GARDEN TOOL COMPANY SELLS CUSTOMER DATA TO YOTPO.
Garden Tool Company [ hereafter, GTC ] states on their website that "we'll never send you spam emails after contacting us." [ see contact page ], but that brief marketing lie does not inform customers that Yotpo [ a company based in Tel-Aviv ] receives customer data from GTC expressly to forward to GTC's purchasers the very SPAM, that GTC alleges that a customer will not receive.
A considerably disturbing fact is that I made my purchase by telephone expressly to avert this kind of breach, & ONLY AFTER I specifically enquired to affirm that GTC would NOT distribute my personal information to a third-party. I was assured that they would not, but that proved very much to be untrue.
Although GTC sells well constructed Dewit tools, the breach of my privacy was not worth the purchase, which I discovered ONLY AFTER I had made that purchase:

FURTHER DETAIL:
Yotpo sends the purchaser unsolicited emails requesting feedback [ SPAM ] so that GTC reviews might increase their customer base & a favourable presence on the internet via search engines & social networks, whereby your personal data may be additionally compromised.
The more egregious issue is that Yotpo stores your personal data ON THEIR OWN [ YOTPO'S ] SERVERS, which equates a breach of privacy & belies GTC's claim that they do not do this.
I raised the issue to Anne Schreck [ Owner | Garden Tool Company ], subsequent to the receipt of Yotpo SPAM, & across more than thirteen (13) emails. The predominance of Anne Schreck's responses were defensive & denying -- notably her initial replies. Her later replies degenerated to provocations & insult as I was relentless in my search for GTC to proffer an actual resolution to the breach of my privacy. That was never offered.
Anne Schreck purports that the customer data, which Yotpo accumulates, to be innocuously retained on the GTC computer, but the truth is not in agreement with her testimony. The fact remains that deceit is promulgated by GTC's website & it's very owner. Your data, subsequent to purchase is sold to a third-party.
Subtext:
You will not find negative reviews easily on the GTC website. The settings arranged by their Yotpo software [ plainly evident by a red tab at the base of the GTC website ] discloses only reviews of four (4) stars or more.
