For full disclosure, this review is based solely on the grub delivered to our hotel, not the actual restaurant.
So, when in Prague do as the Czechs do, right? Walk and walk, and walk some more? Though I highly doubt locals do as much walking as tourists do, so by the time we got back to our hotel, we were whooped! But we had a late lunch and weren't quite ready for dinner, so we relaxed a bit more before mustering the energy to get up and out again. You know how this story goes, don't you? Time sets in and you ain't movin' a muscle! Yup, now we needed to find a joint that would deliver to our hotel, and low and behold, Gangsterburger did indeed!
Now, who wouldn't be intrigued by that name to begin with, right? Then once perusing the menu we knew we needed to get a burger or two. However, here's the glitch, their online menu was in Czech only. No English version. I know, I know, it's our responsibility to acquiesce to our surroundings, not the other way around. Nevertheless, the menu listed the names of the burgers, all with gangster monikers like, The Capone, The Bugsy and so on. We tried reading the toppings that followed each burger, but we were definitely left wanting. So we threw a dart, of sorts. Burgers, nachos, fries and so on. Ordering was very easy through their app and no need to pay in advance via credit card, though that option was available.
As I read the "About Us" portion of their site, it looks like they started out as delivery only, but have since opened brick and mortar stores.
In no time at all our food was delivered to the lobby and let me tell ya, they're all about large portions. Huge burgers! Half decent fries and their nachos were VERY different; good, worth trying if you're curious. All in all, we were pleased with this experience and next time we're in Prague, we just might set our sails for the actual restaurant to soak up the full experience.
