This is for all you travelers heading over to Prague. After three or four days you are going to want a solid burger (mex too but forgot that dream). Meat & Greet is really quite good considering you are in Czechia. The fries are fabulous.
The burgers were cooked great. We also had the burrata and tomato appetizer and was generous enough to be a main meal. The herb fries were on point and garlic mayo was terrific.
We wanted a hamburger because we had been eating "ethnic food " for 8 days. We just wanted "American" type food. Meat and Great was recommended to us and fit our need. It's a nice little place but all the chairs were bad stool height so they weren't really relaxing for me. Because the place is small you would be wise to get a reservation. We both had the basic hamburger even though they have numerous options. The burgers were very good. The buns weren't properly grilled which would have made the burger much better. But it was definitely what we wanted. We ordered a side of fries and they were very good. They reminded me of Five Guys but without the seasoning. One of the odd things was an extra charge for ketchup. The ketchup was watery and not up the Heinz 57 type standards. It's the first time I've ever paid for ketchup, but this is a long way from the USA. I had a non-alcoholic beer because I can't drink alcohol. I've discovered that in Germany and Prague they have really good non-alcoholic beers. Oddly, the non-alcoholic beer was cheaper than a Coke. The service was a little slow and it took a while to get our meal, but we've found the fast turnaround service is uncommon in Europe. Take your time and enjoy your meal. Overall this was not a "you MUST go there" type of place. But, it was good and we would probably go back again if we were in Prague.
Our very first meal here! This place reminds me of the burger place in planet Hollywood I'm Vegas. Everything is an add on even the sauce. I forgot what kind of burger we got but it was pretty good and super messy. I noticed that no one eats with their hands. They eat their burgers with a fork and knife and don't finish the top bun ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I went for it, I didn't care I was super hungry and jet lagged. The meal itself was reasonable and we definitely over tipped. Tipping here is anywhere from 0 - 10% but say if you use your card there isn't even a line for tip. Very confusing. We spent total about 800 koruna which was a lot more than we expected but it's cause we over tipped too. There are more reasonable places around.
Excellent gourmet burgers in Prague! V centrally located and easy to get to. Great variety of drinks and mixed drinks were unique and flavourful without being cloyingly sweet. Russian vodka was excellent. Local beers come in 300ml or half a litre size for essentially 4$ Can. Appetizers were well prepared: jalapeño poppers were gigantic and deep fried; cornflake onion rings were not at all greasy. Everything is a side and rather off putting that ketchup, mustard etc are extra. That said, the sauces that comes w the burgers are so good you don't need anything else really. MAG burger had cheddar cheese and was hearty. Veg burger was a falafel patty w slaw on top and sriracha mayo - yum. Best veg burger ever. No room for dessert but judging by online photos, they would have been great.
As we were looking for a dinner spot after a long day in Kutna Hora, we stumbled upon this vibrant burger house. Fortunately, the wait time wasn't that bad. I'm very happy that we found this place. I was craving a burger, a very good burger ...and they did not disappoint! I went simple and ordered the MAG ...with bacon, Aji mayo, ketchup, and gratin tomatoes. The juiciness and flavor of the patty ranks up there with the best of them. And their friendly staff and fast service ranks up there too! Their crème fraiche with parsley sauce, jalapeno coriander sauce, and ketchup all went well with our sides. We shared fried green beans and French fries with herbs. I'm still weirded out that we get charged per sauce, including ketchup, in these parts. No sauce left behind in this country!
Dropped into this place after reading the reviews on a rainy day in Prague. It was around 2 pm so we were seated right away. We ordered 2 Matuška beers which were amazing! We ordered the El Chapo, the Crispy, and split the fries with herbs and sriracha mayo (because if a place has sriracha mayo, I'm ordering it). We got both of our burgers with salad instead of buns #health because of all of the food we've eaten in Europe so far. Both burgers came out within about 10 minutes and were excellent. The fries/sauce combo was great as well. Would absolutely recommend!
Meat and Greet is actually a pretty cool little burger joint right in the heart of Prague. This place is very nicely decorated and has a pretty cool vibe to it. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful and the menu is really inviting. Tried a couple of things but I will say that the pastrami burger with steak fries is delicious. The ginger lemonade was a bit in the sour side but overall it was a very pleasant dining experience. Pros- Large portions Great taste Friendly service Location Decor and ambiance Free wifi Cons- Sour lemonade Ketchup tasted funny
The burger was indeed good and properly prepared. The onion rings are better at Sonic drive thru. The beer was of course good. Not sure what it is about service in this town, but once again got slow, unfriendly service. Overall, I think the Yelp! reviews are overrated.
This Meat & Greet is so outstanding, I ate there three times during my 9 day stay in Prague. WOW! Everything about this restaurant is quality. Quality service, drinks and most importantly food. It's also a very aesthetically pleasing restaurant so you feel comfortable from the moment you walk in. If everything I tried, I absolutely loved the red hot chilli burger. It's unique and the flavors are so harmonious... it makes me want to meet the person that designed this burger and shake their hand lol. If I could only eat one type of burger from here on out, it would be this one. I think it would be near impossible to have a bad experience at this restaurant. This place should get awards for their quality! Highly recommended. read more

