My husband and I went to return a game on Sunday. The door had store hours posted - Sunday hours were listed as 12pm - 8pm Est. The employee did not arrive to open the store until 12:10pm. He went inside (without saying anything to the 6 people waiting to be let in) and did not come back to unlock the doors until 12:18pm. 18 minutes after their opening time. I sure wanted this to be a good review. There was just too many negatives piling up. I should have gone with Target, and gotten games on line. But no, I was sucked in by the 'ol trade in your PS3 for credit towards a PS4. Time: took almost 45 min, although the store was almost empty. Credit, would have been less then half of recent ads, but I didn't trade in as I was told PS3 games don't play on 4, after my 3 was wiped clean. Discount? No type what so ever. But was encouraged strongly to get the store membership or their credit card for "future" discounts. Customer service, was good. I would have mentioned the PS3 games wouldn't work on the new console before erasing the drive(a change from past upgrades) but otherwise the store manager who was working was nice. She wanted to help, but GameStop is like walking onto a used car lot. Many ways to pay more money, but all the advertisements are just ways to get you on the premise. The manager was a gamer with good info but that didn't make up at all for all the negativity that was on the purchase. Just wanted to call and see if they have a few games and game systems I can purchase before I drive 7 miles. Thy pick the phone up set it down. Call back and it's busy. I did this over 20 Minutes. Today I went in to trade in a console and apparently it was a popular day for that. There were at least 2 guests ahead of me doing the same and at least 2 that came in behind me. In addition, there was a gentleman buying a new system with warranty and games, a person who needed a recommendation for a wirles gaming headset and a few people making ordinary transactions. I had to wait awhile because my system needed an update before they could proceed so i got to witness how Deniece (sp?), the amazing customer service representative / manager(?) Interacted with everyone. Despite being in the store alone except for a first day on the job employee, she handled the unexpected rush with grace. She was friendly and even toned with everyone and stayed genuine with suggestions (ie- "5 years ago this brand was top of the line but they seemed to have sacrificed quality for quantity and have really gone downhill. I have one of each of these other vrands and they are really good and this has been my favorite for the last four years or so.") She toggled between registers to make sure everyone was taken care of and even helped me to maximize my trade in value. All the while she was able to engage in friendly conversations and patiently but thoroughly explain things to her trainee so he could help and also learn as they went. Deniece is amazing and is prepared to go above and beyond for each and every customer. I will be returning for future purchases. Thank you! read more

They give it to you a price, I made a reservation of the game (with Name and everything) and when I came back 2 days later to pay it's not the same price. What a Shame!!!! They say Im a liar and blablabla .... Finally I show I'm right and I show there's a mistake and they continue to say I'm a liar... this is the worst store ever!!! I pre-order Madden ever year at this place... need I say more... oh yes I DO! DON'T be lazy... sell your old games on ebay. NEVER... I repeat NEVER trade them in or sell them to Gamestop. You will definitely get a way better price by selling them on ebay. Gamestop would love to buy your last years version of Madden for $5.99, then turn around and sell it used for $29.99.
