I haven't…read morebeen in the door to the right, but I think it's owned by the same family, and has a lot of Kawaii/Cute things for sale. My wife found this awesome little hobby shop last night while hanging out with a couple of friends, and when she came home and told me about it, we ended up going back together the next day. I'm into all things nerdy, especially anime and GUNPLA, so I grabbed an SD model kit and a Thousand Sunny Bandai kit from One Piece. They've also got individual actual Pokémon, One Piece, Magic decks, and individual cards in binders for sale (at least for Pokémon, I'm unsure of the other cards games.) They had some Anime models, Manga, a bunch of stickers, different types of dice (for tabletop gaming), plushies, some older video game stuff, and I think there were Warhammer model kits. It's a small local shop, so prices are a little bit higher than what you'd see at big box stores. BUT you're supporting a local business, and that's always really worth it. There are some game rooms in the back where people can play tabletop stuff like board games or Dungeons & Dragons. They've got a bathroom (I didn't check it out), plus a little section with snacks and sodas to indulge if you get hungry while you're there playing. Big shoutout to the guy behind the counter. He was super cool to my wife and her friends last night, and even more so when we came back today. I watched him today helping other customers too. Super patient, very friendly, and just seems like a genuinely good guy. Definitely the kind of shop and person I love to support. He also said that if we have We will absolutely be back here.

Not ripping people off on tcg for something that cost 40$ selling it for over 300 when people who…read moreshould have gotten them didn't. So they will charge over 400% markup because some sucker will pay for it. I'm autistic and disabled and magic is a big part of my life for 32 years so when I see things like this especially from a wpn store it really doesn't sit right you guys are supposed to support the community not empty its pockets. I've made a list of all the stores and been in contact with wizards and Hasbro and they are also looking into the wpn stores and the exploit with the tech people. I'm a journalist and one that f the first Magic players I will always fight for what is right. You guys make it unattainable for people like me and it's sickening. Like I understand things will go up but to straight up just go for the throat is wrong. Magic used to be about community, friends and family the past 8 years all I see is people who only care about money and what they can get from others. You guys are pushing people away from magic along with wizards and Hasbro for allowing all this to happen.

We all agreed prior to the event that we would work together and split the profit three ways when it sold. The sheet was stored at Tournament City Games for the time being. Three years later I wake up to a facebook post of the same, one of a kind, sheet being listed for sale by a guy named Landon Artherholt. After some digging I learn that they sold the sheet out of the public eye to avoid giving us a cut. When nick made his distaste about the situation known they messaged him privately and paid him (sounds a lot like hush money) to try to stop the noise around the situation, yet nothing has been said to me. I've known the owners of tournament city games for years so none of this surprises me. The talks of not giving me my cut began shortly after we won the sheet because Robert had put in more tickets towards it than I did. I do think it's worth noting that the reason for this is that I actually competed in side events to earn my portion of the tickets whereas he (against Konami policy) purchased his tickets from participants at the event. This same shop now hosts regionals in the Frederick, MD area. TL:DR Tournament City Games in Frederick robbed me and then bribed someone else to keep quiet

HUGE used book store and well worth the drive!…read more Their trade in process was really straightforward - when you walk in there's a trade in counter where they ask you to put your books into bins. I had one large bag that I sorted between two bins, one for books and the other for single issue comics and DVDs/non-books. About 45 minutes later I got a text that my trade-in was ready. I came back to the same counter after browsing the store and they offered me in-store credit or a lower amount in cash. They also returned the items they didn't want and I had the option to take them with me or leave them as a donation. I think it was a fair deal for what I donated, and I opted for the in-store credit. The store has a great mix of used books, dvds, comics, vinyl, and more that's pretty well organized. I will say there's a fair amount of duplicates of certain titles and it was interesting that some were priced higher than others - so check all the labels! In general the prices were reasonable with a few exceptions - I saw a really worn copy of a new hardback that they were selling for the list price ($35!) even though it had been out long enough that other books sellers were discounting it already. But then I also got a box set of dvds for $10 and a bunch of kids books for $0.50-2.00. It was easy to spend that in-store credit!

I have been shopping at this store for years now, unfortunately todays trip will be my last. Mckays…read morehas always had inaccurate pricing, but today they were so bad that I almost thought I was dreaming. Tell me why I saw Star Wars the Clone Wars: Lightsaber Duels for $18... Currently this game goes for $3.67 on pricecharting, heck when it game out in 2008 its peak was only a measly $5. Multiple gbc/gba shovelware games all overmarket, by around 10 dollars as well. In general the amount of 3-5 dollar games that they are trying to pass off as 15 - 20 dollar games is dis gracefully disgusting. The point of traveling to these stores are to get the good deals. All of the inventory they have are traded in for or donated so it makes NO sense! It seems that the employees make guesses when it comes to prices, that or they are being told to overprice by upper management. By the gaming section there was a sign that claimed that all of the consoles and equipment is tested beforehand by "gamers with over 30 years of experience" whatever that means. I got an Xbox One Kinect from them back in December, and worked normally. A couple days later I wanted to try using its mic functionality, was not functioning. So it was never fully tested by "gamers with over 30 years of experience" lol. The worst part is that they give you a 3 day warranty... it's not like people have kids, jobs, or other commitments I guess. The media (dvds and blu rays) were also overpriced per usual. Usually only by 5-10 bucks. My main discrepancy today was that I saw multiple dvds and blu rays with dirt and filth smattered on the covers. Your telling me that they have the audacity to up charge, and still refuse to even spend 10 seconds wiping the cover with a lysol wipe? Is it that hard to do? Disgusting! I can't speak on their book pricing as I am not well versed but pretty much everything else is overpriced in this store. It really sucks because these type of stores are supposed to be for lower income families who can't buy new. And instead is being treated like a greedy gaming convention booth. I genuinely feel bad for kids nowadays who want to start growing a small gaming collection post pandemic. With greedy "thrift" stores like this, even the shovel ware games are off-limits.
