Major improvement! Job well done, Kyle in sales office and installers Jerry and Eric(sp?).

From beginning to end, service was excellent! Kyle in the sales office was very knowledgeable and professional. His price quotes were in line with other companies and his time estimates for materials to arrive were spot on. Reed was also professional and on time when he came to take measurements. May 25, 2023, within two weeks after materials arrived in their shop, two installers arrived at the beginning of their ETA for a job that normally takes 4 hours to complete. We did not have to sit around waiting and wondering as they called minutes before arriving at their scheduled time. Both installers, Jimmy and Eric (sp?), were professional (as well) and extremely skilled, going above and beyond, staying 8 hours, if not more, to get the job done properly. They rose to the challenge of removing original, old, rickety garage doors on a house built in 1984 that were "gerry rigged" with a jumble of old wires running every which way, and door frames out of plumb. These issues caused extra work to install the new doors, thus the extra time they put in; when they needed a special tool for the job, one of them immediately went to purchase it while the other stayed and continued working. We fed them lunch when they decided they would work without taking a break. Job well done! We love our new garage doors and the improved look to our house! Regretfully we don't have a pic of the old garage doors to show the difference. This review is to express our satisfaction with Kyle, Reed, Jimmy and Eric (sp?) and recommend highly "Garage Door Services". Timely, Professional, Skilled, Reliable.

This year has been tough on everyone. That includes people trying to get things repaired and those…read morethat do the repairing. Supply chains have been disrupted and/or broken. Everywhere you turn you hear "No, can't get it" followed by "No, we can't help you." Simple service calls we took for granted pre-Covid we won't ever again. In my case, I called Grand Traverse Garage Door the first week of September to schedule replacement of my door opener and outside key pad. Tammy said she would "add my name to the list." Excuse me? The list? Yes, a list of dozens of others all wanting the same thing. And these are just the dozens who didn't immediately slam down the phone in frustration. But here is what sets Grand Traverse Garage Door apart from their competitors: Tammy was so friendly and empathetic. She explained the problems they were having getting door door openers from their suppliers. She said she would update me every couple weeks but that I shouldn't expect service before early December. Oh boy, early December. But call every couple weeks is precisely what Tammy did. What company does this? Last Wednesday my garage door opener and outdoor keypad were installed. Only a Powerball Lottery win could have topped it. I received their bill on Saturday. It was several hundred dollars less than I had anticipated. What integrity. They could have charged what the market would bear and easily gotten it. They could have hopscotched over me to someone who would have paid triple. But they didn't. They did exactly what they said they'd do and they did it with a smile. The installation was quick and smooth as silk. I am over the moon happy. A big shout out to unsung hero, Tammy, who is a great company ambassador. I recommend them without reservation.

Tammy was very diligent in getting back out with the springs that I needed. Yesterday Don came out with the appropriate springs and made the repairs and the adjustment needed to make the door work again. i've decided To give Don a new name. He not only answered all my questions in a way that I understood, he also put a new rubber across the bottom of the garage door that was not on his work order. His patience, care and willingness to answer any question makes him "Fabulous Don" In my book. i'm a former HR manager of a local home improvement company and I know good customer service and workmanship when I see it. Thank you Fabulous Don and Tammy!

Four of them showed up together to perform an inspection on the home we're buying and each of them was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. After they each performed their portion of the inspection they walked me around the house and showed me all of their concerns and all of the things that were favorable about the house. They sent an extraordinarily detailed report about the inspection on the same day. It has a punch list of items we will need to take care of over time. I can't say enough about these guys. They were so professional and thorough and I would recommend them to everyone.

Out the gate, Bill comes off very condescending to women and would only send written communication to my husband despite myself being the purchaser. That said, he downplayed a massive issue in our basement stating on the phone and in his report a "small amount" of mildew found around outlets in an unfinished basement. It was the entire floor to ceiling on multiple walls. Nothing mentioned in the report about sagging trim work in the garage, rotted beams, rusted through garage door track and mildew on garage walls. When we discussed this will Bill after we occupied the home, Bill downplayed the cost to repair this and claimed to not have noticed the nauseating stench in the garage. We had to replace the entire garage door, the tracks, rip out drywall, remove siding, repair flashing, and replace a wooden beam as it was full of mold and permeating the entire garage and home with a smell so strong you could smell it through the walls and into the home. Bill said he would come out and meet with my husband and I to review this concern but never responded with a day or time he could make himself available. Shortly after occupancy, we turn on our yard irrigation system only to find Bills crew had punctured a hole in one of the irrigation lines while using a septic probe to find the septic tank. We messaged Bill yet again asking him to send someone to fix it. Complete silence from Bill. We eventually had to pay a company to come repair the issue costing us more money. Bill's septic report recommended we pump the septic one year from occupancy. We didn't make it 2 months and septic started to back up. The company that pumped the septic stated it was "severely overdue" to be pumped and we were lucky we didn't have more severe issues. I could go on and on. For spending as much as we did on our home, we certainly were not prepared to drop over $6000 on issues missed or downplayed by this company. As purchasers from hours away, we relied on this inspection to make decisions on purchase price and negotiate repairs. Bills inspection is easily double the cost of other inspectors I've used, has poor response and will talk down to you. Avoid at all costs
