Susan is amazing. She is super kind to work with and hear what I want really well. The floral arrangement at the wedding day is wonderful! The bouquets are rustic and romantic. I mentioned I like orchids and then our tall centerpiece has sprigs of white dendrobiums! These flowers fit my style pretty well, and beyond my expectations! She knows our venue very well. The petals at the fountain are so impressive and romantic. Many guests expressed that they like the flowers at the wedding! read more

We met with Susan in the summer of 2013 o discuss our upcoming wedding. We started out having a strict budget, she let us know she would do her best to give us our vision with out compromising too much on the types of elegant flowers that would work best. Flowers are expensive, the work is tedious, and not everyone can simply put a bouqet together and make it look incredible. From the moment we met, I knew she was an expert and I didnt need to keep searching for a wedding florist. She is well experienced and knowledgable about everything from color placement, types of flowers, what is required for the actual venue, and what flowers should be used because they smell so wonderful. She was extremely friendly, a very sweet lady that is worth giving the time to. She was quick to respond to emails and inquiries I had. She is a busy woman, this is her livelyhood so I knew not expect an instantaneous call back. On our wedding day the bouquets were already in place. Gorgeous colorful flowers, they smelled so lovely. They were exactly how she spelled them out in the itemized contract. She has the amazing ability to make the colors colide with out looking spotty, which she promised. I was not sure of what I wanted to do with my bouqet after the wedding. The expected moves of a military bride let me know that surely the dried up flowers would look dishoveled before long, we decided she was right when she told us flowers are to be enjoyed while alive. Its hard to part with such a beautiful arrangement the one you carry while marrying the man of your dreams. Me and my husband did it though the day after the wedding. I wouldnt just throw it in the trash, for me it a part of me for some reaons.. We broke apart the flowers one by one as sort of a ceremony, gathered the petals and took a simple picture. It was something unique, something for us to have. She is the best, look no further.. book her early because she is worth having as a vendor. read more

Our wedding was the first time I've had to order florals for anything. I don't know how she did it, but after one long visit and only a few inspiration photos, Susan Garden made my vision happen. The bouquets were perfect, and the little details she put in to everything- from the ceremony decor to napkin rings made with fresh lavender- were noticed and appreciated. Susan is a wonderful woman and an absolute joy to work with. She's a little slow to respond, but then again so are most Wine Country vendors (I live in Houston, it's a different pace of life here!). read more

Garden Party - Florals by Susan Garden. Venue: Gundlach Bundschu - Florists Near Me

We met Susan at her ranch in St Helena, and loved speaking with her about what we wanted for our wedding. She was very accommodating with our budget, and we immediately felt at ease with her. We had a small wedding, and our floral needs were a ceremony arch, 5 centerpieces, 1 bridal bouquet, 4 aisle decorations, and a few boutonnieres. All the arrangements were gorgeous and contained a variety of flowers, just as I had requested. A few of the flowers in my bouquet looked a little bruised or wilted at the very edge of the petals, but nothing that noticeable. (I will update this review with pictures when I get them from our photographer). I removed 1 star only because email communication was difficult at times (extremely slow response via email/phone, which was stressful considering we were planning the wedding from the east coast). Overall, we were very happy with Susan's work. Gorgeous work! read more

AMAZINGLY CREATIVE AND BEAUTIFUL!!! Susan was fantastic. She was able to appreciate our minimalist sense of aesthetics, our desire to recycle and reuse nature, and was able to pull off a 1000 origami crane piece that she fashioned together (we did the labor on the cranes, she did the tough part of figuring out how to incorporate them throughout the wedding) - this was the archway we passed under to begin our dancing and celebrations and it was perfect! She was able to pull things from her collection that really fit into our overall theme and colors - even with succulents! She stayed on time and in budget, but more than that, we really got the sense that she cared every bit as much about the final product as we did. And it was AWESOME! Thank you so very much for everything! We couldn't have done it without you! read more

