I'm not about to spend $20 on a DVD... sorry, I'm way to frugal for that. So, I go to Bull Moose and can usually find a pre-owned DVD for about $5!! cha-ching! More money in my pocket makes me a very very happy girl. And for about $5 per DVD, I typically go in there and get anywhere from 3-6 pre-owned DVDs (and sometimes the new ones are a great deal also). As a result, my DVD collection is looking pretty impressive. =+) And, I didn't have to spend loads of cash on some SWEET titles. The selection is incredible!!!! I always go there with some titles in mind, and they've NEVER let me down! Bull Moose rocks!!!!!! I am now a loyal and regular customer.

This is my favorite Bull Moose location. It feels like you're stepping back into the '90s. Yes,…read moreit's oh-so-small and maybe not the cleanest, but a) their playlist is genuinely amazing and varied (you'll find yourself singing along, thinking to yourself 'I haven't heard this in ages!', or maybe even discreetly pulling up Shazam [...you could just ask, y'know]) b) the vibes feel like an indie record store; you'll feel welcome here, like you could genuinely take your time looking through every vinyl available without being rushed or pressed to purchase something, c) the staff are cool (but not in the "cooler than you" way like at other Bull Mooses), they're helpful, they're patient, and they seem interested in talking music (from current day pop to 1970's soul and jazz to melodic techno).

Bull Moose Music moved from its former smaller store in Sanford to a bigger plaza space at…read moreBiddeford Crossing. This bigger space was once a Nonesuch Books. This new employee owned Bull Moose store is way less cramped than its former Sanford location, where I've shopped for music a long way back. This store had their grand opening a few months ago. Like its old location except more spread out inside, the Biddeford location offers a pretty good selection of new and used music, movies, video games, and books to choose from. The store is well organized nicely by sections with vinyl records, books, CDs, video games, DVDs, Blu-rays and miscellaneous items in between. The music is organized by genre alphabetically with a mix of new and used CDs, They also carry used cassettes ($3 each) underneath the old vinyls. The prices including the sale prices here are very competitive to the online music stores. The Bull Moose website is a good place to search and find which stores have your item or title in stock. They also do special orders and accept used music, movies, and video games for $$$ if in good condition. I spotted several used CDs from 20 years ago being sold for as low as $2.97, which I have in my personal collection and are no longer made. As a holder of the Bull Moose Music FBC (Freakin' Buyers Card), I earn points with each purchase here and receive the Bull Moose Music weekly emails with their e-sales flyers, new releases, promotions, and events (chainwide). IMO, the new Biddeford Bull Moose location is a great improvement to the older cramped location, though it's not as big as the Scarborough Superstore location.

I shop for records all over the country and have never seen a more overpriced record store…read more They certainly have a commendable amount of inventory- in particular of foreign rock n roll pressings. If you are a KISS fan especially, there is a lot of specialized, rarer stuff here. But the rare inventory seems to come at the cost of all the inventory's pricing. The prices are 2-3 times what I've paid for the same condition pressings elsewhere- sometimes 4-5 times more. I'm not sure how it's getting these prices especially in a small town like Rochester. A bummer- if the prices were in line I would've bought a good dozen records!

Though they had a great selection of best sellers and new releases, they were all sold out of this one. They told me they'd give me a call the next day if they got it in, and took down my information. Luckily, the next day my phone rang, and one of the extremely friendly employees told me they had the book and had set aside a copy for me. When I arrived, they had the book and even offered to gift wrap it for me. This was an all-around great experience with excellent service, and I'll definitely be back when I'm in the area again!

While visiting Damariscotta the first bookstore you may stumble upon will be Sherman's. While exploring the town afterwards we spotted signs mentioning a used bookstore that lead us to this spot. They have lots of parking available right by but also easy to walk to from Main Street too. Inside honestly feels very much like an old school library. The staff also made us feel welcome and the vibes were comfy. While we did not browse through every single book, the space is so large you could spend hours upon hours to find that hidden gem! They also had some sections where books appeared to be very cheap. I did overhear and saw online that everything is donated and all proceeds support the Skidompha Public Library located in town. What a fantastic way to support the library while also giving those visiting here a chance to get some good book deals! I would certainly call this one of the better used bookstores I have visited. We did not buy anything but love the fact it's all by volunteers and use it as a way to support the public library. Worth taking the small detour off the beaten path!
