I should've looked for the reviews before I took a recommendation on this place. They don't listen, they make you pay for every mistake they make, it took months and months to get this done, and it was a simple remodel. I don't know if the guy I worked with didn't understand, or what the problem was, however, after meeting time after time on phone and on zoom, I still got the wrong work consistently. Now that we have submitted the plans for permits, we're still catching more mistakes. How is this place even in business ? read more

They started out very professional. After they got the payment of almost $7800 their responsiveness and quality dropped dramatically. Our contractor called them, out a couple of times, to look at issues that some could have been foreseen and others that couldn't have been foreseen. The person that came out just looked at the issue. They didn't take photos nor make notes. This delayed the process even more. The last change we made that had to be paid for took several weeks to obtain. Our contractor called me to tell me he had called Arc Design several times to no avail. I called and spoke with Joe, the draftsman; I told Joe that if he was talking to me he had a problem! Joe went on about the contractor for, almost all of, the 19min phone call. I told Joe that they weren't getting the $500 we owed them until I had the prints. He told me no payment no prints. I told him to call when he had the prints and I would pay then. Their engineer is located in Port Charlotte. The engineer sent the prints right away, but he sent electronic prints. Dunedin doesn't accept electronic, they only take hard copies. Arc Design should have known this! Again, I call to tell them I need hard copies and I wanted them that day. I told Leona I would go get them myself. That's when I found out the engineer was in Port Charlotte. I told her to have one of her staff go get them then. Leona told me that they had already been sent FedEx. Just not the kind of service I expected from an established architect. Would I recommend them to anyone? Absolutely not! read more

Arcdesign out of clearwater Florida was a big mistake, Randy Young could not follow directions at all, we told him exactly what we wanted and he still did what he thought we might like, of course he was doing this on our dime not his!!!!!!!!!!!.. If you are needing some plans for a remodel steer clear of this company. My wife and I met the architect Julius Keblinskas and his wife at a home show in St Petersburg, FL over 6 months ago, they both seemed very sincere and competent , we called them back several months later and sure enough Randy Young shows up, we spent hours explaining everything we wanted on plans that we had previously done( actually we were trying to decrease the scope of the work for cost reasons alone). When he came back to review our ideas he had actually made changes to the drawings we had not even talked about at all, he really didn't know much about anything, kept on trying to tell us things that we where going to need but then we would call the city of St Petersburg and they would say you don't need that at all. I never saw the real architect again, bait and switch type of deal. The real architect probably doesn't even know this Randy Young ever came to our house. Now I know why he was able to get to our job so quickly, it should have been a red flag.
