This Meat & Greet is so outstanding, I ate there three times during my 9 day stay in Prague. WOW! Everything about this restaurant is quality. Quality service, drinks and most importantly food. It's also a very aesthetically pleasing restaurant so you feel comfortable from the moment you walk in. If everything I tried, I absolutely loved the red hot chilli burger. It's unique and the flavors are so harmonious... it makes me want to meet the person that designed this burger and shake their hand lol. If I could only eat one type of burger from here on out, it would be this one. I think it would be near impossible to have a bad experience at this restaurant. Goat cheese AND cheddar, with pancetta, pumpkin mayo AND garlic aioli AND corn salad. Messy AF but tasty. Bohemia -- yum. Pork neck and a Czech cheese. Cabbage and onions. Wish the mustard was slightly spicier but this is a good burger. Fries -- get the herbed version or the steak fries. Wish us could herb the steak fries. We wanted a hamburger because we had been eating "ethnic food " for 8 days. We just wanted "American" type food. Meat and Great was recommended to us and fit our need. It's a nice little place but all the chairs were bad stool height so they weren't really relaxing for me. Because the place is small you would be wise to get a reservation. We both had the basic hamburger even though they have numerous options. The burgers were very good. The buns weren't properly grilled which would have made the burger much better. But it was definitely what we wanted. We ordered a side of fries and they were very good. They reminded me of Five Guys but without the seasoning. One of the odd things was an extra charge for ketchup. The ketchup was watery and not up the Heinz 57 type standards. It's the first time I've ever paid for ketchup, but this is a long way from the USA. I had a non-alcoholic beer because I can't drink alcohol. I've discovered that in Germany and Prague they have really good non-alcoholic beers. Oddly, the non-alcoholic beer was cheaper than a Coke. The service was a little slow and it took a while to get our meal, but we've found the fast turnaround service is uncommon in Europe. Take your time and enjoy your meal. Overall this was not a "you MUST go there" type of place. But, it was good and we would probably go back again if we were in Prague. read more

Our very first meal here! This place reminds me of the burger place in planet Hollywood I'm Vegas. Everything is an add on even the sauce. I forgot what kind of burger we got but it was pretty good and super messy. I noticed that no one eats with their hands. They eat their burgers with a fork and knife and don't finish the top bun ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I went for it, I didn't care I was super hungry and jet lagged. The meal itself was reasonable and we definitely over tipped. Tipping here is anywhere from 0 - 10% but say if you use your card there isn't even a line for tip. Very confusing. We spent total about 800 koruna which was a lot more than we expected but it's cause we over tipped too. There are more reasonable places around. read more

Excellent gourmet burgers in Prague! V centrally located and easy to get to. Great variety of drinks and mixed drinks were unique and flavourful without being cloyingly sweet. Russian vodka was excellent. Local beers come in 300ml or half a litre size for essentially 4$ Can. Appetizers were well prepared: jalapeño poppers were gigantic and deep fried; cornflake onion rings were not at all greasy. Everything is a side and rather off putting that ketchup, mustard etc are extra. That said, the sauces that comes w the burgers are so good you don't need anything else really. MAG burger had cheddar cheese and was hearty. Veg burger was a falafel patty w slaw on top and sriracha mayo - yum. Best veg burger ever. The food was great! Service was amazing. I enjoyed the decor and feeling of the restaurant. Not to far from the astronomical clock. They didn't have pickles or real ketchup which was disappointing. The fresh french fries were amazing. However they have this homemade ketchup which is essential tomatoes sauce and didn't taste good. I'm a saucy person. So that was important to me. I was encouraged by the reviews and photos but I was very dissatisfied by the food served. A serving of French fries came oily, overcooked and like leftovers. A person sitting next to me had fresh delicious-looking French fries. My portion should never have left the kitchen except in the trash can. Beware and don't accept that. The juiciness and flavor of the patty ranks up there with the best of them. And their friendly staff and fast service ranks up there too! Dropped into this place after reading the reviews on a rainy day in Prague. It was around 2 pm so we were seated right away. We ordered 2 Matuška beers which were amazing! We ordered the El Chapo, the Crispy, and split the fries with herbs and sriracha mayo (because if a place has sriracha mayo, I'm ordering it). We got both of our burgers with salad instead of buns #health because of all of the food we've eaten in Europe so far. Both burgers came out within about 10 minutes and were excellent. After only 5 short days in Europe, two Texans were feening for a cheeseburger. We searched for the local whataburger to no avail. Just when our hopes of an ice cold Coke Zero and a greasy burger we're dwindling, Meat and Greet appeared like a beacon in the night. An air conditioned building with a delicious bacon cheeseburger gave us the will to go on. As if the staff could sense our need for shot of USA, they promptly put on some good American tunes and filled our cups with ice. My only suggestions for improvement is on the ketchup that was more like marinara sauce. If you can carry around a pocket sized bottle of Tabasco, you can surely better mimic Whataburger's spicy ketchup. read more

We designated Meat & Greet for our Thanksgiving dinner since we were out of the country and didn't care for a fancy atmosphere. This restaurant does get really packed and most people have reservations but we were lucky enough to score a seat at the bar counter. I had their turkey burger which was top of the line (minus the brie cheese which I am not a fan of). Great steak fries, tasty sriracha mayo to go with it and a special shout out to their gin/tonic which is huge and delicious. Service was attentive and casual. The only thing we didn't enjoy here was their home made ketchup because it tasted quite different than what we are use to. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful and the menu is really inviting. Tried a couple of things but I will say that the pastrami burger with steak fries is delicious. One of the most outstanding menus I've ever seen at a place that serves burgers. Not just the burgers, themselves (which were amazing), but the sauce selection and amazing selection of sides and starters. I didn't have a huge amount of time to spend eating there, but I would have returned if I was able. The polenta fries were excellently crispy and while I would have gotten every sauce available, the server recommended the pumpkin sauce and it was SO good. The food here is really amazing! My dish came with a carrot puree that was absolutely phenomenal. Their meat was also very high quality and cooked incredibly well. What knocked them down to 4 stars were the Brussels sprouts. They were pretty bitter and not as soft as I would like. Even though I think the Brussels sprouts were mainly there as a decoration to garnish the dish, it would be nice if their vegetables were cooked with as much quality as their meat. Their service is one of the best I've experienced so far in Prague. From the moment I entered, I was greeted with a welcoming smile and was seated almost immediately. The waiters were all very patient and friendly. I'm SO happy Yelp is in Prague! This was a gem was a five minute walk from where we are staying. The atmosphere was just lovely...we came in for a late lunch and left with full, happy stomachs! The portions were large...I ordered the MAG burger and herb seasoned fries with horseradish mayo. I loved every bite! My dad ordered the Kren, with steak fries, homemade ketchup and coleslaw. I had a couple of servers help me at different times (neither because the other wasn't there, but just because). They have starters and sides and I ordered the Cornflakes-Crusted Onion Rings (starter) to come out with my burger. They both came out relatively quickly. So to note, the onion rings are a starter and there were only five. They were YUM-I-LICIOUS! That cornflake crunch was everything! For my burger, I tried the Luigi. Now if you've read my other burger reviews, you know I LOVE unique burgers, and this one did not disappoint! Thick juicy patty, topped with Italian Mascari cheese, guanciale, tomato jam with cinnamon and cloves, roasted almonds and Arugula! Did you read that flavor combination?!?!? Delightful!
