I will start by saying that I am by no means a food connoisseur, and pretty easily satisfied by any restaurant, but we were pretty disappointed with this place. I'm an American living in Prague, and while my dad's here to visit, he decided he was in the mood for a burger. We found this place had good reviews on Google, so decided to check it out.
Now, I will say the waitstaff seemed nice and were accommodating of our lack of Czech language skills. However, the restaurant itself left a lot to be desired. The whole place smelled weird and kind of dingy, and was oddly empty though we were told we needed a reservation (which, luckily, we had). The beer was meh, though their range of American sodas was impressive (of course, for a cost). The burgers themselves were what really let us down. They had an odd, unpleasant charred taste, and didn't come with fries, despite costing about $10 each. I know that this is a slightly more expensive restaurant, but for the location and atmosphere, it seems like you could have thrown in some fried potatoes for that kind of cost. Plus, everything was SO saucy. Like, dripping in sauce to the point where it was falling apart in our hands, and not in a good burger-juices kind of way, just this-is-way-too-much-BBQ-sauce kind of way.
Other issues: we were charged for some things that were implied to be included (I.e. we were asked what sauce we wanted with our side of fries, only to learn that the sauce costs almost as much as the fries themselves, when we would have been happy with just ketchup), and though we asked for our burgers medium-well, mine was very well done and my dad's was medium at best.
Overall, my verdict is: don't come here. There are several local pubs just around the corner that will serve you better burgers (if a bit simpler) for a fraction of the cost, in a much cooler atmosphere. I certainly won't be visiting again. read more
