Garden Gate Flowers - I asked for something bright and cheery that said congratulations and I requested lilies. She killed it! Stunning - Florists Near Me - Saint Joseph, Missouri

Garden Gate Flower Shop did a great job on creating two flower sprays & the cost was reasonable that I ordered for my father's funeral, but it was such an UNEXPECTED surprise! Please let me tell you why...Because I live out of state I couldn't get to the Flower Shop until 3 days before the funeral, which included the weekend, to order the funeral flowers. It was short notice for the order and the Owner Stacy said she could get all of the flowers EXCEPT for the white spider mums and the red gerbera daisies. I had a picture of the flower spray on my phone that I wanted, and in my opinion, the spider mums and the red gerbera daisies along with the red roses were what made this spray especially beautiful and without them it would not stand out as I had hoped! I sadly accepted the fact that Stacy would have to substitute the spider mums and the red gerberas with similar flowers and I was truly disappointed when I left the shop that day. To make matters worse, later that afternoon I called Stacy at the flower shop and asked if she could add an additional ribbon to the spray that had, "Great Papa" written on it. She told me she could add a ribbon that had "Great Grandpa" written on it (one that she already had in her shop) but her employee who made the ribbons was ill & so I couldn't get the specialized ribbon. Again, I was very disappointed. So, on the day of the funeral, TO MY GREAT SURPRISE, I walked into the funeral home to see the most beautiful red and white flower casket spray and vertical spray on & near my father's casket that included the white spider mums and the red gerbera daisies! And to top it off the third ribbon on the casket spray had "Great Papa" written on it just as I had requested. I was elated and very thankful - Stacy pulled off what seemed impossible by calling around to several florists to get the flowers I wanted as well as the special ribbon! Thank you, Stacy! You added a bit of happiness to the sad event of my father's death. Cindy Harshman Cooley. Funeral for Harold Harshman on 04/26/2025. read more

I love this floral shop because they never disappoint. I like to order flowers for my mom and until I discovered Garden Gate, the quality of the flowers was unreliable. It's hard when you don't live in the community and aren't familiar with the local shops. Garden Gate arrangements are fresh, happy, and pretty. read more

Though the service was ok, as a past florist and floral instructor, the bouquet was not up to value for the $ spent. I was not happy!

Garden Gate is always my go to florist when calling in an arrangement for my mother in law. Being that my husband and I live in California, we like to send her flowers every so often to remind her she is loved and thought about. During my order process today, Stacy at Garden Gate went above and beyond to help me design my flower arrangement I had in my mind for my mother in law. Not only did she listen to wishes and note what my vision was (a soft white, wintery arrangement) but she and her team at Garden Gate executed it beyond anything I could have ever imagined! It is JAW DROPPING stunning! The flower arrangement was absolutely stunning! Every single time I place an order with Garden Gate, they always accommodate my requests as best as they can and always follow through. Their flower arrangements are always truly one of a kind masterpieces! As for my order today, I decided last minute to send my mother in law flowers, and they were so kind to fit me into their already busy Friday delivery schedule. Thank you so, so much, Garden Gate, for always going above and beyond for all of your clients! Your beautiful work speaks for itself, and I wish so much there was a florist like you in California! You are truly the best of the best! read more

I highly recommend Garden Gate. My best friend of 30 + years had a special event, and because I live on the East coast, the flowers I sent had to covey my feelings. I am very picky about floral arrangements. It took only a 3 minute conversation with the florist here for me to know their ideas are unique, and their taste is excellent. The arrangement they crafted for my friend was gorgeous, and it turns out, Garden Gate is always my friend's first choice! read more
