Florida Pawn - Margate location is imo the BEST pawn shop I've ever been to... WHY?! The people who work there are helpful, kind, professional and they have made doing business with them a pleasure each time I've visited the Margate location. The types of transactions I've done with them: *Taken out a loan on 99.9 silver coins for couple of months a few years ago. (AND I received text messages reminding me when the payments were due too!). *Purchased jewelry that have been flawless/new-looking and have impressed those I have gifted. The quality was impeccable and a good deal less of a purchase price than I would have had to spend at a jewelry store. *Purchased musical instruments that are superb. *They usually have a good and intriguing display of Silver and Gold coins etc... I managed to get some Junk Silver coins - I especially like the ones that are prior to1965 because they are readily known as 90% Silver content. ***BTW with the holidays fast approaching (i.e. in looking at the date - Christmas is precisely 2 weeks from today!!) - you may indeed want to stop in at FL-Pawn (Located on the West side of the intersection of 441/State Rd 7 and Coconut Creek Parkway, in Margate). Their store has an appealing array and layout of items! Great and a few rare guitars etc (ask Richard and Collin - they know their history too!) and other rare and sought-after items in many different categories beyond musical instruments and precious metals/jewelry etc. ***A special thank you to those who have waited on me and have had patience of Saints with all of my questions: Richard and Collin and of course Frentzie!!! +++ And if the family of Frentzie Jean-Baptiste reads this post, please know that she was clearly a kind, wonderful lady with a warm smile and with a Good Heart and Soul... I stopped but today to pawn some video games. The workers were so polite and friendly. I enjoyed talking to the guy that works there with the beard ‍, you'll know him when you see him! He was very informative about everything and professional. To be honest, both workers were professional and polite! The store was well stocked and clean with neat paintings and nice electronics. Jesse V is Here! So I'm stopped at a traffic light by this Pawn Shop and I remember that Jesse V works here. I shoot a quick text and say Hello and tell him I'm right by the Margate Pawn Shop. He answers and tells me he's there and that I should stop by. I tell him my wife and I are on are way to Flanagan's and I'll hit him up later. We get to Flanagan's and as we are eating I text Jesse and ask him if he has any good radios or Portable generators. He says no to the generators by yes to the radios. I said I'm looking for a Bluetooth Radio that has really good sound etc...he has a Polk one that's really good and that he will sell for it a good price. He tells me the price and I look it up on google. Whoa his price is good so I have to go check this out. The Deal I drop my wife off and go to the shop. Jesse buzzes me in and we shoot the shit. I have to say Jesse cleans up nice. He was in a business shirt and slacks. His demeanor was not would you expect if you seen him post on threads. He was very professional and didn't even crack one joke. Honestly I'm not sure if I like the business Jesse V. LOL. He shows me the radio and it's still in the box. He offered to plug it in and have me inspect it. I was kinda in a rush so I said that was ok. He then states that if I take it home and it doesn't work or I don't like it he will refund my money. Cool. I'm telling you this thing retails for 300 bucks new and Jesse gave me an awesome price. I pay cash and off I go. The Goods I get home and plug this bad boy in. I read the directions which were in the box and cut this on. I connect my phone to it and start playing one of my favorite U2 songs, Exit. Hot damn the sound is fantastic and loud for a small square box. I'll be the envy of everyone at my FAU Football Tailgate parties. The Verdict You would be crazy not to stop here and check out what he is selling. I'm a big fan of Jesse V and now of his shop too. Had a great experience at Margate Pawn a few days ago. I went to a few others around the same area and they were rude and obnoxious, and they offered me nothing for my jewelry. Stay away....they take in stolen jewelry. (But then most pawn shops probably do as well) They have thousands of dollars of my personal jewelry, stolen from my house in early June. They had to know it was stolen because there were names engraved on many pieces. Then they intentionally misspelled both first and last name in police database. I plan to sue. read more

I went to this pawnshop with several pieces of gold to sell. I was asked how much I wanted and told them $300.00. After they tested all the gold, they gave me $700.00. I left there knowing this place wasn't a rip off and I did go back with more gold. They treated me like I was part of the family and again gave me more than I asked. They could have given me any amount I asked, but gave me what I now know a really fair deal. I'm telling everyone how great this pawnshop is. read more
