I visited the practice in search of a new PCP that was closer to my home. Since I already had my annual checkup for the year, I went twice, both for sick visits for a persistent cough and then for a suspected flu. I saw Dr. Garber both times, since she was available for the day of. I didn't get a great vibe from the start. The facilities were old, all paper files, and the reception area was slow. In any case, I was hoping the doctor visit would be good, but unfortunately it also disappointed. The first time, I felt rushed when asking questions, spent most of my time waiting for the doctors, and only got about 5 min of face time. I was prescribed some meds, but in the end they did not help me, and my doctor friend suggested I try a different route to cure the cough, and it worked immediately! For the second visit, the visit was the same in terms of waiting, face time with the doctor, and feeling rushed with my questions. The only good thing was that I got tested and confirmed for the flu, so I got a prescription for tamiflu, which helped with recovery.
Basically, if it isn't for the need for an emergency visit, I'd likely go elsewhere in hopes for a better visit. read more