Sue is a true floral artist! She took my vision and turned it into a fairy tale! I have never seen such beautiful flower arrangements in my life. I still have guests coming up to me and telling me how gorgeous the flowers were! What I love most is that she doesn't just recreate a Pintrest pin but creates something even better and more personalized. We really loved sunflowers and blue thistles, and Sue brought them together in the most beautiful and elegant way. She made my bouquet extra special by wrapping it with a bow tie for my father, the flower girls' crowns were adorable, and the bridesmaids bouquets were stunning and contrasted with their dresses perfectly. If you want amazing flowers for your event, you want Sue. She makes the whole process so easy and stress free! read more

Susan is such a nice florist, she's professional and on point. The flowers were so fresh and pretty, our guests and us really adored her work. We wanted to say thank you again, and highly recommend Garden Party. read more

WOW!! I honestly cannot say enough wonderful things about Susan and her work. I will try to not gush, but no promises. To summarize-Book her, book her, book her!! You cannot possibly make a better choice. Now for the details, we met Susan in January at the winery where my fiance and I were to be married. Susan came prepared with many pictures and thoughts on what would work for the venue as well as our simple and classical approach. When I explained to Susan that I was interested in hot pink flowers to complement the navy blue bridesmaids dresses, she assured me that those colors would be available and excellent in August (our wedding time). There were a few centerpiece and accent flower ideas that I had at our first meeting which did not pan out (they were not flower related). Susan was incredibly receptive to all ideas that my fiance and I had, but more importantly we wanted to convey our desire that she do HER work and do what she does best. I remember her eyes lighting up when I told her how serious I was about her having free reign. That was when we knew Susan was the one for us. As the months rolled on, we tossed around about a hundred different table designs and ideas via email. Susan must have revised our proposal a dozen times. When I finally found the tiniest vases on the planet, which I of course had to have, Susan loved the idea. She embraced my ideas while still making them functional and within our budget at every point. We knew heading into the wedding date that Susan knew exactly what we wanted. We showed up on Susan's doorstep 2 days before the wedding with a box of tiny vases, all in their crazy wrapping straight from crate and barrel. Susan informed us that she had been at the market overnight (!) and had a great idea for our tables. Two days before the wedding, she's still coming up with ideas and changing stuff up!! I said I trust you implicitly-go for it. When I got to the winery on the day of, if Susan had been there, I would have cried immediately-everything was BEAUTIFUL!!!!!! The huge floral urns for our ceremony were about as big as I am (picture has been uploaded). The tables were each done in a single type of flower in the little differently shaped vases-roses, orchids, etc. She remembered my favorite flower (from our meeting in January) and wound them into our candleabras at each table. My bridesmaids bouquets were so elegant and beautiful. My bouquet must have weighed 12 pounds, it was so full of beautiful flowers. My husband looked at me during the reception and said that if there was a vendor of the day award, it would go to Susan hands-down. And he is not a flower guy, trust me. I still cannot get over how beautiful everything was and we have Susan to thank for all of that. read more

Thanks to Garden Party owner Susan Garden (yes, that is her real name!) my wedding was more beautiful then I ever could have imagined. From the very beginning she helped to guide my vision into a cohesive, stunning and affordable look for the whole wedding. She has lots of experience working with brides and helping you explore all the different options there are. She had all sorts of "Green" options for me including live growing candelabras and potted trees to transform the space outdoors where we had the ceremony. The flowers were rich, lush and very Napa Valley classic style. I felt so privliged to have a floral designer that went so far for me and put so much effort into making my day special. I would recommend her to anyone getting married in the Napa Valley or surrounding areas! read more

Garden Party - Summer Vineyard Party. Flowers by Garden Party - Florists Near Me

Planning a destination elopement is never easy, especially on a budget. But Susan from Garden Party made the event breathtaking. This review is long over due...our elopement on 10-13-14 at Calistoga Ranch was unforgettable. Several places were recommended to us by the venue and after looking at reviews and many pictures we decided on Garden Party. The one downfall was the communication...Susan did apologize for the delay in responses and it was understandable with the timing being the height of wedding season. Garden Party provided EXACTLY what I requested and envisioned. Its kind of crazy to think I have never met or even spoken to Susan by phone and she NAILED it!. Simple, classy, modern with a splash of color. She provided my bridal bouquet, boutonniere, cake flowers, aisle petals, chair pomanders, dining table decor and cave entry decor. Everything was breathtaking. Loved the varying sizes and height of the candles as well as floating candles. Love the pop of color of fuchsia. Everything played off each other so well. My guests are still talking about the amazing table to this day 6 months later. I would highly recommend Susan Garden to bedazzle your event, guarantee she will deliver an amazing decor. read more

