Jarita's on Tinker St. in Woodstock is tiny- but don't be fooled by this minimalist- yet intimate spot because there's more than meets the eye. Jay who owns Jarita's, has a loyal fanbase and after 40+ years in town, that says a lot. And prices are respective to the area. Besides the gorgeous fresh arrangements he (and his team?) design(s), he carries dry florals, Lavender, handmade flower post cards and other gift items. This seemed to be incredibly popular, and people waited for quite a while to purchase it, so it must be good! There were countless flavors available, and all of them sounded very good. Never realized this was a framing place until recently, when I actually needed to frame a bunch of…read moreitems and did a search online. It blends right into the other small antique shops on Partition St, as they have a large collection of decorative iron hooks and door knockers outside when they're open. They also have other antiques available inside. The shop is run 100% by the couple that owns it, and they do all the framing themselves. I brought them probably 5-10 items these last few weeks and they were very helpful in picking out frames. Prices were very fair, and they were able to find solutions when what we picked turned out to be too expensive. Everything was done within a reasonable amount of time as well. I don't have much time else left to frame, however I will go out of my way to use these guys again!
