For the first time ever, I did a somewhat large Big Lots curbside order. It was a mistake. I has my…read morehusband and son pick it up and they were given 1 big bag. When I went through it, most of my order was missing. I called and was put on hold without being asked who I was. When she came back she said, 'I'm sorry, you still have 2 bags sitting here'. I sent them back to retrieve the 2 bags and there was still 2 items missing from the order. I was very unhappy, but decided to let it go, because gas costs more than the $2.58 I was losing. Later on I decided to look at one of the other products that I purchased 2 pkgs of, and discovered that each package only contained 1, when it was supposed to contain 3, which means I paid 3 times more for 3 times less. (I chose the 3 pk in the first place, to make shopping a little less painful for whomever got stuck doing it. I should have chosen the 1 pk). By this time, I'm feeling like a teapot ready to boil over. It was getting late and I didn't want to handle the situation entirely inappropriately, so I decided to wait until I calmed down to call the next day, about that and the other items that I had originally decided to just forget about. The next day came and I decided to take the loss, because to go back a 3rd time, I'd still be taking a loss, just not as big. I don't plan on shopping there again, not even if we're in a pinch, unless we're doing it ourselves. The way things are for us/me right now though, that probably means we just won't be shopping at the Bay City store ever again. :(

I knew how things worked, what the capabilities were, what it felt like and what it sounded like. The owners were extremely helpful and patient with me, they were interested that I felt right about my new equipment, and there was no pressure or upsell. They also helped me understand the proper setup and functions of my new stuff. The worry about how I might return something if it wasn't right was gone completely. I was happy and I could take the item home with me that day. The very best part? I PAID LESS! I got hands (and EARS!) on experience, expertise to help me understand the setup and functions of my equipment in a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere, all at a lower price than I would have had I ordered online.
