Beware. This store scams you. They advertise one price and do not always update their prices. Their stickers on their items can apparently advertise one price and they will not honor it. I asked when the prices change and he said Sundays or Monday's. We purchased the items on a Saturday so it had a week to sit there without someone updating the prices. The man on the phone was quick to become rude and advised that it's a lack of their employees doing their job and that they will not honor what their employees don't do. I advised that they should honor the prices being advertised to customers so that it's not false advertisement and that it would then hold their employees to a higher standard. He disagreed with me and said that's not how their store runs. So be aware. They have horrible customer service and extreme false advertisement as well as overpricing. They will defend employees not doing their jobs over holding them accountable and making things right. The store will not care about this review but maybe it can help customers go somewhere else. read more

I don't quite understand the negative reviews here, lol. Me and my best friend were on a mission to get a new OLED, we had gone to the gamestop in Norterra, then purchased the OLED from the store in Arrowhead mall. He paid full price for the switch, but when we got to the car and began driving we realized it was heavily used and we had not been notified of this at all. The controllers were gross and the console was all scratched up. He had paid almost full price so he was pretty upset and wanted to exchange it. Since we were already heading in that direction, we decided to stop at this gamestop to see if we could exchange it. There was only one worker, I don't quite remember his name. We explained the situation and he immediately began to help us. Unfortunately, our receipt was not functioning correctly and he was running into issues with getting the exchange/return to process (not his fault, the computer) he made several phone calls to get it figured out and consistently stayed focused on us and the issue we were having, despite running the whole store by himself and helping other customers simultaneously. In the end we got the switch exchanged properly after his help and a little wait due to the technical issues. The guy was so sweet and friendly and we were super grateful for his help! read more

I have been coming to this location for years since they opened. Always great service. I have only purchased new and used games, gaming consoles and gifts. They have a ton of cool stuff online. This trip I came for a deal on a used and new Nintendo Switch game for Christmas for our girls. I had a list of what I wanted to get and I am shopping as I find deals. Great customer service. They even took the time to explain some details about the Switches as far as controllers accessories for family game play. What they didn't have J was able to find online and it was shipped free after meeting the minimum purchase requirement. read more

Side note, these positive comments that I see do not reflect either time I walked into this Gamestop, to submit or to pick up my cards. Employees look like emotionless souls that do not care and just want you to get out so they can do nothing and ignore the phone as it keeps ringing. Do not send your cards to get graded at this Gamestop... First they held my cards(about 20 cards) for 3 weeks before even shipping them out because "the manager is the only person who is allowed to send cards off and the employees do not know when he will return." If this is true why isnt the manager informing their staff on their leave as well as why is no one else able to send cards off. It gets worse. I sent in a metal Mew card which PSA could not grade due to some sort of form not being submitted. Gamestop has no clue on the form they are referring to and the employee who works there says he has no idea he doesnt really know about PSA grading.... Save yourself 80 days of wasted time and go to another Gamestop or just submit your cards through PSA. read more

I bought my son a switch with 3 games for Christmas. He didn't like one of the games so i figured i wud return it. I go to this store against my better judgement since this was the store that finger printed me when i was trading games awhile ago. When i got there the guy told me he cudnt do a return cause the seal was broken but he could do store trade. I explained i just bought the game, $60 game for my son for Christmas, he doesn't like, how is he suppose to know if he likes the game or not unless he " breaks the seal and opens the fucken game?" So let me get me get this straight, i buy a game that cost $60, cant return it but u can give me $20 for it for trade in value on a brand new game? This regards the employee named, Alex. This may not be understanding to everyone but for some it will. Currently serving active duty, deployed and overseas at this moment. My nieces 9th birthday was today and I told my brother to take her to get whatever she wanted at GameStop, I sent my brother card information and photo id and had him on the phone with me to purchase and was blatantly denied because I was not physically there. Saying it's the policy he knows so he will not go against it. The day prior I contacted this exact store to confirm the actions above would be okay and was told that is perfectly fine he just will not be able to get a military discount which is perfectly OK with me! Then for him to go in today and be denied was absurd. Even a FaceTime wasn't enough. I asked for his managers number or email was denied that as well. I can't always be near my phone but made sure I was for this, for her. Active, reservist, guard, military spouses, husbands and retired will all understand this when I say we cannot always be physically there but we try to do our best to make up for it. Stood in line for well over an hour to preorder a playstation 5. 30 minutes prior to opening, one of the employees notified the 45 of us in line that not only did they only have 12 preorders available, but that all those playstation 5s we the digital editions, with none capable of playing disks at all. In my opinion this was irresponsible and disrespectful of Gamestop for those of us who took today off to preorder, but was also a very unethical practice designed to draw potential customers to the store. I will never return to this location again, and I will probably take my business to another company entirely should I see this type of practice continue at Gamestop. Many of the individuals I spoke with in line this morning agree entirely. Gamestop, you have made it clear that you don't really care about your customers, so you will continue to lose these customers until you make significant changes to your business practices. I wish you and your employees the best of luck, and I hopefully await a heartfelt reply indicative of responsible adaptation to customers' wants and needs. I got SCAMMED by this game stop. I traded in well over $1000 worth of equipment and was offered $675 in trade credit which I agreed to. I was given the card went to use it just find out the money was gone off of the card and someone used it somehow in a different state. They refuse to help me or give me another card this is unacceptable. I have been a Game Pro member for 15 years and this is how they help. read more

