I popped in shortly before Christmas to scope a few games for my nephews and partner and was overwhelmed and impressed with the selection. The store itself brings back memories of the video/game stores of the 90's/2000's, so it was a trip down memory lane, especially with the old school TV's, posters and games of the past. I did not find what I was after, but had a good time wandering around. Service was friendly and helpful. Store was clean and in decent condition. Overall, cool spot to have in the neighborhood.

I found some great hard-to-find CD singles and full length LP's on CD that I've been looking for and didn't spend more than $15. Score! I didn't interact with too many employees but the one gentleman I spoke with twice was very nice. I love this new location and I feel a bit safer walking around this neighborhood also. A great idea by The Great Escape to move to this location which seems larger - always a good thing. I hope to come back when I have more time to browse and when my pocketbook allows.

While GameStop itself is criminal for the offers they give you now, which was $78 store credit for the console, two controllers and 6 games...the Associates themselves were friendly and helpful. I ended up accepting the trade in value and scooped up a pre-owned PS5 controller and new wireless charging station for the controllers. After setting my basket down and getting out my credit card, I realize he must be waiting for me to get the books out, so no problem, I'm not above that. He waits for me to get all my books out, scans them, and that's it. Doesn't give me a bag to put my all my books in, or even help put back in the basket. No words to indicate the interaction is over until I awkwardly realize it on my own. He was very off-putting. I will still be back because this place, otherwise, is amazing and I want to bring some family members and friends who I know will have fun too.

She found McKay's online and it seemed to be the best place to do that. Wow -- we were not prepared for the massiveness of this super, super busy place! Being our first time and not knowing how it all worked, it didn't take us long to figure out where to go and what to do. There wasn't much of a line when we started. We placed her books in a bin, then waited to be called by a greeter. Our greeter quickly explained the process, gave the daughter a claim ticket, then we waited. In the 40 minutes it took for her claim number to come up on the screen, we were able to walk through most of the sections and pick out a couple things to buy. I was quite surprised to find so many things beyond books -- DVDs, VHS, vinyl records, CDs, cassette tapes, clothing, Pokémon cards, instruments, game consoles, accessories, Legos, toys, comic books, etc. It was seriously amazing. My daughter decided to take her sale in trade which gave her about 50% more to spend. For the books they didn't buy she was given the option to take them back or donate them there. She chose to donate. The husband loves old movies, art and music -- he will absolutely enjoy McKay's. I can't wait to bring him here! The parking lot is as massive, so I don't think there's ever an issue with that.
