Adrienne and I had friction almost immediately because she misrepresented her availability ( she wasn't available for a month) and refused to create a written design for the living room. It wasn't "how she worked". Another source of friction was her trade discount. She told me that she had discounts through Houzz, but she did not participate in retail trade programs and these discounts can be substantial. Through a rental business, I had access to multiple discount programs. This meant I did all the ordering, tracking and scheduling. Adrienne did not have access to "trade only" distributors in NC at all. So, I am stuck with a cheap, way too small rug for my living room, cheap looking light fixtures. She checked out half way through. My husband and I reviewed the contract after a month of working with her. The bottom line was that we should have insisted on a smaller initial payment. Instead, I tried to trudge through and now have to hire another designer. She did not have any contractors! She used the wallpaper installer that I found for a family member! Nothing was easy with her. At our first meeting, she bragged about her "Northeast work ethic". My husband still jokes out that. HARD lesson learned.

She will claim I never sent photos or videos but I have proof of all my Detailed communication and her empty promises. Happy to share. As "nice" as she sounds, she ghosted me, never showed up for said appointment and demanded I pay her AGAIN after not even doing nearly enough work. Claimed I didn't show her enough of the boxes in a video.. perhaps 3 were not present. The apartment was FAR worse when her employee left and I got stuck with a huge bill that she won't refund. If we could have used any of the furniture or decor, believe me we would have had it sent to our NH house but I love this house as well and there simply is no room here to fit in another piece of furnishings or decor. Our condo was beautifully done by a decorator who worked with us when we purchased it unfinished (that is hard to do!). So, with that, we needed help in getting all personal belongings from our condo packed up and sent to our NH residence. Imagine Home Organization was right there for us every step of the way.
