Michael (main management) does an exceptional job at maintaining this place in great detail. The selection isn't expansive but it is really impressive as to how they make the effort to display and promote product's. Like most GameStops you do get good value for your money. Now to the bad: Although not their fault. We need to stop Scalpers! I was collecting Pokémon cards since some of these scalpers were in diapers! I do it as a hobby but these ym's (Young men) are just here to make a quick buck. I would like to suggest a number tickets system when lining up. I've been going to GameStop for years and I've really have never had a bad experience. I've purchased things from the is store many times and every time I am greeted with friendly smiles and folks who are just excited about games in general. The employees here really set the bar for quality service. There's never been a time I didn't walk out smiling or laughing at a conversation I had with the team. Exceptional products, exceptional customer service. I always come here to buy my games and I was here to pre-order the new Pokémon Scarlet and Violet games. They informed me about all the different options I had for pre-order and told me how I could use my rewards points towards it once I pick up the games in November. This is a Company wide review. Not just one store If I could give 0 stars I would. First off. I hate this company. They take advantage of their customers. They don't care about the customers. Never trade in your games here they are complete cheapskates. Never EVER subscribe to their magazines or rewards. You can get stuff for free online with what they claim to offer. And finally never order your stuff online from them if you do. Don't do express shipping it's a scam. They will pull bs on you and it'll get there past the standard shipping date. Stick with amazon, Walmart, bestbuy or target. I hope GameStop goes out of business. Screw them. I am not a gamer. I was years ago, but not anymore. I am probably dating myself, but Electronics Boutique and FunkoLand were my stomping grounds, about 25 years ago. However, I still occasionally visit stores of this nature. Since I frequent other establishments in the Pompano City Center, I have gone into Game Stop. I like the setup and unique figures over the games. From Pop Funkos to figurines of an old fashioned MegaMan, you can find interesting items at this store. Most of the associates I have dealt with have been kind and friendly. I am always wary that the associates with be snarky and make me feel silly if I ask a basic question. I have not had this experience in this GameStop. I give it 3/5 because I question its existence. You can literally get anything from this store from Amazon at a lower price, so why waste time visiting this establishment? On the other hand, I used to love this type of store years ago, so if you still love it or have young ones who feel this way, I am all for it. read more

Doing the holidays I was on a quest to find a specific type of toys for my husband as Christmas presents, so I went all over town to different game stops. Which is the store that you would most likely find these little critters, they had one... which I had found somewhere else prior. This particular store is located at the Pompano City Centre. It was very cluttered but it is understandable because they try to cram as much merchandise as they can during the holidays for people to grab and go. I was also looking for a game for my younger son and when I ask at the counter if they had it I was told 'yes of course'. And then I was given the box that was out on the floor with the game they had behind the counter, meaning it was not factory sealed. I asked the sales associate if he had a brand new copy, and he replied sassily 'this is a brand new copy, no one has play it' Then again I don't know that, the game has been open previously and if there is something is wrong with it, they could claim the same thing. Of course I didn't buy it. What bothered me the most was the attitude this guy took. Talking down on me like I'm a stupid parent who doesn't know about video games... Boy, I been playing video games before you were even born!! Anywho. This place was a waste of time. read more

Worst customer service ever. Manager refused to replace a preordered game that was broken before it was played. Manager, named Richard, who was obviously frustrated that we were there in the first place, placed the game outside the door, cursed in my boyfriends face and closed the door. There was no professionalism and this "manager" needs to be written up. Hopefully once we get ahold of the district manager this establishment will show us the respect we deserve as consistent paying customers. I am sick to my stomach and extremely disappointed.