I went into this GameStop to trade in sone games and Jasmine assisted me. She has the worst customer service and was rude from the get to. Within the first 3 minutes of speaking she started complaining about her co worker whom went to lunch and told me that I will have to be patient. Keep in mind that I never said I was in a hurry and was willing to wait for assistance. The crazy thing is that there was only one other person in the store, so I don't know why she is so busy. It makes me sad that I had this experience because this GameStop is so close to my house but I won't be coming here anymore. read more

The store has improved drastically over the past few years. The quality and cleanliness of the store matches up to some of the best locations in the valley. The customer service is great for the most part on the exception of some of the girls who work there. They always seem to come off as frustrated or not happy to be working. The guys on the other hand are awesome and very attentive to help, and talk about the latest games and releases. read more

I preordered my ps4 the day they announced the the ability to preorder. I received multiple calls coming from management to confirm they could only hold the system for 48 hours and to let me know they will have one waiting. I spoke with an employee and she wanted to confirm when I would be in to pick up my system. I told her launch day afternoon as I'm an adult and don't need to sleep outside to get a system... That's why I preordered it... She confirmed and said it would be bundled with my 3 games and extra controller (also preordered) waiting for me. When I got to the store that afternoon, I informed the guy behind the counter I was there for my preorder. He said I have to wait to talk to another employee then continued to just stand there. So I waited, when the other employee got done helping another customer he proceeded to tell me that there are no ps4s. His explanation was his manager sold to many on launch night... So they had none... They also had an empty list of preorders that weren't filled because of this... What kind of manager cant do a simple task such as set aside the preorders you have received then sell the surplus. Especially after the phone calls and confirming I will be there launch day to pick it up. As a business owner myself this does not make smart business sense... To treat your loyal customers, who have spent thousands at their store, like this is unacceptable... I have spent my last cent in this store and this location has lost a customer for life as well... I ordered several games at GameStop.com for my family for Christmas. When I received my order in the mail, the order was packed incorrectly. Instead of The Price is Right and Bejeweled 3 (for Xbox 360), I received Deus Ex (Wii) and Rock Band 3 (Xbox 360). I went to the Camino A Lago store in Peoria, AZ to return them and they could do nothing to help me. They could not exchange the wrong games for the correct games, or even let me return the games for a refund of my money. They just told me to call GameStop.com customer service. The store associate could not provide me with the GamesStop.com customer service number. The store associate that I spoke to on the evening of December 18, 2015, said he was the manager on duty. He was not helpful at all. I immediately called the GameStop.com customer service number (which I found myself) and waited on hold for over 30 minutes. A recording kept telling me there was an unusually large call volume, which I attribute to many other incorrect shipments from GameStop.com or poor staffing at the call center. I have also reviewed the return policy, which is terrible. I should have checked that sooner, then I would never have ordered anything from GameStop.com. I will be returning all of the items from my order and I will never shop at GamesStop again. There is no point in shopping at GamesStop when there are retailers like Amazon.com and Target with far better logistics, customer service and return policies. read more
