Very helpful in navigating the store, or online orders. The store is smaller than others, like Scarborough or Windham or Waterville, however, they still offer a lot of great items for fair prices and it all adds up if you are a rewards member. If you have something specific you are looking for, you may want to call ahead to see if they have it at this store, which again, is smaller. My family typically looks for movies, music, books and games. I love the fun, magnets, toys and collectibles. Everyone we shop with usually walks out with something fun. Parking can be tough if there is construction or the farmers market is open, if you are willing to walk a bit, then it's no problem at all accessing it.

It took another 4 days for them to correct they overcharge, I sent her and the owner a copy of my credit card statement showing the four charges, and he ignored it, so he is okay with his employees committing credit card fraud. You should not consider pricing when a company tries to rip off and will not even acknowledge a mistake if t was one. After my third complaint about correcting their error or intentional credit card fraud, "Mary" closed my account. Was a customer for 3 years and spent over $1,000 with them. I would recommend not doing business with them because of their refusal to admit their own error, and they tried to cover it up by refusing to acknowledged and then closing my account. the fact that the owner would not respond showed that he was okay with it, so stay away and choose other online retailers that you do not have to check your credit card statement after each purchase. Anyone filed a police report against them in Maine? Gene Moran

This new employee owned Bull Moose store is way less cramped than its former Sanford location, where I've shopped for music a long way back. This store had their grand opening a few months ago. Like its old location except more spread out inside, the Biddeford location offers a pretty good selection of new and used music, movies, video games, and books to choose from. The store is well organized nicely by sections with vinyl records, books, CDs, video games, DVDs, Blu-rays and miscellaneous items in between. The music is organized by genre alphabetically with a mix of new and used CDs, They also carry used cassettes ($3 each) underneath the old vinyls. The prices including the sale prices here are very competitive to the online music stores. The Bull Moose website is a good place to search and find which stores have your item or title in stock. They also do special orders and accept used music, movies, and video games for $$$ if in good condition. I spotted several used CDs from 20 years ago being sold for as low as $2.97, which I have in my personal collection and are no longer made. As a holder of the Bull Moose Music FBC (Freakin' Buyers Card), I earn points with each purchase here and receive the Bull Moose Music weekly emails with their e-sales flyers, new releases, promotions, and events (chainwide). IMO, the new Biddeford Bull Moose location is a great improvement to the older cramped location, though it's not as big as the Scarborough Superstore location.

Before this store became BAM it was Borders, I have been shoooort I got here forever. My children are pretty much grown now (18 & 20) but this was my go to entertainment spot. They used to have a story hour. They had events several times a month. Themed of course, lego events, Dr Seuss Bday event and of course Harry Potter. Book signings are always fun. Now back to Heidi. She has been the one constant at this location. She knows my children by name. Would always check in on them when we were shopping. My daughter loves her. She over heard my daughter and I talking once around the holidays a few years back and as we were leaving the store she stopped us with a bag for my daughter! She over heard my daughter say she liked a HP scarf. It was in the bag with a happy holiday! They are always well stocked, staff is friendly, and I it is a great meet up pot for a cup of tea with a friend!

I love when I'm offered to have an in-demand or hard-to-find book shipped to my house. Easy peasy. I resisted joining the membership program (which is cheaper than Barnes & Nobles) until I realized that 50% off best sellers, 10% off all else, the reusable coupons, and free shipping would save hundreds. Wish I had listened and done it sooner. It's so nice that there are still some places where the customer comes first.

The store was neatly organized and well stocked, like most Bull Moose stores. The staff was super attentive and friendly. You can tell they are well liked by customers/community - they seemed to know everyone that was in there. We just had a quick visit to pick up an online order. It was fast and so easy. The person that helped us was really nice and we could hear that she had a cold of some kind - so I was relieved to see that she was wearing a mask in consideration of others. There were a lot of elderly customers while we were there and I can't imagine an illness would be helpful. The prices, especially for newer releases are very competitive even against giants like amazon. And it's supports Bull Moose - locally owned with much better customer service than big box. They also have never cancelled a pre-order on us, unlike other big retailers. Bonus - their loyalty program is AWESOME!!!!!

I remember in my childhood it being a favorite chain to visit for new music releases as well as video games too. Basically it's a spot to grab new and used physical media. It was recently announced this particular location of Bull Moose will be closing the end of this month. During this time they are offering buy one get one on pre-owned items. You will find books, video games, CDs, DVDs/Blu-Rays, records and some other things. The store was quite crowded and they've definitely sold through a good amount of their stock with some shelves empty already. My wife enjoyed browsing the books and ended up buying one new book and some others will add to her future book wants. Overall they had a good selection of stuff with some things reasonably priced especially with the BOGO deal. Staff were friendly and greeted us right away. Definitely some aspects of the location are dated but it kinda works for a record/cd shop/physical media store. If you are a fan of Bull Moose or getting back to more physical media then come here before they close or go to one of their other locations otherwise.

In both instances we usually end up buying something because of the vast selection of music, games, toys and socks and the reasonable prices. The staff members are similar to most Bull Moose stores, they are very laid back but are also very attentive. Someone is always there to greet you when you walk in the store, which for me automatically puts a smile on my face. The greeting seems sincere as well, not just a forced smile through stone eyes. Bull Moose (the whole chain) is the only place we go to for vinyl. The quality is always very good in their used collection and again, the prices, are very reasonable. Used blue rays are also a good deal here, the selection is sometimes unbelievable, not sure how they manage to get their stock, but if they don't have what you are looking for ask. They can call up any store in their system and order it for you as well. Video games, yes, old OLD and new, you can shop here for collectors vintage games or the newest games, almost any mainstream system. The cash out process is very easy and don't forget to sign up for the rewards program if you haven't already. They really do benefit you in the long run. I highly recommend Bull Moose and this location, because there is plenty of parking and if you know me, parking does matter

Gulf of Maine is one of my favorite indie bookstores anywhere!…read more There aren't many places in Brunswick that date back to my youth that I can say that I've been a fan of and someone who shops there. Gulf of Maine. Not even Bull Moose has been around since 1979, like Gulf of Maine. Back when my politics and literary tastes were still forming, I ventured into the store that Beth Leonard and Gary Lawless were running (on the other side of Maine Street, if I recall). They've managed to maintain a presence in downtown, long after many other similar stores have disappeared. For me, there is no other bookshop that carries such a wide array of what I'd characterize as politically progressive books and authors--Noam Chomsky, Ward Churchill, Howard Zinn, Barbara Ehrenreich and a host of others. But to label G of M as merely a political bookseller misses the point entirely. Both Gary and Beth carry a wealth of Maine writers, too. I mean, even a veritable unknown writer like me has had success selling his titles through their store. Plus, I now know who Ruth Moore his simply because Gary and Beth are a fan and I asked about the bumper sticker I saw on their car that read, "Read Ruth Moore." I believe that bookstores make communities richer, especially stores that don't just cater to the lowest common denominator, or stock merely bestselling hacks and their trade paperbacks, not that there's anything wrong with them. The next time you are in downtown Brunswick, park your car on Maine Street, walk up and down the vibrant main thoroughfare, bordered by an ample village green, independently-owned coffee shops and other unique shops, and make sure you stop in and see what a real bookstore looks like. That would be Gulf of Maine Books.
