I ended up having to finish the project myself and expend more funds as a result. The owner/contractor never answered my texts inquiring when he would be returning to complete the work. I sent him a bill for my expenses to finish the job and he never paid it or acknowledged receiving it. Nor has he volunteered to refund money paid up front for work not finished. Some of his work wasn't very good so I had to correct that too. I give this company one BIG ZERO for a rating. I don't care what past good ratings he's gotten. If you hire him don't pay him everything in the beginning even if he says that's his way because in the past he's been stiffed by customers not paying the full bill at the end. Yelp should not sponsor Backwoods Handymen.

David was by the far the most knowledgeable about all things roofing & siding. We had lots of different questions throughout the process and David was always able to give us good honest feedback. His crew was on-time, moved quickly, and had our entire house done in about 30 days. They were great at cleaning things up every day after they finished their jobs and were able to pivot quickly when the job required it (we added additional windows to be replaced half-way through their work). Oh and I should mention that David's pricing was fantastic. I would highly recommend David Anderson and his team for anything roofing & siding related. They're awesome!

They were on time,…read morevery thorough and cleaned up everything about the ducts and vent covers so that it all looked brand new. Jason and John were polite, courteous, professional and did more than what was promised by cleaning an extra couple vents that were not part of the work requested. Today, my wife found an old Mercury car trunk key that we didn't even know we had lost 20 years ago, sitting on an end table in the living room where they cleaned 3 ducts. Our only guess is they found the key in one of the ducts and laid it on the end table for us. The clue was the keyhole was filled with duct dust! So very considerate of them. I recommend Early's to anyone wanting superior service and a good value for the money.

I liked that the owner was personally present much of the time. I talked to a few of his crew and it is obvious that they have a good bit of experience working with wood floors. We are very happy with the finished product. These next comments don't relate to Tony's Floors... but you might find them helpful. We were not prepared for the smell. In retrospect, I wish we had booked a hotel room for about four nights. The house was a mess with sawdust everywhere. Orlando did a good job of taping up plastic and wrapping chandeliers and lights, but over time, some of that tape gave away and opened up. Then the smell of the stain and polyurethane is overwhelming. We stayed in our room, put towels under the door and opened with windows... but not pleasant. Then be prepared, you cannot walk on floors for several days. We were able to build a bridge using a ladder and a 2 x 12 board, but we got lucky. So prepare ahead of time, take everything you will need and book a hotel room. Finally, be ready to clean even after Orlando and crew complete their clean. They did a good job, but no way to easily remove the dust in every area. It's the reality. At the end, our floors look great and it was worth it, but it's not a simple, easy project.

On the scheduled day, they phoned to cancel because their measuring person had an emergency. I understand emergencies, but no apology. They came, measured the next week. (I'll add here the measuring person told me liquid Kilz could be applied to the concrete floor where my daughter's cat urinated on the old carpet and they could immediately lay new carpet. Kilz recommends waiting 72 hours so how did I misunderstand so badly?) Waited nearly another week to get a written estimate. I went into the shop the next day, October 29 to sign the contract and give a deposit. Was told the carpet couldn't get installed until December, and not an exact date given, but about twelve weeks start to finish. Three months to wait is too long. On October 29 I went to Home Depot. My installers just left. Twelve days start to finish and about $100 less. They came early, did a great job, very respectful to me and my property. Before I committed to working with Home Depot, I went into another small flooring shop in town and was told about two weeks start to finish--three weeks at most. The Floor Shop staff were helpful and they have a great selection, but three months is too long to wait for simple installation of a common product.
