Their Project Manager, Alex, and his team visited twice to assess. On May 29, I received a quote from Tom (Operations Manager/Estimator), but it only covered demolition -- not restoration. I immediately followed up, and Tom replied the same day, saying "This is the estimate for demo only. I will get you a revised estimate to include the reconstruction portion as well." Despite multiple follow-ups (June 5, 10, and 17) and a call to Alex on June 14, I never received the updated quote. Today I escalated to Paul Davis Corporate, who got the owner of this Paul Davis franchise on the phone. He brought Tom onto a follow-up call, but Tom said nothing the entire time. Only at that point the owner says there's a $250 deposit required to even receive a reconstruction quote -- something never mentioned before -- and seems made up on the spot, given we already received a quote for demo (w/o a deposit). Their strange deposit policy was never communicated to us during prior site visits, prior emails, or calls with Alex. After a month of delays and no complete estimate, I decided to move on to another contractor. If they can't even manage their business professionally and competently, how can I count on them to work on my house. If you need any work done, steer clear of Paul Davis Restorations, especially this franchise!

You can discuss design alternatives throughout the process. He listens and provides the pros and cons. He will go out of this way to ensure you are happy with the result. The name Fine Line Constructions speaks for itself. Blaine's attention to detail is amazing. He will spot imperfections and fix them before you even notice the problem. And on those rare occasions when you are not 100 percent pleased with the result, Blaine will address the issue without question. Over the past year and a half they've masterfully completed several jobs for us, and we have them on the books for several more. They have dug out and installed french drains with sump pumps as well as repaired and painted walls, ceilings, and brickwork. All of these things were done expertly. But the most significant work they've done was to create, from the ground up, an addition to our house. We call it an addition, a sunroom, our new "hang out all day" room. A 14x16 vaulted ceiling with support beam masterpiece, the casement windows are all handmade with the finest craftsmanship and care. They spent hours, days and weeks measuring, sanding, staining, painting, glueing, nailing, and appraising. Perfection was the goal and it was accomplished over and over again. We were especially appreciative of the creativity and thoughtfulness with design and vision: Blaine especially was adept at providing the many options involved in all aspects of the job to choose from - such as tile material and color to stain shades - and then, when asked, gave his highly informed and relevant ideas and opinions. And when supplier issues and delays occurred as they always seem to these days they were undeterred and never rushed nor took shortcuts. They were always punctual, courteous, and up front with all details and accounting. Our cost overages were insignificant. We couldn't be happier with them and their work, and the end result was well beyond what we expected.

When he arrived at my house, he charged additional fees on top of what he originally quoted for the generator diagnosis. This felt very dishonest. He also claimed there was a same-day service charge, even though he had told me a different rate over the phone. In the end, the issue with my generator was never fixed, and the overall experience was very disappointing. The service felt dishonest and unprofessional, and I would not recommend this company.

After the preliminary site inspection, we signed a contract, and he provided some recommended corrections that should be made. I subsequently requested an estimate for those corrections on several occasions and most recently tried to reach them by email, text, and phone, for a service call due to a maintenance notice from the generator, all to no avail. I get no response, despite having a contract. Due to the obvious breach of contract, I have no choice but to contract with someone else to provide the maintenance who will be responsible and responsive and will be notifying Generac that they are not a reliable provider and should not be listed in their application as a suggested company.
