just wanted to share our great experience here at the Garage Grill at the Herriman location... my daughter and 2 grandkids had the best time and had the pleas of being served by Hunter she was delightful and had the best smile and so endearing w us as well as patient w our 2 and 6 yr old kid.. she just made us feel at home and comfortable... a real genuine girl who obviously loves her job and we so appreciated her... and as always the food was amazing ! This restaurant takes themed dining to the next level -- the interior is completely decked out and with car/garage memorabilia and there are even some cool cars to look at while you eat. They have the friendliest staff ever and I was mind blown at how quick the service was! I blinked and our food was already in front of us. The food itself was good, but their home fries were the star of the show. They were perfectly crisp and nicely seasoned. Ummm yes please! It is so rare to find a place that has such a diverse menu that'll please me and my husband. This place was perfect for both of us. I got the La Sarthe black & bleu burger. It was incredibly flavorful. This wasn't an ordinary hamburger place, this was a culinary quality burger with so many layers of flavor. My husband got a big block cheesesteak and their house ale. Will, Our server was excellent, just the right amount of checking and leaving us alone. The atmosphere was everything. Such a unique and fun place! A large group of us stopped by here for lunch after a hike with our dogs. Their patio was still a little chilly, and they were going to set the heaters up for us, but found us a table inside away from the main tables and next to the patio instead where the dogs could hang out. The menu here is HUGE! We were all starving and overwhelmed by the options, because everything look SO good. I got their veggie wrap and fries, which was delicious. A few of the friends I was with have been here several times, and assured me that everything on the menu they've ordered has always been amazing. They have some unique options here too, like sushi nachos! The only reason I'm giving 4 stars is because the service was pretty slow. This is expected usually with a large party when everyone is getting separate checks, but we were sitting around waiting for both our food and our checks for quite some time. I will definitely be back next time I'm in the area - it's a great spot, has a great patio area in the warmer weather, and a classic, delicious menu. read more

Oh my goodness!! Pleasantly surprised at all the yummy options here!! We had the Red hummus, a bit of spice pita, carrots, cucumber,celery and baby tomatoes . Delicious!! I also enjoyed a FRESH! Shrimp cocktail . Did I mention the shrimp were fresh?! Normally I don't do this but i did enjoy a cocktail , a SCREECHING TIRE . After 4 years I thought I would give it another go with some friends. We ordered the spinach dip which isn't like a traditional dip, more runny, but was still good. The sandwich I got was interesting. It had honey on it with avocado. I wasn't a huge fan of the combo. I have an extra star for today's visit because our service was great!!! Went here for the first time when family was in town visiting and they really have something for everyone! The family loved all the vintage cars and racing memorabilia. It's a fun restaurant experience. We had eight people with us and were quickly seated without a long wait. We asked to be seated outside even though there wasn't anyone out there and they were super generous to accommodate us. The view from the patio is amazing and there was a nice breeze. The salads are hearty and the burgers and fries are huge. Kids meals are great. Our server was amazing and literally gave my husband about 10 refills on his soda without being asked. Waited almost 30 mins and all we ordered is just burgers. Dude, this is Monday evening and there were only a few customers. The waiting time is not acceptable. Additionally, we tried their new menu and the burger tastes just okay for the price. The Hot Lap was too spicy to eat. Please improve your food quality. Normally, I would chalk this up to people having a bad day and try to ignore it. But it literally set a bad mood for our New Years Eve and I think management should be aware. I was frankly appalled by the poor service in this restaurant. They need to train their servers. Our server was not friendly, and even though the place was pretty dead, acted like he was in a gigantic rush. I mentioned that I used to have a mug and asked if they still do that and he basically dissed me and walked away, right after he argued with me over the fact that they used to sell other brands of beer in bottles. Our food sat in the window until a different server brought half of it over. She stood at one the end of the table and literally passed hot plates across everyone without mentioning they were really warm. I almost dropped mine out of surprise when it was thrusted at me. Why she didn't walk to the other side of the table is beyond me, either lazy or poor training. When I was surprised at the hot plate she didn't even apologize, just walked away. I used to come here all the time, but the food doesn't make up for the experience we had. Years ago there servers were top notch and even the manager would come up and ask how your meal was. it seems like a different place. read more

My first time coming to this place, it was one of my close bro's birthday and a group of 18 of us came to enjoy his birthday, they accommodated us, and we only had to wait for a able for 1.5 hours and that's okay since we were a large group. After getting seated; we all ordered our drinks and appetizers. Our server was very friendly, and she really took the time to explain everything and helped a lot of us pick what we wanted. She was wonderful and fast and very attentive. But.......After the food arrived, that is when the service sucked. She barely came around; we had to get up 4 times to go find her ourselves to have her refill drinks and order something else, this was really sad, because at first she was great; I am not sure why she changed how she was taking care or us. Let's talk about the food: unfortunately the food was basic and the taste of the food wasn't that great; at first I thought it was just me, until most of the table said they we're disappointed in how the food tasted. The food was mediocre and I for one was extremely disappointed, I wanted better tasting food. The restaurant was beautiful inside and all the beautiful cars was epic; most of us are car lovers and being able to check all these cars out and have some fun taking pictures and talking about these cars was great. I won't lose hope; I will try this place again and see if my experience is better. I am giving this place a 4, because of the way the service became after our food was placed on our table, and for the taste of the food; I wanted to give it a 3 but I'm holding out hope that next time our experience will be better. Freaking good burger and fries. I ordered the Laguna Seca Burger and it did not disappoint. Very rarely do I encounter a burger that does not require any sauces to add flavor. The garlic created a tasty beef patty all on its own. Very fresh and a great-sized portion for the price. I tried some other burgers around the table and the garlic is for sure my favorite. It takes you on a flavorful drive that has a bit more pleasurable stops than the other burgers. The fries and fry sauce complimented it all perfectly. Great find for sure. read more

