Really nice ambience in this place, love the 80s retro music, very fitting. I picked up several Atari 2600 games and have an Atari 2600 console system on order. This is a great place for low or moderate income people. And prices are still relatively low compared to new. I love the thrift stores and go in with an open mind and open heart to their cause.

They don't even wash it, they don't iron it, they get it dropped off, stick a tag on it and chuck it on a rack. WHERE DO THEY GET OFF MAKING 800% profit on an item that is DONATED. The place was filthy. I don't know what they pay their employees to do since most of them seemed to be taking their sweet time putting things "back in order on the racks". They have it sorted by size, and by colorish. Shouldn't take all day to return items to racks. How about cleaning for once? I've added some images.The dressing rooms were appalling (See dirt, dust clumps and gum stuck to the wall images-I poked the gum with a stick I found on the floor and it was hard as a rock so it's been there for awhile). The management here is seriously lacking, if these "donations" are "providing jobs" to the community, then why not have the employees make a career out of it and let each member manage an area of the store instead of letting the place look like a dump and have no one care about the customer experience. It will teach responsibility, respect/ownership of those responsibilities, and highlight the store as a community asset vs. some donation dump zone. I feel bad for the members of the community, the people shopping here are usually on a budget (hence why they aren't at the mall across the street), why insult them by providing mediocre staff and a lack of store organization/hygiene?

But selection is what is good. Not sure if i've ever seen a buy one get one half off sale here or not. Purchased a few shoes here now and then but not really my first choice. Service is always helpful and friendly. No complaints. Convenient location due to being in Outlet mall with a Skechers, price comparing made easy. Worth a look, I've never found any amazing deals, but have found some unique shoes and some that fit my weird sized wide feet just right. So that's a bonus.

Magic singles are another hot item. The gaming area is awesome. Plenty of tables are up for card games, board games, etc... There's also still plenty of room for miniature gaming tables. I think there are at least 3 always set up. Tournaments/events are run regularly and professionally. The 40K tournaments embrace all aspects of the game, which I especially like. The owner is awesome. If you happen to be in a game and it's getting close to store close he has no problem waiting until the game is finished up. He is knowledgable in every game system he sells. He isn't pushy when it comes to sales either. I live in an area where our local store closed down. Oshkosh is about 45 minutes away for me but I never regret making the trip!

I live in FDL and didn't want to drive all the way to the store to return the glue, so I called the Manager to see what could be done. He was very, very accommodating, friendly and understanding, and said I could return the glue anytime I was in Oshkosh when it was convenient for me without worrying about when that would be. He gave me his name and told me to use it if there was any problem. FINALLY, a company who cares about its customers!!! That seems so rare these days. I love everything about Hobby Lobby and I'm so happy they recently opened a brand new store in Fond du Lac. However, I was stressed out and did not want to drive to Appleton just to buy a coloring book and some pencils (see: stressed out), so I ventured in. The store is HUGE, and has an ugly warehouse feel. They have every kind of craft item you can imagine (and some you can't), as well as a hefty dose of kitschy home decor stuff. The aisles didn't have signs that I could find, so I had to peer down each one to figure out if I was in the right neighborhood. I did find what I was looking for, though I was alarmed to see children playing with merchandise in the next aisle and eventually heard their parents prompting them to "clean up." I didn't realize this was a toy store... The kicker was that, as I approached the register, a cashier was asking her manager if she could leave, despite the fact that she was open and I was standing there with two items. She chuckled to me not to take it personally, haha, etc., but it kind of turned me off. The card reader also didn't work right, and I eventually had to slide my card the opposite way the arrows indicated. So I wouldn't usually come here, and my experience did nothing to change that.
