I am extremely pleased with the job X-treme Painting did with refurbishing the exterior of our stucco house here in Harrisonburg. I tend to be a perfectionist when it comes to painting since I worked in my youth during many summers as a painter (working with one of the very best painters in Harrisonburg). This family-owned company did an incredible job bringing our house back to life. From the moment I met Edwin and his wife, when they first stopped by to provide an estimate for the work, I felt completely confident that X-treme would do a first-rate job. And so they did through the following steps: The crew (1) power-washed the house (including a large portion of vinyl siding not to be painted), removing lots of peeling paint; (2) replaced numerous places of rotten trim with new wood; (3) thoroughly scraped the stucco and power-sanded lots of trim that was in particularly bad condition on our south-facing porch; (4) applied one coat of primer to the stucco (using the correct primer for stucco) and wood trim; (5) and applied two final coats of paint to the entire house. During the process X-treme foreman Luis and Francisco, as well as other workers who joined the team on different days, were always professional, courteous, and diligent making sure we were pleased with the work. My wife and I hired Edwin and Xtreme painting to perform some non-painting work at our house. The basic idea was to clear brush, trim trees, remove dead trees, and install guardrails so that we could more readily enjoy the view of the river from our house and patio, and do so safely. We called Edwin because he and his crew had done a great job painting the entire interior of our house in 2017. Xtreme Painting: 1. removed a couple of large dead trees; 2. did a fantastic job of topping the remaining large trees so that our view of the river was expanded; 3. demolished a shed that was in very poor condition; 4. cleared all undergrowth and prepared the cleared ground so that we will be more easily able to put in the ground cover that we intend to plant; 5. built and painted very sturdy guardrails that allow us to access the river, which is a steep drop from the back of the house; 6. hauled away all debris - trees, shrubs, shed - everything; 7. were flexible in accommodating changes that my wife and I requested; 8. had some great ideas of their own on how to improve the outdoor areas of our house; 9. arrived every day when they said they would, and focused on the job until it was complete to our satisfaction. Top-notch experience from start to finish! Our experience with Xtreme Painting was beyond great! Edwin and his team completely refurbished our two decks and balcony, that were in disrepair - NOW they look brand new - and all for a very reasonable price! We were so impressed with their attention to detail and the extent of preparation to the wood surfaces to ensure only the best of outcomes. They power washed and sanded surfaces - both manually and with sander, ripped out and replaced old boards from deck floors and stairs and cleaned the surfaces again. Two coats of top rated stain / paint applied on all surfaces. Edwin went above and beyond in so many ways....1) he built a small ramp on the back side of our garage to make it easier to get our mower in and out, 2) power washed our plastic lattice under the deck, and 3) painted underneath the stairs of the taller deck. Xtreme Painting did the outside of my house about 6 months ago. They did such good, dependable and friendly work that I decided to go back to them for popcorn ceiling removal and indoor painting. I've removed some of my popcorn but I needed Xtreme Painting to get the popcorn off my vaulted ceiling. I had no idea how much better they would do than I had done. Israel, XP's popcorn ceiling specialist is a real artist. I've never seen such beautiful work - smooth, re-taped, painted beautifully. They also painted my high ceiled rooms (I don't get on high ladders any more) and their work, again is just beautiful. Israel, Ramon, Marvin and Jayro all did work in the house. They left it clean and beautiful. Then, Edwin, the owner, followed up by inspecting all the work and having Israel redo anything he found that wasn't up to his very high standards. I think the most important thing I can write about Xtreme Painting is that you can trust your home to them. They are honest, hard working artisans. I wish there were more than 5 stars that I could give to Edwin and his crew at Xtreme Painting. Every detail of our exterior painting project was handled professionally from the initial consultation to the beautiful end result. Communication with both Edwin and his crew was excellent and was updated daily as to what phase of the project would be addressed that day as well as the status on the project progression. Everything that was taken up during the process was neatly put back in place. The attention to details and the many extras were also a very nice bonus. Edwin was always available to answer any questions and was a joy to work with as was his wonderful crew. They all gave 110% to the project and also made our 24 year old house look like new again. This was our second project with Edwin and his team and we cannot say enough about how wonderful they are and the quality of work they do. They painted the entire interior of our new to us home, helped perform drywall repair - including matching ceiling textures to the point where you cannot see the patching, and painted doors and installed hardware. Edwin and his team show up when they promise, work as hard as anyone I have ever seen and perform top quality work. Edwin performed a final walk through himself and was finding small items to correct that we never even noticed. This reflects in his employees work as well.