We booked an elopement package through Calistoga ranch and it included a bouquet, boutonnière, cake flowers and rose petals from Garden Party. I have to say, the bridal bouquet blew me away. It was perfect in every way and was exactly what I was hoping for. It was heavy and substantial and super high quality - she definitely did not skimp on blooms! I'll be trying my best to dry it with silica beads because I want it to last forever. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect bouquet from the type of flowers, the color scheme and the quantity. The ribbon wrapping was also such extreme elegance. I love it! read more

Susan Garden of Garden Party Napa designed our flowers and decorations at our recent June 25th, 2016 wedding at a private winery in St. Helena (Napa Valley), CA. We had a tight budget and she worked with us on what was needed versus extra and what we could do to save where possible. Our arrangements turned out beautifully and really helped to pull our whole "rustic vineyard chic" vibe together. Susan helped with both our rehearsal dinner and our wedding. I would highly recommend working with her for all your floral needs! read more

Thank you Susan for the perfect flowers on our wedding ceremony! Susan was recommended to us through our venue and we had a call and couple of emails prior to the big day. We told Susan what we imagined and Susan was very transparent what is possible and what might be difficult (we wanted wildflowers in December). In the end, everything worked out exactly as we imagined (and even prettier) and she even brought more arrangements than we had ordered. Susan did not always respond to my mails in 1-2 days but as long as you don't stress out, Susan is pleasantly to work with. read more

Susan was absolutely fantastic to work with. My wedding took place at Charles Krug Winery in July and I am so glad I worked with Susan because the venue was a completely blank canvas and with Susan's help, the entire event was pulled together beautifully with florals, candles and her kindness! Susan was very helpful at understanding my vision (and budget) and helping make everything look beautiful on the day of the event. read more

I'm so happy that we had Susan from Garden Party as our florist! We wanted to work with her because of her high attention to detail, familiarity with our venue, and beautiful floral work. Susan made the entire process flawless and enjoyable. We met with her several times in person and on the phone to talk about how we envisioned the wedding flowers. Her patience with our questions and requests was really appreciated! She took the time to explain which flowers would be in season, always provided honest feedback, and took meticulous notes regarding our preferences/ideas. At one point, we requested to have tall ceremony arrangements towards the front of the ceremony aisle. She let us know that the wind at the specific time of day (our ceremony time was at 5pm) might cause the vases to tip and, instead, presented us with some other options while maintaining the look we had in mind for the ceremony. It was obvious that her goal was to ensure the flowers are absolutely perfect. And, they were! On the day of the wedding, she came right on time! The flowers were neatly presented in vases with water and looked very fresh. Her arrangements were even more beautiful than I had envisioned and lasted from 2pm (when they were dropped off) to the next day! Keep in mind, we used these arrangements on a 100 degree day in July for outdoor photos, an outdoor wedding, etc. She also gave great advice on how to keep the flowers fresh throughout the day and we followed that advice religiously. Organization is a big strength of hers. Corsages and other flowers were dropped off at the venue and clearly labeled. It made it easy for the wedding coordinator to quickly distribute the flowers to the correct family member. Susan also went the extra mile by placing flower petals in the fountain and wedding aisle at our wedding venue. I was pleasantly surprised by this addition because I had totally overlooked these areas. I'm super grateful because that extra detail and effort made everything even more special. Thank you, Susan for your hard work! :D read more

