Previous doc walked in, looked at my chart, wrote new scrips (high BP) and if I wanted to discuss anything else, make an appointment! Dr. Bob discussed my family medical history- parents, grandparents, uncles, aunts, and siblings. Only then did he proceed with a thorough exam, Rx review, and due to history of heart problems, gave me an EKG right there in his office and went over it with me before I left. If I call them sick, they have never failed to see that same day. If something comes up last minute and I can't make a scheduled appt. I have never been charged. I have gone in for check ups and before leaving, he would say "Anything else we need to look at today?" and I would tell him about a concern I was having and he would come back and check this out, too. I don't just consider him my doctor, I think of him as my friend. And lest you assume I was paid to write this, he has too much integrity to even think of asking a patient to do that!

I read that the overgrowth can go systemic, into the bloodstream and into organs. I never mentioned in my original post that I had recently had a horrible sore throat that seemed to go into my esophagus - never had anything like this before - and it wasn't going completely away. Trouble swallowing. Medical doctor did bloodwork and I was negative for Covid antibodies. I am convinced that the patch in my lung is from the candida, which can cause pneumonia. In addition I do not want to take anti-fungal drugs so I am following a strict protocol of attempting to eliminate the overgrowth. Dr. Jim told me the foods I was allowed to eat and that it could take a number of weeks to get my body back to where it should be. I was too dizzy to drive to my regular doctor and so I had to wait two days And then go, but I have an infection and why these people can't see it because they didn't. they did not test me or the test were no good and they shouldn't ask somebody that's non-medical what to be tested for I'm very displeased with this location is the one on Turner McCall Boulevard in Rome, Georgia. Don't waste your time. Don't waste your money. They got plenty of workers comp people coming in. I guess that's how they stay afloat cause if you need help you gotta go somewhere else.. I'm serious. I want to be very clear on that. I'm sad I won't be seeing him again due to other people employed there. My insurance company tried to get in touch for two weeks regarding a claim, and left many voicemails. They were never returned, so my insurance company asked me if I could follow up. I called and sent a message through their patient portal. I did talk to a person who I think was a PA or something. He answered nothing, didn't get my patient info, and I was put on hold for 20 mins, and then was hung up on. I called back and another staff member said this person had gone to see a patient while I was on hold. That's just wrong and disrespectful. I should have been valued as a patient as well. I called back again a few days later and talked to this same person again and he said he would set up a time to talk to them. That did not ever happen. My insurance company ended up denying my claim because they never got the information they needed. It was a good bit of money, and that affected my ability to get ongoing care. It's really unacceptable that a doctor's office affects your health negatively.
