(not their fault, just corporate policy) I called Winslette in a panic because my in-laws needed a drug asap. They let me set up the account on the phone, got the scrip transferred for me and got it delivered same day. This was a huge help and put my mind at ease.They were very kind and took a lot of stress out of it for me. If you are a caregiver from afar, I strongly recommend you give Winslette a try. I (37, female) was a customer of Winslette Pharmacy since I moved into the neighborhood from early 2019- 6/7/2024, about 5 years. We've been through a pandemic together.    Winslette Pharmacy has a lot of good amenities and good attributes, but as a "practice" do not treat all their "patients" equally or act in their all of their best interests and if you find yourself requiring less of their services (be it because your health is improving and you need less prescriptions or your employer clinic gives you some medications at no cost to you) you will eventually be deemed not worthy of their time and asked to find another pharmacy.   ‍Overall I chose to go to Winslette Pharmacy because they are a local family business and as long as they're treating everyone fairly with respect then fantastic. I had never heard of wrongdoings by them. I didn't love that they use religious symbolism in their marketing but I had never felt judged or unwelcome there and I never felt like they were being evangelical or pushy with their beliefs so that was not an issue for me. Eventually they betrayed my trust by telling me to take my business elsewhere after stringing me along for six months. After having called an hour earlier to check if my medicine (one in shortage and high demand) was in stock and being told it wasn't I called back because the FDA shortage page listed my medicine as available. I was then told it was no longer being carried by them and was put through to the pharmacist:   I can't go word for word for the majority of my conversation with the pharmacist on this part because what he proceeded to tell me shocked me so badly that I just couldn't process it fast enough, frankly I may have asked him for clarification in a couple of different ways because I thought there was some misunderstanding and I was seeking to clear it up--- but I do very clearly remember him saying,  ‍"Ms. Robinson I'm sorry you don't like what I have to say about this, but we are not making enough money from you to supply this medication to you and we aren't taking new customers for this medication. We're able to supply it to our long standing customers but not you."  ‍"I'm not a new customer I've been coming here for years," I say incredulous, "I've been trying to get this for months from you, calling weekly."  ‍"But you don't get your maintenance prescriptions or any others here so it isn't worth it and we're loosing money on it so it's our policy to now only sell this medication to people who have already been getting it here and do business here,"  he said--yikes.    How long were they going to keep stringing me along on the phone, holding onto my prescription?   I had been calling devotedly for months at their suggestion to do so!   When did they decide I wasn't worth it anymore?  If I hadn't called back with more questions because I happened to check the FDA website today, when were they going to tell me about this "policy change?"  How long has this policy been in effect?   How long have they just been putting me off with the medicine available? Frankly, I wouldn't have been so upset if this had been handled differently. At no point was there a notice sent to me that there was a new, impending policy that would directly impact me, my medication, and my health. There was no call, no text, no letter, postcard, or even post on their social media nor sign on their door or drive through window.  ‍ There was no good faith "Hey these specific medications are harming our business because *insert reason here* and we can't keep supplying them to our customers"  ‍ No Siree.‍ Heck-- someone could have been forthcoming during ANY of my calls these past SIX months. If I hadn't called back--the same day-- an hour later with more bothersome questions taking up their valuable time, HOW LONG would I have been strung along with degrading hope and health. Also--- How many other people has this happened to?!?!  Edit: If this looks familiar but very different, I posted the whole review on the Rome GA Reddit and am about to add this version of it to Google reviews (both Google Reviews and Yelp have much smaller word counts than Reddit). What's different on this version: it cuts out A LOT of personal story, context, guessing work, a ton of entertaining emojiis and a bit of pettiness. I have reported her to management who informed me that she would not apologize for hanging up on me and for not identifying who she was even though I knew her first name. It seems that customer service is lacking from this individual. I have never had any issues with other employees. Everyone else has been very helpful and responsive.

The last straw was when my doctor called in refills for my medications and all of them were filled at Kroger except one. The Xanax had been rerouted to a CVS that I had never been to. I spoke to Amy in person and she said she would take care of it. She never did a thing. I had to call and talk to a pharmacist who was able to track it down and was unable to figure out how the prescription had gotten there.

CVS may not list letters in their prescription numbers, but The Prescription Shop in Calhoun does. Attempting to transfer the script a much older prescription that was not by the same doctor, not that anyone here had the ability to actually contact my doctor. It was decided that a replacement script would be used because the medication name was the same. Of course the dosage was 50% different and times daily twice the amount. This location is not interested in ensuring the correct script is filled. Getting it close is their goal. Requesting my discount card to be used was ignored and the total was over twice of The Prescription Shops price out of Calhoun. Informing CVS will be ignored and no one will correct the issue online. That would require someone at CVS to care that one of thour elderly may die due to their neglect.

I did not receive the prescription, nor was I provided any information saying that the prescription had been shipped or delivered. I received several other msgs. indicating the the medication could be recorded. Then the final messages was informing me that the prescription was being placed back on the shelf on July 3, 2024. I called and inquired about it and started that I had never received the medication and had not reordered because it was not effective. I asked for a tracking number as d delivery day. The pharmacist confirmed that it was shipped via USPS to an address several houses down and that they would not refund a transaction due to the age and that I would have had to make the inquiry within 14 days. This was an interstate order and delivery. I was unable to confirm the tracking number with the USPS or UPS. They refused to refund the purchase price and would not provide any information about the pharmacy oth3 than the pharmacist first name. she refused to provide her last name so that I would have a reference for the information that I received. r
