WHY?!…read more The people who work there are helpful, kind, professional and they have made doing business with them a pleasure each time I've visited the Margate location. The types of transactions I've done with them: *Taken out a loan on 99.9 silver coins for couple of months a few years ago. (AND I received text messages reminding me when the payments were due too!). *Purchased jewelry that have been flawless/new-looking and have impressed those I have gifted. The quality was impeccable and a good deal less of a purchase price than I would have had to spend at a jewelry store. *Purchased musical instruments that are superb. *They usually have a good and intriguing display of Silver and Gold coins etc... I managed to get some Junk Silver coins - I especially like the ones that are prior to1965 because they are readily known as 90% Silver content. ***BTW with the holidays fast approaching (i.e. in looking at the date - Christmas is precisely 2 weeks from today!!) - you may indeed want to stop in at FL-Pawn (Located on the West side of the intersection of 441/State Rd 7 and Coconut Creek Parkway, in Margate). Their store has an appealing array and layout of items! If there was ever a time I considered suicide. Today is the day. I pawn my laptop a month or so ago…read morebecause of being pressed for fast cash at the moment. I spoke to the guy told him how much it meant to me that there are photos of my dead father and the birth of my daughter on my laptop. It means the world to me. But I had personal issues to deal with. It was understood and overstood, a month later I called because I didn't have the funds to take it out. He told me I would have to pay $60 to extend it and that he would put a note on the laptop. I been in the hospital right after that. Called today since yesterday was Christmas. He said today they finally put it out and it still here so when I was discharged from the hospital I came straight over. When I got to the desk, the guy told me by the way the computer was set to factory settings. Honestly, I can't even write anymore because my heart is so broken. I cried in the store on the way to the pharmacy and driving to my house. I'm crying right now. Because at this point I don't even need the laptop I needed those memories. I still paid the $70 but Apple is telling me they might not be able to get it back because the iPhoto folder on the Mac is different from photos on your phone to backup to a cloud. All I can think about is just reuniting with my dad. I'm such at a lost. This company has shattered my spirit and my world.

The couple that owns the shop however, is a totally different story. They are only friendly with some customers. If you don't look like them, you probably aren't getting the friendly treatment and you will be ignored for a while until eventually they have no choice other than address you. They want to sell everything at MSRP and complain about anyone looking for a good market price. They will literally scold you if something doesn't go their way. If at least they were truly nice to all customers and actually friendly and reasonable, then this last part would be no big deal, but they aren't so it doesn't help that they have a large warehouse, yet the customer section is a tiny ugly showroom that looks like it's run by a 90 year old that lost their will to keep an organized and well presented store front. To the owners, would it kill you to greet everyone when they come into your store? Almost every time I go, you ignore me. I have literally stood there for five minutes and you have to buzz everyone into that tiny front lobby. Sometimes when the place is empty you actually say hello, but even then you just ignore me and I actually buy stuff from you or at least I used to until got tired of everything stated above.