Garage Grill - Laguna Seca Burger - New American Near Me - Draper, Utah

As much as I love cars, having grown up in the 80s, which proved to be the post-zenith period for car culture (which is now pretty much dead entirely, despite popular interest in things like the Roadkill or Rust Restorers shows), I always get super leery whenever a restaurant is themed after them, as most of the time, the place gets caught up in the decor and seems to feel that the ambiance will supplant any food deficiencies (of which there are often many). Not so this place, happy to report. It does have a very eclectic and confusing menu, with stuff you'd see in a bbq restaurant one on page and things like sushi (which I'm definitely not daring enough to attempt here) on another. There are what appears to be actual functioning cars on various lifts inside the restaurant as well, so if you've ever wanted to eat under a car, for whatever reason, it is at least possible here. I very much do not, but did admire the fact that many of the cars appear to be actually functional as well, with various components intact. I don't know if the engines are bricked or not, but it did not appear to be the case, which itself is unusual for these places. Most of the time you will see, at most, the front clip, along with some doors or bumpers. Here it is the entire car, which I think also possibly rotates. Everything is themed around cars and vehicles generally, so you wind up with stuff like piston rings for onion rings and Watkins Glen nachos and so on. To be frank, a lot of it is pretty silly, but I suppose if you shoot for charming and miss, one can at least note the effort. I ordered the shishitos, given my longstanding tradition of always ordering those anytime I see them on a menu and here, they came undercooked. This probably should be taken off the menu until they can go to any of the Tsunami locations to see how this should actually be done, not that it's particularly complicated. I got the BBQ pork sandwich, which was a bit sloppy, but otherwise fine and yes, I was absolutely playing it safe with that. I think I also got the sweet potato fries, but they also may have been the regular ones, don't recall specifically now, but my general impression was that they were similarly fine. I'm giving this a 4, both with how incredibly themed and laid out this place is, as well as the extensive menu. I saw a lot of food go to other tables and it all looked pretty good. The menu, as noted, is huge and I'd realistically need to go maybe another 4 or 5 times to be truly confident as to the feel of it, but everyone I saw at the restaurant seems to care about the entire experience, which is one of those intangibles that one can recognize immediately. I don't know that it is going to make it to a 5, as the menu strikes me as way too diverse for any kitchen to do everything well, but, again, if they shoot for great and only hit very good, that is going to put them head and shoulders above 75 - 80 percent of everything else out there and those places are good to have around. This is in an area I rarely get to, so repeat visits will be infrequent at best, but I'm absolutely not opposed to the idea, either. read more

The service was exceptional and our server (Bryan) was very kind and loved small talk. The whole vibe of the place is very Race Car theme which is pretty cool. My family and I visited Garage Grill for a double birthday celebration and throughly enjoyed our visit. Garage Grill is set at the end of a strip mall and is a lot bigger inside than it appears on the outside. Once inside the decor is set up with cars and vehicles around the restaurant, just like you were in a garage. The menu is large and had many items that looked appetizing. Some if the items that we ended up getting are the Totchos, Brisket Nachos, Onion Rings, Double Shrimp, Jambalaya, Lettuce Wraps, Sushi Nachos with Crab, Brisket Mac & Cheese, and a few more items. Although I enjoyed most of what I sampled everything seemed to be a bit on the spicy side. Personally I real enjoyed the totchos, sushi nachos, double shrimp, and Mac and cheese. The Mac and cheese seemed to have a smoke taste throughout, not sure if it was due to the meat or if the noodles or sauce are smoked?? Overall I would recommend trying Garage Grill and will more than likely be back to try something else. read more

Went here years ago & wasn't thrilled about the food, it was so so. A family member had a birthday dinner here Saturday night so we tried it again. Service was very slow but friendly. The menu is too large. The menu items were all over the place. Someone at my table said the sushi was good there. I ordered their version of a Playboy roll & the shishito peppers app. The peppers were great but I did not like them w the sweet chili sauce. The roll was $18.00 & not worth it. It was basic, & the rice tasted/looked like long grain white rice, not sushi rice. It didn't stick together. I did not like the beer menu at all. The Garage Grill definitely has a lot to see if you're a car or motorcycle person. I also liked that they had a waiting room prior to seating you. As others have mentioned the menu choices are vast. You can go with a larger group and still find something for everyone. My wife and I enjoyed the beer flight, it was nice to have a small tasting of 4 different beers. I didn't like the Mexican style beer much but the other 3 were very good. At the suggestion of our waiter we ordered the whisky burger, and the hot honey chicken. Both were very good. You can order fries, onion rings, sweet potato fries, or Mac-n-cheese balls. I recommend the Mac-n-cheese balls. The food was all hot and delicious. Family gathering as I was visiting from California. 6 adults and two little guys, my great nephews. Our Waitress was "Des" she took our drink order and immediately took care of the boys serving them first. Smart waitress. We ordered our entrees, everything was good and tasty.
