Don't get me wrong, there's an excellent restaurant at my hotel, and they've taken good care of me and my colleagues, but the menu choices are somewhat limited, and you go through them all in a week time. Then what a man to do? Take a quarter hour short taxi ride to a nearby Euroma2 shopping mall. Walk around and see if you like any place in particular. Stumble upon Da Chicco, announcing Cusina Tipica Romana. Try yelping it up without success. Create a new listing for this business. And then, you see the 'Il Cliente ha sempre ragione' display (in more detail below), and realize it's time to settle down and have dinner. As long as you adhere to the main principles of the below included statement, your dinner is a guaranteed success. Yes, the menu choices are quite typical here, confined to regular Roman cuisine. We shared a variety of small plates with antipasti, including salami, various cold cuts, prosciutto, olives, and cheese. For main course, ordered a Margherita pizza, pasta Rigatoni a' carbonara (Rigatoni, egg, bacon, Parmesan, pecorino cheese, pepper, olive oil), and seared chicken breast with potato Arrosto. Everything was satisfactory and the time flew by fast. The customer is always right: If there is time consuming, if has not alleged absurd, if has respect for our work, if not consider us his servants, if has our same patience, if has our same courtesy, if not asks for discounts, but especially ... If you pay in cash. From the primi and minestre pasta and soup menu Rigatoni a' carbonara €9,00 uovo, guanciale, parmegiano, pecorino, pepe (egg, bacon, Parmesan, pecorino cheese, pepper) Margherita pizza - Pinsa Margherita €7,50 Pomodoro, mozzarella, olio, basilico (Tomato, mozzarella, olive oil, Basel)

Euroma 2 is a mall that is located on the southern edge of Rome. I was here for work, otherwise I probably would have stayed closer to center of Rome. Still, the food was amazing and the service was good. I would highly recommend getting their pizzas as they have the best pizza crust. We also tried their Calzone which was decent, and their Pasta carbonara was great. Oh my next trip to Rome for work, I'll probably make it a point to stop by Da Chicco again.

We were not sure what to expect on our first visit but we surely left the place after eating all our food. The Aglio, Olio, Pepperoncino spaghetti and ox tail soups were great. The garlic was well infused in their dish as well. The owner, Roberto was very gracious as well as the waitress that helped us. It was indeed a pleasure dining in this restaurant and we will definitely be back the next time we visit Rome.

This is a real local trattoria type of place, quite cozy, certainly less touristy, a quiet and comfortable restaurant frequented by locals. If you want to experience real Italian homemade cooking, this is where you come. We were greeted and seated right away. Aglio Orio e Peperoncino not only sounds romantic, it has also very much welcoming ambience inside, with friendly and efficient service. Wall decor includes large photos of famous Italian cinema icons like Anna Magnani, Monica Vitti, Alberto Sordi, and Marcello Mastroianni. I've got a vague understanding of their menu and gathered that your dinner options here vary greatly depending on the alignment of many factors, owner's creativity included. Just like home, already! -:) If available, you have to order Ossobuco here. It's braised veal shanks mixed with veggies and sautéed in white wine (in Bianco) or with tomatoes and carrots (which turns out a completely different dish, in my humble opinion). We had white version and loved it. It's hearty and delicious! I've got no photos because of the connectivity issues and discharged phone battery, as I also use my phone for work and conference meetings, sorry - maybe next time.

The atmosphere is warm and welcoming,…read moreand the staff truly elevate the meal by offering samples throughout the evening and creating a friendly, lively mood. The food was AMAZING. My family and I started with the prosciutto and buffalo goat cheese served with oil and pepper, which was my favorite part of the entire meal. We also ordered a pretty good vegetable lasagna, a chicken dish with a delicious sauce, and two gnocchi dishes, including a carbonara-style one. Everything came out quickly, and there were unique items displayed around the restaurant that you could try and buy, which made the experience even more fun. We were so full from the appetizer that we only ate about half of the gnocchi. The owner noticed and kindly refunded those dishes, saying we should not pay for something we barely touched. That level of thoughtfulness is rare and left a huge impression on us. Overall, Masto is an amazing restaurant with fantastic food, quick service, and some of the kindest staff you will ever meet. I would DEFINITELY recommend it to anyone visiting Rome.