The quick summary: Susan and Garden Party are amazing and went way above and beyond what I ever would have expected or hoped for!! I wasn't really sure where to begin in planning the decorations for our July 5th Napa Valley wedding, and Susan offered the perfect balance of guidance and gave space and adapted to what we wanted as the vision started to take shape. She is extremely creative and knows how to bring all the pieces together beautifully. We had 110 people and a different location for the ceremony and reception and she helped make both spaces beautiful. We had large arrangements at the "altar," shepherds hook bouquets down the aisle, flower grandmas (who threw petals on the aisle), cake flowers, and decorations (candles, etc) and center pieces for each table. The wedding party's flowers were also gorgeous. Susan also created an incredibly beautiful bridal head wreath which had wrapped wire in the back so that I could adjust it to the correct size. The flowers help up great through a hot ceremony and lots of dancing. Susan also helped us with a few challenges we had at the location, including a crack in the cement near some of our guests tables that we didn't want anyone falling or getting hurt on. She helped us come up with creative and inexpensive ways to make it look good and be safe. LOVE that she provides green options like candles and potted plants. We had really unique old grape vine candelabras, candles and lanterns of all sizes, potted succulents... all adding a more interesting depth to the space and cutting down on the amount of cut flowers we needed. Overall, we were totally blown away and thrilled to have Susan work with us to make the day easy, fun and beautiful. I highly recommend her for any floral and decoration needs! read more

Garden Party is professional, creative and an uplifting floral designer. The experience my fiance had with Susan was thorough with such an attention not only to all the details (and there are a ton of details for our wedding) but to helping our creative and unique personalities and relationship really shine through on our big day. She has guided and supported us and provided helpful advice throughout the planning process that aided in making other non-floral decisions. Susan Garden, Garden Party's owner, is polite and a blast to work with from start to finish. She's fun and hip and will help make the best of your big day. If you're looking for a real professional with a wealth of experience and great ideas, you've found your florist. Thank you Susan for making our big day shine! read more

Susan Garden is a highly creative woman who made every floral detail at our wedding in Napa, CA simply amazing. Every one of our guests and those who have seen the photographs raved about the colors and the flowers. We would highly recommend Garden Party to anyone looking for extraordinary floral work. Hi all brides, I cannot say enough good things about Susan Garden's work. Susan did over 15 weddings for me this year alone and on each, the work was precise and artistic and the service impeccable. Many brides have no idea the amount of planning that goes into putting together exquisite ceremony arrangements and personal florals and the amount of elbow-grease involved in creating and delivering huge quantities of florals to a wedding for 200! Susan does it all with a smile and good humor!! No small feat. If you are looking for beautiful florals at reasonable prices, you'll be very hard pressed to find better than Garden Party. Susan is #1 on my list of recommended florists. Christina Andrews www.ChristinaAndrewsWeddings.com read more

Susan is pure magic!!! I could not be more pleased with the floral arrangements Susan and her team did for our Wedding this past weekend. I gave her little direction besides I wanted " simple yet classy" and with that she created the most beautiful floral backdrops for our outdoor wedding. Our wedding was smaller in size, about 115 guests, and Susan designed the arrangements, bouquets and boutonnieres perfectly!! I can not say enough positive things about Susan and her work!!! I was definitely one very happy bride, and a major part of that was seeing all the beauty that was created thanks to Susan. read more

Garden Party was a pre-selected vendor in my wedding package at Calistoga Ranch. The owner, Susan Garden (yes, that is really her name), was friendly, patient, and flexible. Although she appeared unresponsive in the beginning as a result of busy wedding season, she tried her best to accommodate my every request. She would also work with you to minimize unnecessarily costs even though I opted to upgrade several things. The candle lightings and centerpieces were beautiful at the reception and my bridal bouquet came with all the flowers and designs per my request. However, my reason for not giving a 5-star review was that there were some minor decorative details missing from the reception per initial discussions and few flowers in my bouquet began to wilt in about 2 - 3 hours or so into the event even though the weather was somewhat cooler on that day (low 60s). Not sure if some of the flowers were not handled properly beforehand or mediocre quality due to almost off season. I was a bit disappointed since I paid premium for some nice flowers for my bouquet. The groom's boutonniere also did not last and the flower used was not a good match to my bouquet and appeared a bit "cheap" IMO. Sadly, she also did not respond to my follow-up e-mail afterward. read more