You're here for burgers, fries, and beer. There are predefined burgers and build your own. If red meat isn't your thing, there's a turkey option and a beet burger. MAG -- cheddar and bacon. Basic, basically fine. Garlic Mayo isn't very garlicky. Billy goat -- the burger to get if you're a bit adventurous. Goat cheese AND cheddar, with pancetta, pumpkin mayo AND garlic aioli AND corn salad. Messy AF but tasty. Bohemia -- yum. Pork neck and a Czech cheese. Cabbage and onions. Wish the mustard was slightly spicier but this is a good burger. Fries -- get the herbed version or the steak fries. Wish us could herb the steak fries. Prices are a little higher than other places but still reasonable compared to most tourist destinations in Europe. read more

As we were looking for a dinner spot after a long day in Kutna Hora, we stumbled upon this vibrant burger house. Fortunately, the wait time wasn't that bad. I'm very happy that we found this place. Deeeeeeelicious!!!! really lovely service, nice furnishings. We made a reservation but they overbooked. No problem- they completely over-apologised (we got two free shots and they charged us for small beers instead of large) Our seats were perfect- nothing to apologise for!! Now the food ..... Amazing burgers!!! Not too heavy, taste Devine and the meat was perfectly cooked!!! Would absolutely recommend to anyone visiting Prague!! read more

The food here is really amazing! My dish came with a carrot puree that was absolutely phenomenal. Their meat was also very high quality and cooked incredibly well. What knocked them down to 4 stars were the Brussels sprouts. They were pretty bitter and not as soft as I would like. Even though I think the Brussels sprouts were mainly there as a decoration to garnish the dish, it would be nice if their vegetables were cooked with as much quality as their meat. Their service is one of the best I've experienced so far in Prague. From the moment I entered, I was greeted with a welcoming smile and was seated almost immediately. The waiters were all very patient and friendly. I probably won't come back often because the prices were a bit steep for me (~200 crowns for a burger), but if you're looking for a good quality burger, this would be the place. read more

I had the Pastrami Burger and my friend had the Mag Burger and we both very pleased with our food. The burgers and also the coleslaw were amazing. Definitely visit this place if you like a good burger. Service needs to improve. Waiter took forever to get us our check and gave us 100 Czech crowns less change back than what we were supposed to get. read more

Came here for dinner a few nights back... Found on yelp and gave it a shot....pretty decent variety of food for a burger bar and staff were friendly and spoke English...opted for vegan option of a tofu burger that was ok. Fries were crispy and had jalapeño poppers which were spicy and good...others at the table seemed to enjoy their food as well...although no one was raving about how great...overall a good option if you're in the area with free wifi, good drinks, and nice decor... read more
I'm SO happy Yelp is in Prague! This was a gem was a five minute walk from where we are staying. The atmosphere was just lovely...we came in for a late lunch and left with full, happy stomachs! The portions were large...I ordered the MAG burger and herb seasoned fries with horseradish mayo. I loved every bite! My dad ordered the Kren, with steak fries, homemade ketchup and coleslaw. We each tried a flavored fruit-ade. I would have loved to have dessert but I was just too full. The waitstaff were all so helpful. If you are traveling in the area...this was an absolute five stars for me! read more

You don't want to miss this place if you are anywhere near the city center - a small burger place with a ton of character. You can feel their friendly family atmosphere combined with professional staff. The burger itself was juicy and perfectly seasoned. Homemade french fries, likewise, were great. Reservations are recommended (especially during lunch time) Oh, and be sure to order the Matuška beer! read more
Ok! So although I already have a FAVE burger place in Prague that will always be my number 1, Meat & Greet is an extremely (and I mean EXTREMELY!) CLOSE second. A friend told me about this place so I decided to stop in for lunch today. Cute, chic space inside and a couple of tables set up outside on the sidewalk. The chalkboard outside read "Cornflakes-Crusted Onion Rings", and I didn't see anything else after that lol I was intrigued! Service was excellent! I had a couple of servers help me at different times (neither because the other wasn't there, but just because). They have starters and sides and I ordered the Cornflakes-Crusted Onion Rings (starter) to come out with my burger. They both came out relatively quickly. So to note, the onion rings are a starter and there were only five. They were YUM-I-LICIOUS! That cornflake crunch was everything! For my burger, I tried the Luigi. Now if you've read my other burger reviews, you know I LOVE unique burgers, and this one did not disappoint! Thick juicy patty, topped with Italian Mascari cheese, guanciale, tomato jam with cinnamon and cloves, roasted almonds and Arugula! Did you read that flavor combination?!?!? Delightful! My taste buds were in heaven. If you get the chance, go check them out. Sometimes you may need a reservation as they get packed, but Saturday early afternoon, it was not too bad. read more

Went for lunch on first day in Prague and was blown away by how good the burgers were. These are no ordinary burgers as each was full of multiple flavors melding together for an incredible culinary treat. Great fries, polenta and multiple dipping sauces. You must try it. But, call for reservations as they can fill up quickly. So it's our last night in Prague now and where are we going? Back to Meat & Greet. Yum! read more

First meal in Prague and it was a GOOOOOOOOOAAALLL! Our Greensboro friends will understand when I say this is as good if not better than Hops Burger Bar. Perfectly cooked juicy burgers with tons of flavor Paired very well with a local craft beer. Great place with a nice vibe as well. read more

Really good restaurant. I shared a burger with my wife, half Crispy and half Mag and I liked both. As side dishes we ordered some fries with pumpkin dressing. For drink I ordered a matuska beer which has an orange flavor. read more
