, and it was all great. The only thing was I didn't taste/sense any spice at all. The owner was the sweetest, best person ever. I will def be back!!! Parking: there's meters and a small lot in the back.

Gorgeous new interior!

I moved away 6 months ago - to come back and visit and be so delighted to see how they have beautifully remodeled and created a truly lovely dining ambiance. The food is still the absolute best Indian food you can find in LA which incredible Tofu subs for Paneer in their dishes. Plenty of vegetarian and vegan options - its a go to for everyone. I'm so happy to see them getting past the losses from the Pandemic Year that many restaurants were not able to overcome -- and to see them grow and flourish.

Chicken tikka 1/10 no flavor

I ordered twice from DoorDash. So the first time I ordered samosas , chicken tikka masala combination with cucumber salad & rice pudding. I wanted the chicken tikka masala spicy and it was the most sweetest thing ever. But the samosas were really good. So I ordered a second time for the samosas and I got two order of that , chicken tikka, and mango lassi. But this time the samosas had lint all over it which was disgusting all 4 of those had pieces of lint/ tiny hairs not sure if they dropped it or it was from a napkin but regardless it was disgusting to eat. The mango lassi was okay and the chicken tikka had absolutely no flavor. Even though I gave this restaurant a try twice I would say I wouldn't recommend, didn't meet my expectations and wasn't clean. If your door dashing I was say try a different Indian restaurant before this one.

As such, one cuisine (and there are more) that fits the bill is that from India. There are a plethora of restaurants in both the SFV and the Lost Angeles area, mainly centered around Northern cuisine. But tell me, do you know of one that is consistent in its delivery of memorable, hallmark dishes? Yes, there is a place in Canoga Park, called New India Palace. They serve a lunch buffet (11 am to 3 pm) daily, 7 days a week, that is unmatched, anywhere in these environs. It now runs at $14.99 plus tax, very reasonable, I might add, with a delicious selection of mouthwatering dishes. Recently, I found dahi vada (deep fried lentil donuts soaked in yoghurt and topped with chutneys and spices) as one of the selections (never seen that in any Indian buffet). It is one of my favorite Indian appetizers. And that too, it was superbly prepared. Their goat curry with aromatic brown gravy, goes well with the included freshly prepared naan (I chose the garlic version). There is chicken biriyani, pappar (fire roasted lentil and pepper wafers), yellow lentils (their version is fantastic), Saag (spinach) and aloo gobi (cauliflower and potatoes), to name a few. Chili chicken was okay, but the tandoori chicken came out dry, for both my pieces. Either way, this is not a knock down of this place. Overall, their Indian buffet food is the best in the Valley. And what about the service? Nothing short of exceptional.

I told them to order plenty of food, since we'd worked up an appetite on the boat, and we would take home the leftovers. They ordered a lot - appetizers, curries and dosas - and there were barely any leftovers. It was late and the restaurant was pretty empty, so we got lots of service attention. Everything was delicious. Because we enjoyed our first time here so much, my husband and I came back about a month later on a weekday for an early lunch right as they were supposed to open. There didn't seem to be anyone actually working the seating area; a person came out eventually and told us that someone would take our order soon. It was quite a while before anyone came, the food took a long time to be served, and the food wasn't as good as I remembered. Very disappointing, which is why I'm giving 4 stars, not 5. Yesterday, driving back from Ojai on the 101 at lunchtime, we decided to give the restaurant another try. The service was very prompt and friendly and the food was very good. We ordered a vegetarian thali and an onion rava masala dosa to share between the two of us. The thali gave us a chance to have a sample of lots of their dishes. The dosa was awesomely crunchy, with large portions of sambar and several chutneys. We were stuffed before we finished our meal. Our total bill was only $30, plus tax and tip. We will definitely come back again, hopefully with a group of friends so we can order a lot of dishes and share. I have to assume that our one disappointing lunch was just a bad day - maybe their staff was out sick or something. But two of our three meals here were great and I look forward to eating that dosa again! We would come here more often, but we live half an hour away.