After vetting a few preferred florists in the Napa area, we began working with Susan in early 2013 in advance of our October 2013 wedding. Despite the important topic of budget (which, by the way, Susan is extremely reasonable for the beautiful work she does), it was Susan's demeanor, interest, and personality that won us over. She was quick to understand our vision and offered wonderful suggestions along the way (ex: a tray full of lavender to hold the escort cards...who would have thought of that?! Not me). She was also friendly and enjoyable to work with. She even welcomed a visit from my out-of-town mother who wanted to sit down in-person to discuss the flowers. And that meeting only made us love Susan more! But it wasn't until the wedding day when the bouquets arrived that the WHOA factor hit. Gorgeous beyond words and beyond my vision. From the bouquets, to the ceremony site with aisle petals and a floral arch, to the cocktail tables' floating flowers and the dinner tables' exquisite centerpieces...No words. Hire Susan. Your pictures will thank you. read more

Susan did an amazing job on the flowers for my ceremony at V. Sattui! I'm thankful she was easy enough to work with that she didn't mind my mom doing the flowers for the reception (which I was having a lot of trouble with from other people). Anyways I knew exactly what I wanted, sent Susan pictures and crossed my fingers that she would do a great job! I got my bouquet before our first glance pictures and it was perfect! When I got to V. Sattui she was setting up the flowers and the rose petals for the aisle. It looked good then but when I walked down that aisle the flowers all looked amazing! Everything looked as good as the pictures I sent her and some things looked better! Her prices were very reasonable, she definitely does flowers because she loves what she does and she is very good at what she does! I've already asked Susan to do an arrangement for me since the wedding which was Valentine's weekend of this year! I would highly recommend her and would definitely use her again! read more

Susan Garden provided the florals for our wedding in Sonoma. They were beyond beautiful!! We had a medium/large wedding so there were bouquets, table pieces, and flowers for the ceremony. I had to plan a wedding in four weeks due to a family illness. For two of those weeks, I was traveling in Asia and for two I was on the East Coast. My communications with Susan were either by phone or email, mainly with me pointing to particular arrangements on her website to tell her what "style" I liked. I walked into the wedding with no opportunity to know what I'd be getting and IT. WAS. STUNNING. Susan understood exactly what I had in mind, on our chuppah, my bouquet, the centerpieces, at the place settings, and even on the cake. She was familiar with the venue and made sure that the flower arrangements (size, shape, color) worked well in the space and with the lighting. I'd also had a family prayer shawl used on the chuppah and she made sure to put it personally back in my hands after the ceremony. Highly recommended! read more

Wonderful flowers in a perfect combinstion of purple, green, magenta and white for our rehearsal dinner. They fit the site exactly as they should in scale. Susan did the florals for my wedding in Saint Helena (including the boutonnieres and bouquets for the the wedding party) on June 18, 2011. She was so great to work with. She listened to our preferences of flowers and style, even when didn't see anything that we exactly liked in her portfolio, she understood completely the style we wanted and translated it perfectly into beautiful centerpieces and bouquets. She was very organized and professional and everything turned out perfectly! We only met once in person (since my husband and I live on the east coast), but she really took the lead after understanding our style and made everything come together. She also recommended to us that we get two large pieces on pedestals to put at the back of the would-be altar, and they really pulled everything together. One last thing - she was so nice and customer service oriented - way better to work with than when we tried to call some of the more expensive bridal florists in the area who were extremely rude to us. Susan Garden of Garden Party is a fantastic floral designer and a wonderful vendor to deal with during wedding planning. She's so calm and mellow -- but also very attentive to details. We planned a wedding and rehearsal dinner from a long distance, and both came out exactly as we'd dreamed. Susan also brought us great ideas -- including substituting a beautiful large format bottle of wine for a guest book for our guests to sign, and making the rehearsal dinner bouquets easily transportable so our guests could take them home and enjoy them over the weekend. Susan also managed to make the different flowers reflect the different feels of each event -- from a folksy sunflower-based rehearsal dinner to an abundant, romantic, totally gorgeous silver and purple theme for the centerpieces and accents at the wedding. She created the most fantastic chuppah using a base made of grape vines, and her attention to detail extended to the flower girl's basket and perfumed petals for spreading. Her budget was fair and she stuck to it, and her attitude was always positive and sunny. We loved working with her. Thanks for the opportunity to share this. read more
